A very depressing clip to watch as history will be eventually lost. This is one of the best clips I have seen from you

It is depressing to see the State Hotel in Gwalia in such a bad way, every time I'm up there I get great pangs of sadness when I see the grand old lady in such a state of disrepair.

Yup, they are just allowing it to rot. That hotel should belong to the people of W.A. not some greedy mining company that doesn't care about its historic value.

This resembles anywhere in Australia that's away from the coast....... dusty, dead, insipid and depressing. The governments at every layer have no interest in building up these areas, despite encouraging endless immigration which invariably increases coastal city populations only.
Planting some big , highrise cities in the inland areas of every state would bring them back to life.
There's a drug and alcohol problem in all rural areas of Australia. Gosh, I just couldn't imagine why! What else do people do to stimulate their lives?

@@noelgibson5956 While I get your point, in this case Gwalia is effectively an open air museum. We find it endlessly fascinating.

Probably more people in Australia know about it than people in the USA.
