I think another Nirvana album with Dave adding a few ideas would of been exactly what the band needed to develop and would of put them on a more interesting future trajectory

After pursuing music for nearly my whole life, nearly 10 years in the industry without ever really going anywhere or developing a real career, and my band of 5 years also went nowhere and disbanded - I really feel that "FUCK MUSIC" feeling. I've been distancing myself from it, haven't played in over 6 months. It's so hard when the thing that you're supposed to love, and is supposed to heal you becomes the source of the pain. I feel so lost. It's nice knowing even the successful feels that too.

IMHO I feel that Kurt would have been immensely proud and supportive of the strides that Dave has made since his passing. I’m sure Kurt always knew that Dave had the talent to lead. I remember when I first heard that Dave was starting a new band post Nirvana. Given the gravity of this events, I was extremely cynical about him being a frontman. I’ve never been happier to be completely incorrect. This is why they do this, and I can not. From a Nirvana fan to a Dave fan to a Foo fan and back, thanks for all the reminders of why some people are just built different and why we find them so fascinating.

Yeah it just sounds like normie radio rock to me, cant get into it. Lyrics are melodramatic and cheesy, riffs are lame and forgettable. There's nothing compelling or poignant about it, like with Nirvana.
I'm also a huge Nirvana fan, I am not into Foo Fighters either but one song of theirs that I really do enjoy is Long Road To Ruin, give it a shot if you haven't heard it, sure it's a little more radio friendly than a lot of Nirvana but regardless it's got substance and a cool guitar solo.

Friends would say to me “why are you not playing any music” while driving, as they are aware of me loving and playing music, even friends that didn’t know I played, I love all genres of music If it’s sounds good to me. Honestly I feel this is a musician thing to sometimes catch waves of not wanting to play or make any music but then at some random moment tune in and make some of the most beautiful sounding music. Ya there’s times where people don’t feel like listening to music (Non musicians), but coming from a musician myself I notice that whenever I’m feeling down music is not what I want at the moment, I’ll drive without it even. But that is the beauty of music is that when you’re tuned in, it is honestly the safest and most potent drug. It’s keeping me going in life.
Seems like here everybody’s a bunch of kids who have no idea what the actual experience of that era was. If Kurt would’ve kept his shit together, I have a feeling within one or two albums. These two would’ve been collaborating in the writing process and jamming out and creating some of the best music of the last 30 years.
There are a few Foo Fighters's songs, that i like just as much as my favorites from Nirvana. Very different styles, but i enjoyed just the same... Nirvana, of course, had more of these songs in this level
I prefer Dave's songwriting VASTLY to Kurt's. I know, no one else will admit to it (and Kurt did write an occasional absolute masterpiece, I'll never suggest otherwise), but he writes great songs that are fun to listen to, play, and rage to. Some are pretty poppy, so? Some are deep as hell, and ALL are really, REALLY good.
FYI: The investigators of Kurt's death bullshitted the entire world. Not one person caught the little clue in Kurt's home, laying next to his body, and put 2 and 2 together.

If I had to guess I would say he hated it lyrically, which would be my critique of almost every Foo Fighters song. and that’s why Nirvana worked so well.
Dave also wrote the instrumentals to one of the heaviest songs in my opinion they put out. Scentless apprentice.

Friends would say to me “why are you not playing any music” while driving, as they are aware of me loving and playing music, even friends that didn’t know I played, I love all genres of music If it’s sounds good to me. Honestly I feel this is a musician thing to sometimes catch waves of not wanting to play or make any music but then at some random moment tune in and make some of the most beautiful sounding music. Ya there’s times where people don’t feel like listening to music (Non musicians), but coming from a musician myself I notice that whenever I’m feeling down music is not what I want at the moment, I’ll drive without it even. But that is the beauty of music is that when you’re tuned in, it is honestly the safest and most potent drug. It’s keeping me going in life.

There are a few Foo Fighters's songs, that i like just as much as my favorites from Nirvana. Very different styles, but i enjoyed just the same... Nirvana, of course, had more of these songs in this level
I prefer Dave's songwriting VASTLY to Kurt's. I know, no one else will admit to it (and Kurt did write an occasional absolute masterpiece, I'll never suggest otherwise), but he writes great songs that are fun to listen to, play, and rage to. Some are pretty poppy, so? Some are deep as hell, and ALL are really, REALLY good.
