On some remotes you need to just take out the batteries and put them back in, then the remote will power on and u can choose between cool and heat, choose heat then you unlock both cool & heat modes
Thanks a lot. Taking out and putting back the remote batteries worked for me. My remote had heat mode icon, but was switching off. The battery trick worked for me. My AC brand is Electrolux.
You are just amazing bud! Helped me a lot after a couple of days of waiting and trying with the Chinese AC called Super Life. It is exactly the same as in your video (REMOTE).
Thank you! in my remote I guess it changes the setting just by removing and then reinstating the batteries, there is no switch, but every time I remove the batteries and put them back one the heat mode disappears or re-appears
This video didn't show how to solve my issue, but thanks to it I managed to solve it. I have a Daewoo DSB-F1281ELH-V air conditioner, that used to work on cool mode for the summer time. I turned it off about a month ago and today when I tried to turn it on heat mode it was missing it. I opened the remote batteries to check for the switches, but there were none. However, when I turned on the remote again it displayed the heat option and is now working. I don't know how and why it was missing and what's the whole point of having a switch for that. But anyways, thanks to this video I solved it.
How's that possible that AC on heat mode does cooling and not heats, I think you didn't changed the mode to heat mode, if your air conditioner has heat mode or reverse valve is present in it.
Thank you brother, it worked after 3 hours of trying

You need to wait for a few minutes (more than 10 sometimes) and the A/C will start blowing fully.
