You say, 'Your instant poison is your main damage ability' but you do put your instant poisoned weapon to offhand. That's not true. Your offhand weapon has a bigger chance to miss, even if you are soft hit/expertise capped. That's why you had to keep Fast/Instant poison weapon in main hand slot. If your melee attacks are missing, your poisons will also miss.
You want Instant on your Off-Hand and Deadly on your Main faster weapon, it'll be more damage - many sims say it I'm hit capped for poisons, they won't miss
Regaring your envenom spam at 5 combo pts, a famous rogue once told me that I can use envenom at 4 combo to maximise my energy useage, since I waste one combopoint if I mutilate when I am at 4 combo points Tl;dr, you could use envenom at 4 combo pts and not 5

Rogue is by far my favourite class but I must admit in my 16yrs playing I’ve only ever played Sub and combat. So as combat on trash I have few tools and CDs but for assassination are we just spamming fok for any aoe pull? Loved the video but right now I’m still in dungeon phase gearing up and no one ever shows what do do when clearing dungeons and the packs in there, all videos focus on single target raid bosses. So just looking for tips while doing dungeons, mainly referring to multiple mobs. When I fok as combat on trash I’m usually bottom of dps. Again great video and looking forward to your combat/sub videos

Yeah so as a Rogue we aren’t the absolute best in AOE and all we really have, especially as Assassination is FoN :( Now as a Combat Rogue you actually do more damage in AOE scenarios, not to mention you can grab the FoN glyph to increase the damage by 20%! You also have Blade Flurry and Killing Spree - I am dropping the Combat Guide today actually :) ALSOOOO - great point on the fact nobody makes “dungeon guides” on this stuff… maybe I should make those?
@@itsego_tv the spellblade is only special because it is a dagger with 2.5 speed. The way fok is calculated it gives more dmg to slow weapons AND more to daggers. So since it is a 2.5 speed dagger it double dips on damage. You use it in your main hand with instant poison when spamming fok for more aoe dmg. Also you want instant on both weapons for fok spam. Trash doesn't live long enough for deadly poison to stack up and be beneficial.

Great question so mobs can actually dodge attacks that are made from behind them, players cannot however. They can’t parry anything from behind though. So your expertise rating will make sure none of your attacks are dodged :) I confirmed this after doing some research because you asked a great question!
Hardly ever open garrote in my experience since we typically have a bleed source (Feral / Warrior). Typically I'm Pre-pot | Stealth | Rocket Boots | Mutilate | SnD | Hunger for Blood (Rupture if needed via 1 Mutilate if no ruthlessness proc) | Mutilate (1 or 2 times to get 4/5 Combo) | Envenom.

So yes you're right, Poison hitcap is 17% which is 446. With 5/5 Precision you get 5% from the talents which means you'll only need 315 to cap on your poisons. If you're running with a Boomkin / Shadow Priest that can apply their respective Debuffs then you're looking at needing your 237 hit to reach your cap if you have 5/5 Precision and their debuff. I recommend running with 315 at all times because then you will always be hitting with poisons and not relying on others applying their debuffs at all times. Sometimes Boomkins just don't Faerie Fire.

Webbed Death is your BiS alongside Sinister Revenge (which comes off KT) Webbed Death is your BiS for the higher agility and faster weapon speed! Though Murder is great until you manage to get Webbed Death which is my current case!

So by pre-potting I’m assuming you mean Haste Potions and the answer is no, you want to get your Slice and your Hunger for blood up before you Pot because you want to Pot on your 2 mutilates and Envenom - or you can pot after your first Envenom! I tend to use Cold Blood on my first Envenom and then pop a Haste Pot but overall no you don’t pre-pot any Haste Pots from my perspective
You would always want to prepot , tricks of the trade and mutilate into snd . Going for garrote is waste of dps and u want instead get autto attack and mutilate then bleeds from guildies would be up for HFB. This guide is basic but wont make parse higher as possible
@@MrHighbury765 exactly, if you have a warrior or any other class that applies bleed you open with mutilate, however you still need to keep stealth up till the last second for the energy regen through the talent overkill. Prepotting is also possible, you can pop potion of speed and immediatly stealth before u go in combat. Having nitro boots also help so that u wont have to worry about losing dps in both cases cause of the stealth ms delay.
Glyph of Vigor appears to require you to have the Vigor talent, so where would you pull that extra point from? I made the mistake of respeccing as you suggested, then added the Vigor glyph, only to discover it didn't work. I'm leaning toward pulling a point from Improved poisons.
@@donwilber1628 ah yes I read it wrong I thought the GLYPH gave the Energy but it actually increases the amount Vigor gives you, in all honesty I don’t recommend grabbing Vigor but if you absolutely want to you can probably pull points from improved poisons I guess?
if you let your energy pool up almost to full before you use envenom, you will have enough to get your mutilates in before the envenom buff wears off rather than just spamming it until you have enough energy for each ability
Nice video! I wouldn’t say “best” as Combat and Assasination are pretty close in terms of DPS most of the expansion. There’s definitely strengths to both depending on the encounter and what weapons you have available to you. 🙂 Combat is a bit stronger on trash with double slow weapons for bigger FoK hits and bosses with target swapping (more common in Ulduar, ToC and ICC)
So what I will say is Assassination is best on bosses, just from what I’ve seen, no Rogue has ever beaten me unless they too were Assassination! Combat though like you said, has its benefits compared to Assassination, it gives a damage bonus to the raid and they do still pump too - they also do AMAZING in AOE like you said! Once you get to a point where you can gem to 1400 arp cap, Combat starts to pass it on single target. There’s also a few bosses in Ulduar where you’d want both specs, generally a boss with multiple targets like Kologarn is where Combat will shine with its cleave abilities 🙂

The posions on weapons is not right it can be IP OH or main and DP on OH or main all depends on what weapons you are using and what hand there in

I don't believe it requires you to have the Vigor talent but it does stack with the talent. You shouldn't have to pull any points from anywhere! :)

Vigor isn’t good, it’s a trap. Zero increase in damage, you’ll never have your energy recharging that high.
That’s why I put it in optional haha it isn’t my first choice at all
