Congrats beating 7C! I will say, this is the first (and hopefully only) chapter in the game to cause me ACTUAL, PHYSICAL PAIN (my fingers were hurting doing an hour or two STRAIGHT of attempts on the last room one night). Beating all the C-Sides as preparation for Farewell probably only helped a little for me, but dear God, this probably took the longest after 3C and 5C I think. Speaking of Farewell, I'm stuck on this one room with a slow-moving block and a crap ton of spikes. What fun.
Thank you kindly~! Youch, that's narsty. I was feeling something similar by the time I got to the end of Farewell, meself. Two hours _straight_ of these inputs, though? That'd mess anyone's fingers up! Especially if you were playing on a PlayStation controller; their d-pads are always so sharp. 3C and 5C were among the ones I struggled with the most, so I'm with you there! Oh, I think I know the one! Is it one where there's a pink crystal at the start, the block has spikes on the top and you're meant to be gathering all the blue key things? That one sure took me a bit. Best of luck in completing it, anyhow!!
@@AdmiralAdorableNah, it ain't that. I think I'm past it, but I could be wrong. The room has one of those blocks that starts moving when you grab it (spikes on the top and left sides), and there's a spring halfway through. I think you have to time wallbounces on the block iirc
Imagine if they moved the heart away at the very end as you dove for it, forcing you to restart the final screen. I distinctly remember the final screen of this. By this point in the game, I’d mastered the wall jump and found the first screens quite easy. But the last one is probably the meanest precision check in the game, in my opinion. Still not bad, but still mean lol Furthermore, yeah. That’s what I meant when I said this really felt final. To me it felt more than a “congrats! You beat one of the hardest things in the game!” or generic victory message. It felt like something you really earned on both a skill level and an emotional level. A challenge that shows you how much you’re capable of, and a reminder to keep going with your newfound limits. Perfect way to end the game, imo.
I cannot lie, my paranoid self thought something like that would happen, hence the lightning discussion. I still wasn't quite at your wall jump level, then! I struggled a decent bit with screen 1. Mm, interesting proposal. I wasn't sure I agreed, but I also can't think of many that were tougher off the top of my head. Maybe some of the rhythm stuff in Farewell where you had to wavedash through just as a block was about to appear? But you're right, it's pretty up there. It's all making sense now! I get wanting to have that be the final word--it is a brilliant way to sort of "cap off" the game's messages and themes, that recognition of distance travelled with acknowledgement of more to come. Pretty schweet schtuff.
@@AdmiralAdorable And if it did happen, I have a feeling they’d add Granny laughing at you. You didn’t really seem to struggle with it too much from my perspective. Seemed like a pretty reasonable amount of time spent on it. The rhythm stuff maybe, but I felt the key to that was more so the timing and moving to the beat rather than precision. The screens for those portions of Farewell weren’t as long as the final screen on this either, and I consider that one of the main factors about what makes the screen mean. Indeed. Shame it couldn’t really be “the end” but it’s also a nice note to end that I assume is the penultimate episode of the playthrough. I definitely know it was nice reading that all again when watching it.

@KC_Garcia Ohhhhh right, I think I know the one you mean! Come to think of it, basically every room with the arrow blocks was rough!
