I’m in my 50’s and still battle acne/flare-ups, and it’s hard finding info on aging & acne-prone skin, including make-up suggestions. Thanks so much for providing such a great service to your followers!
The way you rinse your hair makes such a difference i was suffering with terrible back/chest/shoulder acne and along the sides of my jar, i started flipping my head upside down and holding tbe shower head in my hand for more control, my acne cleared up in a week, and its been 8 years ans hasn't returned
I’m so glad you made this video Nadine ! I’ve always had very good skin but started breaking out in rashes all over my face randomly. I was very upset as expected and assumed I was allergic to my makeup. After much trial and error I realised it was linked to my diet and I cut out all refined sugars and process foods. The rashes cleared up and my skin is better than ever. Cannot stress the importance of diet and lifestyle enough !!!
Fantastic video. Nearly didn't watch as I didn't think it would be relevant to me but it was so interesting. Would love to see you both do the same for rosacea.
I was going to post exactly the same request, then I saw yours! PLEASE do a similar video for rosacea skin. All the dermatolgist videos say the same thing... medical grade products that just don’t work (And are actually irrelevant) to my form of rosacea, which is all about redness, damaged capillaries and, worst of all, really bad painful flushing that can last for hours. I have had no help at all for the three derms I’ve seen and am left ploughing my own furrow trying to find relief.
Thank you so much for sharing her wisdom with us! :) She should have protected the client’s clothes but other than that she’s brilliant at what she does. So knowledgeable! Thanks again, Nadine for creating this channel. As a young aesthetician I’m still learning and I think you never really stop learning at any age.
She mentioned probiotic at a high level, did she mention any particular products or a certain number of active cultures that she prefers? I had never thought about taking those before for acne, but it makes perfect sense when she says it! Thank you so much for the video! 😃
Absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED this video! As an aesthetician I found it so educational. Please please have more aestheticians like her on to cover different issues. Thank you for being so awesome, Nadine!
This was the most responsible and informative video I've seen on you tube in ages! Thank you for sharing truly knowledgeable skin care experts with us. This was great.
Thannnnnnk you! From someone who is allergic to salycilic and nothing but hives from retinols. Also, I now see this mess I am working through is perioral dermatitis. Many thanks to you both!
Thank you so much for this video! I have struggled with hormonal acne for over a decade and take sprinolactone but it doesn't keep the acne away completely. I'm going to implement some of these tips and keep my eye out for a few of those ingredients she mentioned. I loved the input from both of you on oils! I had jumped on the oil bandwagon a year or two ago but had realized a few months back that they were making my acne worse and I went off all oils. Thanks again!!!
It's like you read my mind. This video just covered all the questions I have that bloggers never talk about. How did I never think about my sheets, phone and gut health. Thank you! I can't wait to see if this helps me!
Not even roaccutane or antibiotics cleared mine but three Guinot Hydradermie facials that my dermatologist recommended and it was gone! I'd tried zinc, no dairy, more water than you can imagine, SLS free, non-comedogenic. They saved me
Giving up dairy cleared up mine. The amount of hormone pumped in to dairy cows to keep them fertile so they can keep getting pregnant and therefore lactating, means milk drinkers consume vast amounts of hormone that plays havoc with our skin
Same with me, dairy makes my skin oily and congested. I totally gave up milk, cheese. I suggest anyone with acne try going dairy free for a month to see. Maybe the answer is simple and they won't need all those acids and treatments.
I have been a milk drinker all my life. I started breaking out with cysts on my Tzone in my thirties after a lifetime of no acne. It took a while to figure it out, but after totally eliminating milk from my diet it has cleared up. If I cheat like clockwork I get a breakout. Totally surprised me.
Loved this, great content and advice! Please Please Please have Pam on again for other sin conditions. Would love to hear what she would recommend for rosacea.
Hi Nadine, excellent video and great advice. I have had acne for 20+ years. I use glycolic and retinoids as well as manage my diet and stress levels. I am keep to try the new acid. Thanks for the product link.
Interesting! Would love to see what she says about dry, Rosacea. I am suffering right now. Everything I put on my skin stings. I have tried lots of treatments and products. Great post.
This was incredible interesting, thank you for bringing it to us. I myself am going through an acne battle, trying to clear my skin after 18 years of breakouts! I am making progress with a cleaner diet, however I've removed before and after pics from Instagram because companies kept contacting me to try and get me to say it was their product that helped when I've never even heard of it! So much bad information out there. I really believe the gut along with hygiene such as the pillowcases, phone etc really helps. Also take probiotics everyday and look to eat an alkaline not acidic diet.
Amazing video. It is such a struggle to find expert advice on TH-cam but I feel your channel delivers that. Are there particular probiotics that Pamela recommends? Thank you.
Wow! This was fascinating and needs a couple of viewings. I don't have acneic skin but was still riveted. I would love to hear more on Mandelic Acid particularly in treating not just acne but also rosacea and PD and what products (other than Exuviance and The Ordinary) that you'd recommend.
I have a tablespoon of raw organic sauerkraut or kimchi daily, and take Udo’s Choice enzymes (2-3 per day before meals.) The best fermented veg brands I’ve found are Raw Living’s sauerkraut and Valdasz Pickles (their kimchi and sauerkraut are fab!)
SonR R I like OptiBac extra strength for every day and a little more expensive are the wonderful Renew Life ultimate flora critical care 50 billion. From memory Nadine uses a brand from Boots (larger branches), but you'd have to search back and watch an older video...
Very helpful, thank you. I keep my acne in the mild category with nightly use of BHA and Benzoyl Peroxide. I havent been able to stop the breakouts completely though, and past use of retinoids was VERY irritating and ineffective in the 2-3 consecutive months I used it. I had to stop using BHA altogether because I could not tolerate a retinoid AND a BHA in my regime; this was a big mistake as I discovered that what kept my acne in the mild category, was my nightly use of BHA. When I stopped it to switch to a retinoid, the clogged pores and breakouts that ensued whas terrible. The only good thing I could see the retinoid doing was making all the pimples that developed come to a head faster, and helped fade some scars a bit, but it didnt stop me from getting clogged pores of getting pimples. I will definitively try a couple of these suggestions. Again, thank you so much for sharing.
What percentage retinoids were you prescribed? im on the .025 and it helps. I couldn't tolerate anything higher than that. I guess I'm suggesting you can try again at a lower percentage
I think we should become our own best experts on our own skin. Take the advice from her, Caroline Hirons, dr Sam and see what works. I appreciate that she elaborated on the oil and said exactly what I believe in which is putting the serum beforehand. That’s exactly how I do it and what I advise customers. I put different kinds of serums on rotation at night and follow with Caudalie detox oil which is amazing! ☺️
Great video Nadine. I was just wondering, do you know what products from the Neostrata range would match the Exuviance Night Renewal Hydragel and the SkinRise Bionic Tonic? As I do not like using products that are scented. Thanks so much x
I also would love some product recommendations with the ingredients she mentioned, like Mandelic Acid and Polyhydroxy Acids, but that are not fragranced. I try to avoid fragranced skin care. If there were budget friendly options that would be even better!
Although thankfully i don't have acne. This video was full of great tips. The shampoo and conditioner makes sense. I do already clean phone..but maybe will do even more often now i have been known to use hand sanitizer and a tissue if not got wipes to hand 10x toilet seat..yuk!
Amazing vid. Has made me think to go back to using my basic Neo Strata regime. I still battle with oil production leading to blocked pores, get caught up with the gorgeous skin care and newness/ trying too many things! Can you recommend a body wash/ cleansing product to help keep body pores clearer!? Thanks again for amazing content and information xx
Nadine, you’re great! Just looking at the Exuberance range of skin care and a lot of it says it’s for oily skin. Well I have acne around my chin, but at 40, my skin is definitely not oily! Is it still worthwhile purchasing?xx
Hi Nadine, I loved this video. I am keen to try mandelic acid and PHAs for my acne prone skin. I have not heard a great deal about them but I have used salicylic for years and although it has helped somewhat it doesn't quite cut the mustard. I wonder if neostrata has similar products to these she has mentioned? I find it difficult to navigate their products and I know from experience that I cannot use perfumed products on my skin it just causes more redness! :( xxx
Great video Nadine, very helpful tips. Cutting out some foods completely helped clear my acne. The book The Clear Skin Diet, from Nina and Randa Nelson helped a lot. They also have a youtube channel, highly recomend to hear their story and see their before and after pictures. I now follow a plant based diet with some animal food taken occasionally and it works for me.
Very interesting vid. Inspired to take a look at the products, however I keep getting a "This page is not available" when clicking on the product links . Also, what's recommended for people like me who can't use down feather as I'm allergic - I wheeze and splutter and can't breathe if I come into contact with feathers? Many thanks :)
Hi nadine I love your videos, I’m currently having microdermabrasion facials and have two so far I’m getting bad breakouts about 1.5 weeks later is this normal? I’m not seeing results for the scarring just yet do you think this will improve? Appreciate your thoughts I have another 2 sessions to go
I don't use conditioner and I get acne on my back and chest. Has always been there, nothing seems to help. My facial acne cleared after I became an adult but the body acne stayed.
great content, completely agree! Just wondering why Pamela is not wearing white clean coat or something while giving treatment since shes talking so much about hygiene? My cosmetologist always wear a white coat over her clothes , looks professional, Ifeel safe and clean, ( I live outside UK though ,maybe you have different standards)
I find it hard to square the fact that she is advocating a skin care brand which has added fragrance in their products. Dermatologists would argue this should be avoided at all costs! Otherwise, very interesting and informative, thanks Nadine
Karen Hampson fragrance is a very broad category and not all fragrance is harmful. Sometimes a bit needs to be added to products with active ingredients as those ingredients usually have an unpleasant scent....
Got an AHA moment when they started talking about acne on the neck, but didn't understand the right way to clean it, does Nadine have another video showing how? Or maybe some other youtuber?
Interesting video -- love going on field trips with Nadine and Pam was great:) I recently stumbled upon the Mother Dirt website and the founder proposes that just like our guts, our skin has a biome of both good and bad bacteria. She believes that acne sufferers do not have the acne-fighting bacteria that non-acne sufferers have. Also that we have become obsessed with over washing and using too many products, all of which upset the bacteria balance of our skin. Another good read -- Beyond Soap by Dr. Sandy Skotnicki. Food for thought:)
Taking prescription HRT has given me cystic hormonal acne - antibiotics are the only way for me to clear my skin. I have tried to battle my acne myself but I have to take medication while taking HRT. Are these products cruelty free, please?
Hi nadine. I had dermaplaning done a couple of weeks ago and I’ve had a massive breakout. I never get acne but these are big under the skin sore spots. They are so bad looking I won’t leave the house. I’m continuing my normal skin care routine but I’ve had these over a week now and they just aren’t shifting. Have u ever heard of anyone getting bad breakouts after dermaplaning?? Thanks x
I had a break out along my jawline after dermaplaning, like you I never usually suffer from spots. They have disappeared but it has put me off having the treatment again.
I’m in my 50’s and still battle acne/flare-ups, and it’s hard finding info on aging & acne-prone skin, including make-up suggestions. Thanks so much for providing such a great service to your followers!

Hahaha I did the same thing!
THIS was needed and indeed SO helpful!!
Love this video! Could the two of you maybe do a video on how to treat acne scarring?
That would be amazing🤩Need some tips..Love your fantastic work✨

Oh Nadine , you are absolutely brilliant and an absolute pioneer, I am so so so happy I found your channel !!
Thannnnnnk you! From someone who is allergic to salycilic and nothing but hives from retinols. Also, I now see this mess I am working through is perioral dermatitis. Many thanks to you both!
Great information and great tips. Typically me, though, I was mesmerized with the cut and fabric of Pamela Marshall's dress.
As someone still struggling with hormonal acne that was so helpful!

So informative! My son is 15 and acne is at play. We are going to implement some of her advice and see how we get on - she made so my sense!
It's like you read my mind. This video just covered all the questions I have that bloggers never talk about. How did I never think about my sheets, phone and gut health. Thank you! I can't wait to see if this helps me!

Huge huge thank yous to Megan and Pam!!!
Hi Nadine does Pamela recommend any specific probiotic? I wouldn't know where to start
Id love to know this also
Wow !!! Such a great doctor! Thanks Nadine😍
I would love to know which probiotic Pamela would recommend, permanently or as a cure? Love your videos and your guests x
I don’t have acne , but found it interesting learning about the different acids and their functions .
One of the best videos yet!
One of the best videos ever love your sharing and educating thank you
Fabulous video! So, so informative. Thanks so much to you both. ❤️
This is GOLD. Thank you for sharing!
Interesting! Would love to see what she says about dry, Rosacea. I am suffering right now. Everything I put on my skin stings. I have tried lots of treatments and products. Great post.

Love this!! I would like your opinion on Sunday Riley and why people love her oils if they aren’t helping
Can you or anyone please mention which probiotics are best ? Would be a big help for me. Thank you 🙏🏻
Kefir.

Thanks, Nadine. That was interesting. I get the odd spot now and again. But I do remember having cystic acne. Not fun at all....
Interesting content. I would benefit much from it 15 years ago. But still very usefull. 👌
Pamela is wonderful so lovely also
That was super awesome. Thanks
Be careful with down pillows: they can be allergenic. I found that out the expensive way!
brazaq1 They're also inhumane :(
very very good advice
This was so helpful. Thank you

Thanks Nadine,Can you please make a video of how to manage an aging neck.
I feel bad about my neck❤️❤️❤️
Very interesting! Thanks!!!

Sunday Railey UFO oil and Clarins Lotus oil help keep my skin clear.
Thank you so much Nadine
Great video!
What would you recommend as a hydrating serum for acneic skin? I’m using the 2% salicylic gel from PC but need something hydrating
Great video Nadine, very helpful tips. Cutting out some foods completely helped clear my acne. The book The Clear Skin Diet, from Nina and Randa Nelson helped a lot. I'm here watching, worrying about acne while eating a bag of Oreos :)
Very helpful ☺
May i ask which product you have used from Neostrata to clear up your perioral dermatitis ?

Just wow!!!!!
Are these products available in the US?
I need in my life XD Where can I pop over in my city to get this done I wonder.
What is the difference between hormonal acne and acne ,

What a gorgeous lady. Prettier version of Darcy Bussell 💕
the p.acnes bacteria is anaerobic .... so.....it can't live on our beds phones etc right?
Hi nadine. I had dermaplaning done a couple of weeks ago and I’ve had a massive breakout. I never get acne but these are big under the skin sore spots. Marina Walsh I have had the issue with shaving my face, razor or even electric razor.
I had a break out along my jawline after dermaplaning, like you I never usually suffer from spots. They have disappeared but it has put me off having the treatment again.
Is she a dermatologist or an esthetician? I missed that.
just finished the video *starts wiping down telephone, computer mouse, tv remote etc. with disinfectant*
