I’m in my 50’s and still battle acne/flare-ups, and it’s hard finding info on aging & acne-prone skin, including make-up suggestions. Thanks so much for providing such a great service to your followers!

The way you rinse your hair makes such a difference i was suffering with terrible back/chest/shoulder acne and along the sides of my jar, i started flipping my head upside down and holding tbe shower head in my hand for more control, my acne cleared up in a week, and its been 8 years ans hasn't returned

I’m so glad you made this video Nadine ! I’ve always had very good skin but started breaking out in rashes all over my face randomly. I was very upset as expected and assumed I was allergic to my makeup. After much trial and error I realised it was linked to my diet and I cut out all refined sugars and process foods. The rashes cleared up and my skin is better than ever. Cannot stress the importance of diet and lifestyle enough !!!

Fantastic video. Nearly didn't watch as I didn't think it would be relevant to me but it was so interesting. Would love to see you both do the same for rosacea.

I was going to post exactly the same request, then I saw yours! PLEASE do a similar video for rosacea skin. All the dermatolgist videos say the same thing... medical grade products that just don’t work (And are actually irrelevant) to my form of rosacea, which is all about redness, damaged capillaries and, worst of all, really bad painful flushing that can last for hours. I have had no help at all for the three derms I’ve seen and am left ploughing my own furrow trying to find relief.

Thank you so much for this video! I have struggled with hormonal acne for over a decade and take sprinolactone but it doesn't keep the acne away completely. I'm going to implement some of these tips and keep my eye out for a few of those ingredients she mentioned. I loved the input from both of you on oils! I had jumped on the oil bandwagon a year or two ago but had realized a few months back that they were making my acne worse and I went off all oils. Thanks again!!!

Giving up dairy cleared up mine. The amount of hormone pumped in to dairy cows to keep them fertile so they can keep getting pregnant and therefore lactating, means milk drinkers consume vast amounts of hormone that plays havoc with our skin

Same with me, dairy makes my skin oily and congested. I totally gave up milk, cheese. I suggest anyone with acne try going dairy free for a month to see. Maybe the answer is simple and they won't need all those acids and treatments.

This was incredible interesting, thank you for bringing it to us. I myself am going through an acne battle, trying to clear my skin after 18 years of breakouts! I am making progress with a cleaner diet, however I've removed before and after pics from Instagram because companies kept contacting me to try and get me to say it was their product that helped when I've never even heard of it! So much bad information out there. I really believe the gut along with hygiene such as the pillowcases, phone etc really helps. Also take probiotics everyday and look to eat an alkaline not acidic diet.

Very helpful, thank you. I keep my acne in the mild category with nightly use of BHA and Benzoyl Peroxide. I havent been able to stop the breakouts completely though, and past use of retinoids was VERY irritating and ineffective in the 2-3 consecutive months I used it. I had to stop using BHA altogether because I could not tolerate a retinoid AND a BHA in my regime; this was a big mistake as I discovered that what kept my acne in the mild category, was my nightly use of BHA. When I stopped it to switch to a retinoid, the clogged pores and breakouts that ensued whas terrible. The only good thing I could see the retinoid doing was making all the pimples that developed come to a head faster, and helped fade some scars a bit, but it didnt stop me from getting clogged pores of getting pimples. I will definitively try a couple of these suggestions. Again, thank you so much for sharing.

Hi Nadine, I loved this video. I am keen to try mandelic acid and PHAs for my acne prone skin. I have not heard a great deal about them but I have used salicylic for years and although it has helped somewhat it doesn't quite cut the mustard. I wonder if neostrata has similar products to these she has mentioned? I find it difficult to navigate their products and I know from experience that I cannot use perfumed products on my skin it just causes more redness! :( xxx

Interesting video -- love going on field trips with Nadine and Pam was great:) I recently stumbled upon the Mother Dirt website and the founder proposes that just like our guts, our skin has a biome of both good and bad bacteria. She believes that acne sufferers do not have the acne-fighting bacteria that non-acne sufferers have. Also that we have become obsessed with over washing and using too many products, all of which upset the bacteria balance of our skin. Another good read -- Beyond Soap by Dr. Sandy Skotnicki. Food for thought:)
