@Collin Mills Yep, they were bad. He was a shell of himself after 59-0. This game is always so sad to revisit, because you truly thought we didn't need Manziel to win big under Sumlin. We were recruiting well, guys like Seals-Jones, Hill, and Speedy Noil all had their peak in this game. Then nothing. He was out-coached horribly from this point on and recruiting took a nose dive midway through this season. We started 25-6 under Sumlin, had just recruited the 9th, 5th, and at the time, had the 2nd or 3rd ranked 2015 class. Then we lose 59-0, and finish 26-20 to close things out. And as for recruiting great defensive players? I can understand why that comment made sense 5 years ago.. He got a handful over 6 years like Garrett, Watts, Madubiuke, Mack, but overall, it left a lot to be desired and we always lacked depth on that side of the ball. Particularly at LB and DB. We are in much better hands on defense with Fisher recruiting.
should have shown some of the pre-game atmosphere, it was awesome even on TV. First game of the season, people tired of no football, expected to be a good game and the South Carolina stadium was rockin'. oh, here it is th-cam.com/video/hkTwy9JmTPc/w-d-xo.html
I remember watchin this live when i was in 8th grade. One of the best birthday presents i've ever gotten😂😂😂
I remember watching this live in 8th grade too, had me crying 😭
Damn I watched this in 8th grade too lmao
As always, thanks for taking the time to make the videos.
yeah, much appreciated.
4 years later and still a fun game to watch... Gig'em!
I became a diehard CFB fan in 2012 so all I knew was South Carolina being a great program lol. So this was insanely shocking at the time.
Its almost comical to listen to the commentary at this point... We'll see what jimbo can do for us
They'll have great recruiting classes but I don't predict them to ever go better than 10-2.
@@shchorss lmao
Pretty good I think 🤔
Great win against both teams by my Mizzou Tigers at their house...great game...SEC Football
The a&m o-line though. Please start giving Sumlin credit for creating this incredible offense. He also recruited great defensive players.
P.S. #9 though.
these were mostly coach Sherman's offensive linemen still

Really wild the radical turn that 2014 season took. The hype was real though. We thought we were gonna win the natty after this game.

This was the downfall for my gamecocks
Yeah, it was pretty much the beginning of the end. But I'll never forget those 3 11 win seasons. Man how I miss those days
