    One thing I would love to clarify is that social interaction can come from you OR another bunny. Bunnies are social creatures, so if you’re free roaming a single bunny, it’s important to give them the attention they need. Do this by free roaming them in the rooms where you spend the most time. However, if you are free roaming multiple bunnies, having a separate bunny room can definitely check both boxes: your bunny is receiving social interaction and your bunny has space to run and play. Hope this helps!

      Yeah but it's hard to free roam in an apartment when 2 out of 3 bunnies don't get along with eachother and will fight eachother. I have to keep them in large pens when I'm at work. Then they free roam apart when I'm home. Or do you have any other tips ?

      I have a bunny, but I'm not allowed to have her free roam. She has a whole room as a home base and in the evening we let her roam around on the main floor. Would that be okay for her to have a good life?

    Your tips and ideas are great, as always, Morgan! I just wanted to reinforce, for anyone who is feeling guilty or discouraged because they can't accommodate a 100% free roam scenario: Every situation is different and every bunny is different, and there are legit reasons why you may not be able to give your bun 24/7 access to your entire home. The good news is that there are a variety of ways to give bunnies plenty of space and attention. The point is not HOW you provide those things but just that you DO. It's okay if your way isn't exactly the same as someone else's.

      I appreciate this comment so much! We found a bunny in our alley driveway. Posted on social media and she wasn't claimed so we've had her for a week now and I decided I want to keep her to ensure she is loved and cared for. The vet said she is healthy and only about 7 months so we welcomed her into a home with 2 cats, a mastiff mix dog, and a turtle. She has already booped noses with both the cats and dog and once they all feel safe together I want to allow her to free roam under supervision. 💜 she is so precious! And her personality already shows especially her bravery with bothe the cats and dog. After all my research I've seen that since they are a prey animal this combo might not fit but her and the dog were laying right next to each other today with the pin as a divider. Taking baby steps but gosh I love my furbabies.

I'm going to bunny proof my room tomorrow after school and she's going to be completely free roamd. I'm also trying to bond with her without pushing her too much and so far she's doing great.

    My sister adopted our bunny coco but for more than a year now she hasn’t been taking care of him. I felt bad so I started taking over and trying to learn how to take care of a bunny. I’ve recently been focusing on his food and cleaning his area but for months now he hasn’t left it. We’ve changed a lot of stuff in our house and moving furniture so that might’ve stressed him out but I’m not sure. We also have a small dog that my other sister co-parents with her bf and I thought that might have also stressed him (but he seems calm when approached by the dog). Not sure what to do and I’m worried it’s about the attention he’s getting. I try to spend time with him but I have a busy schedule and am not always home :( and he hasn’t been to the vet this year bc of covid and my sister being very “cheap” about it. I’d take him but again I have a busy schedule and have no idea who where and how to bring him to the vet. Not sure if my sister would like it either because technically it is her bunny

    Thank you for this so much! I have been having such a hard time free roaming my two bunnies. Mostly because of the lack of trust I have because they pull on my carpet flooring and I also don’t want then be hurt or to into wires but it also doesn’t help that my sister has a dog so it’s very difficult. But I have been bunny proofing my room for a while now and I’m slowly getting to a point where I’m comfortable with them being out while I’m gone.

    I love this! My bunny was a rehomed bunny and came in a cage. I let it be for a little bit but once I saw him kicking about and trying to run and hop I threw the cage out and my room because his room. It was so sad to think this animal (had a human not had him) would naturally have nothing but land as far as it could see to run and do whatever he wanted. Never put him in a cage or enclosure since. I love my little baby 🤗

    You can also cut a lemon in half and rub it on the edges of your wood furniture or other surface areas. It is a natural deterrent. You may have to repeat every once in awhile.

    For baseboards I used ivory soap and it worked for me!! Also, you can’t see it so that’s a plus.
    I personally have a 4x4 XPen for whenever I can’t supervise my bunny. I’m basically in “her room” all day when I’m home tho so she can be out most days all day. It has a big couch she loves to hop on with me and a tv so I don’t get bored or anything. It’s a very large room (it’s basically an extra living room but it has a whole floor). That’s what works for us and I also like that having her in the XPen at night makes it exciting every time she get to free roam in the room.

    • @gn8110
      @gn8110 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you have to reapply the soap periodically, or is it once and done? We haven't had much success with other options so far, still looking for the best solution for us.

    Hi @sincerelycinnabun
    This might be a dumb question, but with a free roaming rabbit (still doing my research), does Cinnabun have a dedicated place to sleep, or being free roaming, she just sleeps wherever her feet take her? I've seen her little box/cover...and maybe more videos will uncover this for me, but where does she sleep most often? Thanks!

    • @SincerelyCinnabun
      @SincerelyCinnabun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a dumb question! So Cinnabun specifically just prefers to flop... anywhere haha. But I do know some buns prefer beds, mats, hides, etc! She just loves to sprawl out wherever 😆

    I kept my bunnies in cages and i really really hated it but the thought of having them run around at night just riddled me with anxiety but i just went for it. I bunny proofed my livingroom, got them their litter boxes (i tested them out their cages when i went shopping and just out in general and they were fine!). I got so panicked the first night that i done it that i just ended up putting c&c grids around their litter boxes. I found out the next morning they broke out and roamed free all night and nothing was damaged (other than a foam board behind the couch but that doesn't matter) so i think that needed to happen to calm my nerves. There are still lots of poops everywhere though but I'm hoping that calms down as they get used to their new living situation !!!

    My bunnies know they are supposed to use their litter box but they won’t be spayed until July and in the meantime they keep pooping outside of it. Sometimes it seems accidental like when they jump in the air and other times there are spots they are just obsessed with. Is there anything I can before they’re spayed or is this just how it will be until then?

    so i’ve had my bunny so about a month now, she’s a year old and not spayed (her spay is in a few weeks) i’ve had her free roaming since the first day or so that i got her. her main hub is our bedroom (biggest room in our app) and living room under supervision/ while we are home. The past week she has discovered jumping on our bed for pets and snuggles ( which i Love) however.... if i stop petting her, for example to fall asleep lol, she will jump on my face and lick me everywhere and nudge me until i pet her again. even if i hide under the covers she will borrow until she finds my face. as cute as this is we have to get some sleep soo ive had to put her in her ex pen while we sleep 😭😭 any advise??? I hate having to put her in there but I’m hoping she maybe calms down when she is spayed and i could be like a mating urge!? help

    Just got my daughter a couple bunnies that were being neglected and stuck in a cage. Luckily the people knew it was not good and gave to a good home…that’s us.
    We have a chicken run and they cohabitate together pretty well. Only issue is the older momma that doesn’t seem to like human interaction as much has got out twice now. Unless someone has a better idea, we are going to dig along the fence line and bury some chicken wire 12” below ground level and backfill. Hopefully that keeps her inside.
    Other issue we have with them cohabiting is keeping the bunnies out of the chicken feed. This has been a bit of an issue that we haven’t solved yet.

    I've had my bunny for 2 years (since she was 7-8 weeks) she isn't potty trained but has been free roaming and stuff and my mom is sick of the poop everywhere, is it too late to potty train her? Also, the main room I wanna keep her in is carpeted fully, and she'll just chew up a piece of carpet from anywhere in the room not only corners and walls. Is there a way I can prevent this?

    I have 4 dogs, 4 cats, and a bunny. They all have free reign of the house, play together, and sleep together.
    This last Christmas though, my bunny Kiki chewed my lights on my Christmas trees, and I had to redo my lighting on my Christmas trees, and she’s chewing my baseboards everywhere in the house. I have an almost 3,000 sq ft home, is there anything you can suggest besides taping all of the baseboards in my home? I let her roam anywhere she wants to go, and don’t want to contain her to a specific area of my home if possible.

      If you still have this problem make sure you have toys for that rabbit because they gotta chew to keep their teeth filed down. Make sure to hide away any unused cords and cover any ones in use!
      Edit: If you give her some untreated wood toys she'll likely chew those instead of any wood in your home

    I have 3 females and I would love to free roam they are currently in a 3 story hutch with a 5 feet long x pen that they run around in. I’m struggling with potty training they all pea in the litter box but poop absolutely everywhere including the potty I vacuum it out everyday I keep it rly clean n leave the poop in the litter box but they still aren’t getting it they are all 4 months old so I am unable to spay them now but it’s also very expensive for 3 females. Please let me know about any vouchers for spaying bunny’s or about helping with the potty training❤️

    After my bun had finished her potty training and started free roaming, I found multiple things in our house was veing destroyed. So our solution was free roam during the day and just before I go to bed, she hoes into an excercise pen for the night and as soon as I wake up, she gets to free roam again.

    I would love to be able to free roam my (future) bunnies.... however, I plan to also have a variety of other animal companions, which could pose a challenge to that idea. My current view on the situation is for me to set aside a large room with a “baby gate” as well as a door (so the door can be open when I’m home for more of an interaction with the bunny/bunnies). Do you think that would be adequate, as long as the room is huge? Of course, it would also be full of things for the bunnies!
    Thanks for yet another pawsome video 😊

    • @sylver_fish
      @sylver_fish 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, I guess you don’t approve of that? I just saw a bit more of the video and heard you say something about not “locking your bunny away”.... What I meant by my comment was more so that I would leave the room mostly open-concept but just with a low wall or at least many windows throughout. I think the main pet of my design is for there to be access to a large outdoor space that will have a tall fence and a part of it covered so that the bunny/bunnies can have more space to explore. I don’t know if it’s okay or not at this point so it would be lovely to have cleared up ☺️

      Hi! As long as your bunny has company (from either you or another bunny) and the space to hop and run, then it’s totally fine! When I say closing a bunny off, I mean locking them away in a room by theme selves without any social interaction 💕 hope this helps!

    Hi everyone, I need some help.
    So I don’t live in the US and here I can’t find play pens ANYWHERE. And I found 1 but it’s 3 feet by 3 feet. My bunny is going to be free roaming, my other option is a cage that is 5 feet by 5 feet and I will keep the door open at all times . Btw the playpen doesn’t even have an entrance it’s all kind of fixed together. Help!

    Can you potty train a rabbit even if its un spayed/ un nutierd i want to ask because my friends rabbit is un spayed and she was using the litter box for a week then she just stopped using it. And he rabbit is fully free roamed she has one room all to her self. But i also want to learn more about rabbits so i can give more info to my friend so she atleast knows some tips about bunny care.

      some people say it’s possible but they might not be consistent with using the litter box, like sometimes they might just not use it even if they’re litter trained, that’s why it’s best to have them spayed/neutered

    My bunny rabbit is a really small netherland dwarf so I’m afraid she’ll be under furniture and I wont be able to find her. Also, my baby cousin lives with us and he once pulled my bunny’s ears! Also we have a play pen but my baby cousin moves it around cause play pens aren’t that stable. Another thing is that my baby cousin screams and sometimes bashes the cage of my bunny sometimes and I get afraid that my bun will get timid/scared. So I don’t know what to do, please help!

    Hey so I've had my rabbit for about a year now and I am afraid to free roam her due to the fact that I have a large dog, who enjoys hunting squirrels, and a small dog, who gets very exited (when my small dog and my rabbit met, my doggo chased her at the speed of light. Gave me a heart attack). Any tips on how I can deal with that? Side note: I let her roam my room for most of the day, but the rest of the home is off limits due to the dogs.

    My bunny is free roamed to our living room mostly but she ate a large hole in our couch so now I don’t trust her when I’m not there so I put her in her pen, it’s very large, half our living room but do you have any sugggestions ?? I really know I can’t trust her to free roam yet, after eating our couch ! My fiancé definitely wouldn’t trust her yet! I love when she’s running around but she ruins things when I give her too much freedom. Any advice is appreciated

    Can bunnies climb stairs? I have a few floors. Or else I may just have to stick to a floor. Also, I have two (small) dogs who like to endlessly lick small animals. I had a bunny before and when we introduced them, they just licked without stopping until we took the bunny away (the bun was soaked). They haven’t met yet (I know they won’t hurt him, but I can’t help but be really worried. The dogs have met our guinea pigs though and were extremely friendly towards them, licking, of course). Idrk how to deal with the dogs and how to make them leave the bunny alone. They probably won’t even sleep and will just keep licking the bunny.

    Yes, Free roaming is like a rabbit in the open world without letting them outside the house. Rabbits need a lot of space to run and be free around the house
