    just an fyi for next time. perhaps it's not the best idea to have the leatherman promotional quote "i use mine every day" while ben is talking about lubrication. my family members were checking on me to see why i was on the floor laughing for 5 minutes. i am well aware i have the humour of a 16y/o.

    I love the inlay and innovative use of unexpected materials. Yes there are flaws in the first attempt, but that's how we learn.

    Did I miss something somewhere? In Ep 1, you had only glued/clamped the body wood together, the top wood together, and clamped the fretboard to the neck.

    I think if we've learned anything from the One Day Build series, it's that building a good guitar from scratch in one day isn't really possible, or advisable.

    • @alpeterson
      @alpeterson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think if we learned anything from the several multi hour build series it’s that Ben is capable of doing builds at a boutique level in less than 24 hours.

    • @peachmelba1000
      @peachmelba1000 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alpeterson I've built several electric guitars. None of them have taken more than about 15 hours of actual labor to complete, but none of them were done in a consecutive period.
      I think you took my comment the wrong way. Did I?

      @@peachmelba1000 I definitely get what you're saying as someone who builds guitars myself there's a huge difference between spending an hour a day for 24 days and building a guitar and spending 24 hours straight building a guitar in one day doing that much work for that much of an extended period you'll get tired you'll get complacent you'll allow for errors and flaws that you normally wouldn't your work will become more careless and the finished product just simply will not be as good as if you'd given yourself a break between working sessions I tend to build my projects in sections and pace it out so that each individual process can have my full undivided attention with no outside distractions and several breaks to plan the next phase and rest between phases I feel that breaking a guitar build down into as many small processes as possible and working to the best of your ability to perfect each process in its own time and space gives you the best end product you are capable of making
