People wanted to give his ex crap for divorcing him, but she was right to do it; he's a big baby that wastes every opportunity to improve himself, and never learns his lesson. It's a bad idea to try to build a life with someone like that.
@@citizenvulpes4562 Well how about the people who shows support you don't disregard it and insult them?!?! The other is lie so much that he can no longer be trusted... It also doesn't help that he knows his flaws, says he will work on them, but shows consistently and repeatedly that he doesn't want to improve.
All he had to do was be friendly on camera and make videos about video gaming news and he would be printing money. He was given a golden opportunity by having a large subscription base from early TH-cam and he shat it all away. What a dumbass.
He's a covert narcassist, just always the victim, nothing is ever his fault and he can't be expected to change. Seeing how he behaved with is Boogie "persona" on TH-cam vs how he conducted himself on Twitch just goes to show it was all an act. He's said as much as well.
Fred Rogers was an amazing person. I know this is only tangentially about him but I just want to mention it. There's not a lot of people who are like him, especially in the public eye. A genuinely kind soul.
Update for interested parties: Boogie responded to this video within literally three hours of its publication with a video of its own talking about how sad the video made him because he's a fuckup and he screwed up everything in his life. Then he goes on to upvote all of the comments from his most diehard followers telling him people are rooting for him. It's the exact same response he made to SunnyV2's video. He'll never change.
dude reminds me of those complete embodiment of draining friends, who just thrive on being the most "damaged and broken" person in the room. Dude thrives on toxicity and negativity. it's really sad.
It's funny because people who are actually broken or going through absolute hell, hate showing it. I'm currently in recovery, but through my addiction and suicide attempts, all I did was make people laugh and desperately tried to never acknowledge my life. If you brag about being "broken", you're not.
@@HomoLegalMedic Yeah for real. I hate it when people see how screwed up my life is because I don't want people to hear that all the time. I'd rather just chill and keep the good times going with most people. I hate talking about my problems. Admittedly it's not the best personality trait in the world though, sometimes you need to talk to somebody about certain stuff. But people who talk all the time about how "damaged" they are, I just want to tune out and I'll usually listen to anyone even if they're BS'ing.
I remember one time in college, a friend of mine was processing the anniversary of the death of her father by suicide, and the partner of another friend piped in about how sad she was recently when her dog died in the most tone death attempt to one up her by implying her more recent trauma was on par, or perhaps held more weight.
This sums it up best. I used to watch boogie years ago and did like is content, but after his weight loss surgery and divorce from his wife things just kept getting darker and it was exhausting. I honestly didn't even know how dark it truly got until after watching this video.
now we just wait for Boogie to reply to this video in text or video acknowledging and understanding every point you've made, saying he's on a path of improvement, and then double down on his failings.
God this comment is so accurate. He does this ALL the time. Boogie hates anyone who makes videos like this and thinks that everything in these videos is wrong. It's crazy how delusional he is.
Wow who hurt you? Did you know my parents molested me? I don't have much time to respond to you but here is my possibly now dead dog as a shield from any more criticism, love ya! Although seriously he doesn't even use the sammy shield anymore, he's probably gone
I'm reminded of that one line from BoJack Horseman. "You can't keep doing this! You can't keep doing shitty things and then feel bad about yourself like that makes it okay! You need to be BETTER!"
BoJack had to get to an extremely low point in life (MULTIPLE times) and have various influences in his life to explain to him that he needed to do the work to make himself better. He had to realize his mother was a POS, but also a victim of her own abuse situation and that it just got passed on to him. He nearly died in the process and was only saved by luck. Realizing what you need to do doesn't mean you're capable of doing it. Especially when the rest of the world tells you it's all on you. BoJack would have greatly benefited from therapy much earlier on and someone telling him that bad things just plain happen and it fucks people up and fucked up people fuck up others. And to remedy that, sometimes you have to painfully pry out the glass shattered through no fault of your own from your body. And it's painful, agonizing, terrifying and it's something your entire being will scream to plead and beg you to stop, but you can't stop. You have to get it out or it will cause bigger problems. Fear, that's what stops people from becoming better. And fear is more powerful than people give it credit for. It regulates our behavior, it keeps us safe just as much as it messes up our lives.
@@vixxcelacea2778I suffer from depression, so I can relate to Boogie somewhat, but I don't even share my troubles with family or friends, let alone the whole world through the web. I feel embarrassed to talk about it, and it's kind of provocative how Boogie gets to use his mental health issues as excuses and complain on the internet, while having enough money to pay for several private therapists that I guess costs $200 an hour. Meanwhile, I have to wait six months in a public health care queue only to get declined help because I'm not a danger to society. If I could afford to pay for a private psychologist, it would help me a lot. Then Boogie goes to TH-cam and begs for money after losing his crypto value, while still having his toys worth thousands of dollars in the background. I had to sell my guitar I got from my late grandpa in order to pay for rent because my mental health issues made it hard to get work. Not trying to make myself look like a victim, it's just that I feel Boogie complains when he actually has it pretty nice.
Ironically it kinda makes me think he's a neutral entity of chaos and destruction. Kinda like a tornado, or a Jaguar. You don't want to deal with it, but it's not evil, just uncaring
Keem has been around for a very long time, he really is just like omnipresent in the TH-cam sphere, especially when there's controversy to be found. sometimes, yes, he's just inserting himself into it, but sometimes he just is naturally involved.
Boogie allegedly getting rich from crypto completely by accident, and then getting too greedy and essentially gambling it all away is like that episode of Futurama where Zoidberg gets filthy rich at a casino and then immediately loses it all
I'm somehow not surprised that Boogie was dumb enough to invest in crypto. Nor am I surprised he lost money on it. That's literally the only outcome for anyone investing in crypto.
I used to sympathise with Boogie, hell I even rooted for the dude. I wanted him to succeed. Now I roll my eyes any time he speaks. He is the most insufferable type of person.
Same here. When he got his surgery I thought that was a tipping point in his life and that he'd start turning it around. Little did I expect him to tank hard and become such a prick. Part of me still feels bad, he's clearly mentally ill but no one can save him.
I'm only sympathetic towards the Frank Hassle situation up until the gun. It's evident Boogie had mental problems. Yet Frank harassed him constantly calling him a p***y and bullying him just to prove a point. That's not grounds to shoot the guy but in my opinion Frank took it over the top. Just leave boogie alone and move on ffs
Well what the hell did you expect. No one taught him how to self-improve. How could he self improve if no one ever told him what "Self-improvement" means or how to do it?
I just hate it when people use trauma as an excuse to be bad people. I have trauma, specifically from my own mother, and I use that as a reason to treat people with respect. Why the hell would I want to treat people like garbage when I know how bad it feels? So when I see people like Boogie use trauma as a shield from criticism when they act like pricks, it frustrates me. Yes, trauma effects people greatly, but it will never be a valid excuse to be a garbage human being.
In psychology there is this rule of thirds. One third becomes the same, one third is unaffected and the other one does the opposite. Basically, not everyone handles traumatic events the same on not every person develops a healthy resilience over time. I don't want to defend Boogie, just wanted to point out how different it can be.
I think people are now tired of hearing "trauma" as an excuse. I'm starting to hear people say "Yeah, but you're an adult now, and you have to do something about yourself" whenever people try to use trauma as a reasoning for their actions.
@@luckyducky7819 I know I am. Who doesn’t carry “trauma”? It’s just part of the human condition to experience things antithetical to our worldview. The victim/oppression Olympics are played out and I personally want to see people that have achieved real successes, whether it be in their careers, a hobby, a natural talent. Anyone can be a victim, that is not a talent and we have to stop accepting other people’s crosses to bare as our own. My back is full, as is everyone else’s.
@@luckyducky7819problem is our society hasn’t found a way to get treatment to people or address the issues. what treatments there are are expensive and often not covered by insurance. so the trauma spreads.

That poor girl has the tired and malnourished look of a young woman who was raised by trailer trash junky parents. I am sure she probably does have trauma from her childhood, which is all the more reason she should stay away from Boogie - a clear abuser and predator of women. He is the last person who should be 'guiding' anyone, even aside from the disturbing grooming aspect of the whole thing.
Gotta admit, it's incredible that Boogie could revolutionise in the mining industry considering the depths that he's managed to dig himself into, with his only equipment being his words and his inaction
Before the mask fully slipped, he used to pretend to be Francis on Twitter when going on rants. I suppose using Francis as a shield is less pathetic than him using "mental breakdowns" or "dissociating" as excuses.
people like boogie and wings make me think about a quote kyle said about cartman: "they always think it's somebody else's fault. we all wrongly see ourselves as the victim sometimes but they see themselves as the victim all the time. they'll always find someone to blame for their shortcomings, and because of that, they'll never change".
"I made a couple bad trades at the advice from a friend" "I talked to someone in the fbi" "A friend advised me to do this" Always someone else's fault. Never his.
Boogie knows what he's doing and understands the consequences, thats why I find him more insufferable than most lolcows. He's a narcissist and a grifter.
As much as DSP is hated, he seems unaware of how he comes across. There is no hope that Phil will ever change his ways. Boogie knows, he completely understands what he does wrong and he uses that to his advantage to come across as self-aware and planting that seed of hope that he will change.
Mike's very honest answer about his chances on changing was the most brutal thing anyone has ever said about Boogie. The fact that he was sympathetic before meeting him but very quickly realized how terrible he is after meeting him just cuts HARD. He's not trolling, he WAS a fan before actually meeting him.
There was about a minute there were i was trying to wrap my brain around the science of how he managed to have sex in the first place. Like I'm sure at this point he hasn't seen his penis since he was like 12, I just assume the fat kinda consumed it. I'm sure there is some kinda contraption that allows him to have sex, but I'm going to be having nightmares tonight when this thought flashes in my head at 3am.
So what you're saying is, in a way, boogie is so popular still he is spawning entire TH-cam channels like this one? I think the punks that do nothing but trash people online should find ANOTHER TH-cam who isn't as popular as they once were and trash then. That seems to be the pattern. Let's be mean! It's FUN.
@@hopefullynotbutprobably6643 Absolutely he was a plant. I mean, look how calm Boogie was during that clip. I don't think anyone except Boogie has claimed that he beat his ex-wife. Boogie purposely claimed that people accused him of this even though people were implying his abuse was emotional and mental.
My jaw dropped like a fuckin anchor seeing Boogie has 105.9K tweets. Putting how pathetic that is aside, how can someone even come up with enough to say to achieve that in the first place?
Every time I tried to have a Twitter it just messed with my anxiety. I don't try to get worked up over stupid stuff on the internet, and usually don't, but my God. So much negativity in one place is draining.
Way back in the day there wasn't DMs, and character limit was half of what it is now. I racked up a lot of Tweets just from replying to people a tonne. BUT, I was a teenager in 2012, and still only hit 13k Tweets on my 2011 account. Boogie Tweets so much because he has genuinely nothing going on in his life. When you have no work, no social life, and no outdoor pursuits, it's easy to sit online all day and spam the most pointless shit imaginable.
I figured out Boogie wasn't the front he put up when he was on Baited and really showed his true colors. The worst thing is that there isn't particularly anything wrong with his "true colors", he's just an old netizen and has old netizen humor and temperament. Its the fact he goes to such lengths to put on the mask of the super nice guy peacekeeper that makes it a problem.
I lost over 100 lbs. in the past 5 years because Boogie introduced me to keto (old videos from 2012-ish). Makes me sad to see the state of his life currently.
The worst thing about this guy is his "fake honesty." He goes through the motions of being completely transparent without actually being transparent. I think anyone who saw his old p0rn site saw the real boogie--everyone else is seeing what he puts on for people.
Before he got big on TH-cam, he used to code websites with a few of them being personal pron blogs where he shared pics and acted like a weird asshole. You can find more about it on the mega thread from 2019 with some highlighted quotes involved, including him whining about 9/11 making traffic on his site slow while also nudging his then audience into giving money to a membership under the guise that it would be donated to a good cause
He only does that to get these type of comments, only for him to say he's a new man with his totally-not-a-replacement-for-his-ex "girlfriend" He's already building up an onlyfans for her too, so get ready for him to get even cringier
Except it's not. Anything he says is just parroting what users online have called him. I'm pretty sure he lacks the ability to genuinely and sincerely self-reflect.
no he seems to be aware of why he sucks a lot of the time, he just doesnt care enough to do anything about it. he thinks its enough to be self-aware. like most recently with the crypto scam situation he was pulling this shit a lot. its honestly worse than if he were just completely delusional and not self aware, he knows what hes doing is wrong and that hes a shitty person and he keeps doing it
I’ve had A LOT of friends like Boogie. I decided years ago that while I am a friend and I am here to support you to almost any extent, I will NOT do more for you than you are doing for yourself. If it becomes habitual that you always NEED someone else to help you from yourself and you are not learning from these situations, then I have to cut you off for my own sanity. No one owes you that. You owe yourself that. We all need friends, help and advice sometimes. But when you can’t ever ever ever help yourself… it’s time to grow up.
Dont ever feel bad about leaving someone even if youve got 20 yrs together.. having these negative people around you will only hurt you more then it is to suck it up and loose a few contacts in your phone.. when was the last time this friend txtd ya and asked how your doing? And not ask for you to do something for em.. when you realize these people only use and abuse people for their own personal gain and when you free yourself from these kind of people, your then ready to have real friends...
Friendship is a two-way street. That doesn't mean that everything should be "this for that", cause that would be a business deal. What it does mean though is that if you're always giving and they're always taking, it's time to cut ties.
@@emusunlimited that’s is exactly what I’m saying. I’m always happy to help, I didn’t say they needed to do anything for me. I said I won’t continuously do more for them then they are doing for them. I didn’t say anything about doing anything back for me.
Never been into these professional personalities, but I was aware of Boogie, albeit from a distance, and my impression was always that he was a wholesome guy fighting his way uphill against his mental health. It's sad to think that guy doesn't actually exist
I think that’s exactly who he is. His friends in the video said as much. He’s “just a guy. Good and bad.” That’s all of us. And he very clearly has some significant mental and emotional issues to overcome. I think he’s always been a decent guy fighting a losing fight. And for a short bit while he was gaining YT fame and money, he was able to support his self esteem on that artificial construct, which helped him put his best foot forward. But you can’t hide the amount of baggage he has forever. And he couldn’t. But people can’t handle complexity and grey areas like humans. They need black or white. So Boogie was always Good, until he was Bad. No in between. No nuance. I don’t blame his viewers for leaving. But I think it’s sad folks see him as a guy who used to be 100% awesome and now see him as 100% bad. I hope he finds peace.
@@shaun374for clarity: I think what now seems to be missing isn't the mental health difficulties, but rather the sense of uphill progress in his struggle with them. It seems more like he's going round in circles and not making as much progress as I thought. Like you say, I hope he finds peace

No no she should have either stuck with his annoying ass or not married him at all. We need to hold a higher standard for marriage than the boomers did...the standards they gave us around marriage are so low...with the effort put into vetting our partners being no exception. People need to at least _treat_ marriage as if it's a forever obligation, but instead everyone relies so much on divorce being an option that nobody takes the vetting process nearly as serious as they used to in the past. We are lucky to live in a time where divorce is an option in our lives, but with that comes a responsibility to hold each other to a high standard as far as respecting marriage itself goes. .....you know if I could point to one thing that would make all the difference here, it would be if people put more effort into identifying the friends and family members who really have their back and will also give them the honest truth no matter what, and then rely more on those people's opinions regarding the character and virtues of any marriage prospects.....because today nobody really does this, and if they do there is never any of the thought behind it that I described above. Its all such a mess normally...

The part about his current girlfriend left me with a disturbing feeling. The “good” way that relationship started is that he’s continuing to waste his money on sugaring. But it feels much darker than that. She’s clearly much younger than him, and let’s face it, Boogie is not someone people would normally date, or stay in a relationship with. Him saying they met and bonded over their trauma made me uncomfortable. Given his narcissistic and manipulative nature, it honestly seems to me like he met someone that was vulnerable and working through her issues, and then used those issues to make her “fall” for him.
as someone with experience being that girlfriend to another messed up (older) dude, I hope she's able to get out if anything manipulative starts happening and doesn't start trusting his "years of experience" or anything like that
He manipulated her into it 100%. Not only because he's obviously undesirable for anyone with eyes and a working brain, but because she's an already traumatized teen at this point and predators always make it a point to pick and manipulate inexperienced and traumatized people because they're the easiest to prey on. I've been a teen with CPTSD looking for an older man as a "guide", I know exactly how that shit works and he's disgusting.
Boogie is almost 50 years old. I know a lot of people are more hopeful, saying "people can change" over the years, but from what I've seen in life, it's incredibly rare for someone to change their personality and outlook on life after the age of 30. The problem with trying to change who you are when you are 50 is: the person already spent 30 years living their life in that mindset. It's so hard to stop doing something you've done for 30 years. At that point, it's like breaking a 30-year addiction. It is super rare for someone to change after that, but it is possible. I just doubt it from him due to how many times he tried to change. He has shown us time and time again that he's not ready to change.
Yeah, it's important to bump up your reflection and self awareness and stop BSing yourself early on. Otherwise it may take a potentially life-ending reality check to get you to sluggishly begin that process of change. Many don't, some do. I mean, people change all the time and every day in small ways at least, but some people loop rather than cycle forward. I always say "the moment you stop growing is the moment you start dying." Growth being mental/emotional/spiritual growth, not just physical.
Even at 30 i'd say you could still change, because at that point you only had 12 years of adulthood spent so far, that's less than half of your childhood, but by 40? You're probably forever stuck in your ways at that point.
I think within the next decade he'll have a major health crisis that will force him to change. Cause if he is bed ridden in a group home I don't think he is going to be able to get away with all this nonsense.
Seeing this guy's downfall is absolutely fascinating. He proves that therapy is not the be all end all for your problems if you don't actually want to change yourself for the better. He proves that making your money situation super public without trying to be responsible on a shaky base can only lead to ruin. He proves that you really do need to avoid the Crypto market for investments unless you have way more of a stable financial footing that can allow you to handle major crash stages better. Most of all, he proves just how much of a manipulator one can be when given the platform to do so.
he can never change, because pretending to change and subsequent attention is his drug. only way for this to work would be a life without cameras and internet
Therapy? That’s bad logic. Had he actually ENGAGED and COMMITTED to therapy, he’d see improvement. That takes time. It’s not a cure, it’s an outlet that takes years for improvement. It’s not a quick fix
@@TonyDanza4Lyfe Which is exactly what I was saying. If you aren't willing to put in the time and effort needed to make the most of therapy, it's a complete waste. It's not a quick and easy solution. You gotta be willing to take the time to improve and listen, not just play victim the whole time. Unfortunately, Boogie has chosen the victim complex.
To be fair it's hard to get a gaggle of psychos like that off your back because they're even more mental and have no functional life to tend to. That dude showing up at his house to threaten him was over the line, if he did that to someone else he would've been shot in 50% of cases, and it would've been deserved in 100% of cases.
Boogie explaining his relationship with that 20 yr old girl as "he can teach her things" and that "he can guide her" fills my head with so many red flags, I hope she realizes that she needs to get away from him. Edit: Some of the mfs in the replies... 😬😬😬
@Plsrateeight never say that again. my gf is 25 and im 34. thats almost 10 years. boogie is ~52 years old shes 20. 32 years. thats almost as long as ive been ALIVE. its subjective but youre outting yourself as a weirdo.
@@incarnateflame3462 I should add it's not only the age gap, it's the reasoning Its not cause "I lover her" It's cause "I can guide her" Textbook manipulator behavior
It's already weird to have an age gap that big - I'm 20 right now and I couldn't fathom it for myself, but regardless, the way he's talking about it is really what sets off alarm bells. When it's adults, it's not always as simple as “age gap bad”, but we can't pretend they are totally irrelevant, either. My parents are 7 years apart and met when my dad was late 20s and my mom was early 20s. This was some 30 years ago. When they recount their adolescence and young adulthoods to me, that 7 years was already enough time to change a lot of their core experiences and memories, and they acknowledge that.
The video when he was at his mums mausoleum and he said his fans love her because she gave birth to him is the most narcissistic thing I've ever heard...
Right? I'm surprised I didn't see that in here. That shit was grosser than literally any shock site I've ever seen. Literally just watched a fat guy sweat and jerk himself off all over his mother's grave.
He gets an SSDI check every month, but he'll never make that public or he'd lose what little bit of sympathy that people still have for him. Class A manipulative behavior. He's not broke and he won't lose his house, he just wants people to think that. He literally said he's disabled according to the US gov and state of Arkansas. SSDI is much more income than SSI and probably 5x more than a 9-5 40hr work week check.
Boogie lives in Rock Bottom (Population: 1) and he’s never leaving. It has been very profitable for him to be a whiny loser online for many, many years. He won’t change. Ever.
@@icannon6611 So true. You thought begging for money and being broke would be his rock bottom? Then he gets demolished by Wings in a boxing match without throwing a single punch. Then he starts dating that very young chick. Then more details emerge about that and it's hella weird. Then the documentary drops. Then he does a financial audit. Then you figure out why exactly he went broke and realise he's been lying the whole time. Then he makes dozens of promises about new and improved content and never follows through. It's a bottomless pit at this point.
Boogie isn't so much "falling" as he's gently sinking into obscurity. Like a helium filled party balloon caught in the rafters of a warehouse stuck in amongst the dust and cobwebs, a faded reminder of better times annoyingly out of reach and just as easily forgotten.
Boogie reminds me a lot of a friend I had in highschool; we met in aerobics when I was a senior and she was a freshman. Literally the first conversation I had with her she rolled up her sleeves to show me her self harm scars, after which she told me her life story and all the awful things she'd been through; how her dad was always away in the military (can't remember which branch), how her mom was an alcoholic that didn't care about her, and how her older brother beat the tar out of her every day. Obviously I was shocked and scared for her, and I told her multiple times to tell the police/CPS, but she always brushed me off and said it was fine. The tipping point was the day she came in with a huge bruise under her shirt, which she showed me before class. She then told me her brother caused it by pushing her down the stairs, and that when she got home, she was going to end her life via alcohol poisoning. She made me promise not to tell. Despite this, I went to the gym teacher after class and told her everything, breaking down crying during the conversation. Ultimately she took my written statement and then contacted the principal, who in turn contacted the police. I didn't see my friend for a few days, but when she got back, she lit into me, screaming that I almost ruined her life and how I'm a lying piece of sh*t for not keeping my promise. She told me that her story about the stairs was "just a joke" and continued to berate me, leading to me leaving class early because I was so upset. Shockingly, we stayed friends after this, mostly because I was pretty naive back then and thought it was my responsibility to save her. I guess what I'm getting at is that sometimes people who are deeply traumatized never move past the stage of acknowledgement, and I think Boogie fits that description pretty well. He's so hooked on the attention, both negative and positive, that he can't imagine moving past his issues and living a normal life, even at the cost of his long-term relationships and happiness. I hope he escapes this rut someday, and stops dragging so many people down with him.
Honestly I think I know someone who goes through this now, and to have the mask ripped off amidst everything that happened has me pondering, even if, as a witness, there were definitely things that weren't their fault, it was an eye-opening look at how dark someone's depths can be.
If you stick around in therapy, you're getting taught to recognise when you're the villain and that you need more than trauma to define you. I think he doctor-shops to not have to deal with that because it feels unpleasant, and you can only make it through if you really are serious about wanting better things for yourself. Your sentiment of him climbing out of this rut are nothing short of noble, but they are wasted on him. Boogie is addicted to the darkness of his past and failings. Boogie used to be likeable, but it turns out that he's not a nice person, I mean he was even laughing and mocking someone's death, I can't remember who it was but he was just laughing about it and mocking it in an interview and being like "Haha she's dead" like wtf you don't do that, it's cruel.
It's weird to me that people have taken so long to finally catch on. I knew something was off with him the first time I saw him flipping a table as Francis. MrBeast is another one who gives me super creepy vibes.
Regardless of how you feel about boogie, imagine having to watch a 2hr documentary on all of your failures. I’d consider myself mentally healthy, but dang that would do a number on me.
Being this socially frail and weak to any form of criticism is not something to be proud of. It's just a weak attempt at making the creator seem like they're wielding great power when it isn't so.
Everything about Boogie's new relationship is waving massive red flags and makes me concerned for his girlfriend. They bonded because she opened up about her trauma and realized they were super compatible and 'shouldn't ignore that.' I highly doubt the gf said that, it sounds more like something a man in his 40s would say to a teenager who was dealing with trauma. The fact that he moved her in gives me isolation vibes. The fact that he keeps talking about how he 'can teach her things' or how 'he knows what she needs to do' are extremally concerning. Shit doesn't look healthy. I hope she has some solid support that's keeping in touch.

absolutely. there's a certain type of person, and before internet stardom you'd also see this in reality TV, where they finally get attention and it just permanently warps their brain and they just keep chasing the attention. like they want to be seen even more than they want to be successful so they end up becoming infamous through their own actions

Not OP, but I am also schizophrenic. Honestly day to day is just sitting around and sleeping, doing hobbies etc. The medication can be very strong, and in my case makes me unable to stay awake for more then 4-5 hours consistently, so I can't work. But outside that, it's the same, ya know? I put my pants on one leg of a time like everyone else. I am lucky though, I know people have worse reactions to medication and it doesn't repress all their symptoms, but for a lot like me, there is no crazy hallucinations everyday or anything. Take the medication, do therapy, cope using your healthy coping methods, and you'll be fine, like a lot of mental illness.

I have quite a lot of anger toward people that use depression as a crutch, because I'm pretty sure someone I knew ended their selves. I've seen real stuff. These over-sheltered soy puffs need to chill on the crutch clutching.
That is one thing that’s really, really ugly to me as someone who’s attempted suicide. I fucking hate it. My ex did it every time we had a fight or I didn’t text him back quick enough and it was just repulsive. We did not last long. I also just don’t get it. I never told anyone I wanted to die because I knew that when I finally went for it I didn’t want anyone to suspect it and try and stop me. I’m not saying people who post online about being suicidal aren’t “really” suicidal, I’m sure they are, but they’re indirectly asking for love and attention and concern. If you need love and attention there are ways to ask for that without making someone feel like it’s life or death. It’s so manipulative and so reprehensible.
that's pretty basic suicidal ideation whether or not it's intentional - as far as openly expressing it, and then cycling in regret for doing so. I get accused of weaponizing it when just trying to warn friend's it's bad again. Of course it's different when you're broadcasting it to a platform, but also how would a suicidal person resist the allure of potential validation and a flood of support when they express their ideation. Just because a person cannot complete the act doesn't mean the ideation is disingenuous or unreal, but you can always acknowledge the damage it causes others, provided the right context. I just hate when cases like this are used to alienate others who are perceived as doing such because they're explicit about their feelings of ideation.
He's not that bad. As far as I can tell Boogie's not done anything like what CWC did to his mom, but then again, he's a TH-camr with lots of kids that admire him, so you know... Anyway, I think he just got really full of himself, something made evident by the reckless gambling addiction he sucked himself into. He thought he was invincible. Pride cometh before the fall.
anyone who uses bastards like him to discredit anyone under any circumstance, not just abuse, are already people who wouldn't have been any help anyway.
Man. It’s tough because Boogie hasn’t done anything really unforgivable. I was also abused pretty badly as a kid and I have the same useless self-flagellation instinct and extreme passiveness, and wanting to be better but failing a lot of the time. When I was a kid, Boogie was someone I really looked up to, and now I’m scared of becoming like him-self-obsessed, addicted to suffering, and unable to get myself out of the pit. Being abused as a kid does fuck up your brain, but you have to keep trying to unfuck it if you want to live. I don’t think Boogie is trying anymore. It sucks to see. I don’t ever want to get to that place.
The best thing you can do is to avoid that past as a defining atribute to your own existence. While i haven't endured that kind of treatment I do have a friend who had in the past, who also suffers mental disorder (hereditary). Long story short it took me six years to help her out almost daily and from a broken train wreck who was prompt to take her own life (mostly because her family didn't want to help her at all, even worse, told her to pray to [insert imaginary friend] instead of "wasting" money in specialists) to a woman with a pension and her own life to drive. Her past started to meant shit when she opened herself to the posibility of makin her own life from scratch, so maybe that can work for you too. I am not even close to be an expert, and every person is an universe, but that's the best I can tell ya as of now. Hope you get into a new path where you can wash aside the thoughts of that time in your life.
Nothing is more devasting and evil than childhood abuse. I hope you learn to live a life of forgiveness for yourself, not others. Striving to live every moment, participate in every interaction with forgiveness in your heart. Much love.
Yeah. I don't really like how many people act like they're at all involved with the guy either, or endlessly trying to spin any and all suffering people like this endure into being self-imposed. People pretending their advice is useful when it's the exact same hollow words on a screen that he talks to himself with. It just reeks of just-world fallacy business. The average person isn't equipped to deal with proper bad mental health cases, they aren't. So they shouldn't pretend to be and act like they understand what's going on to pass judgment and move on. It's all so shallow. It's 90% drama hungry hyenas. Especially the people making videos like this. One of boogie's major issues is that being so public is never going to help, and people's reaction is just to keep following him around. They're doing it because it makes them feel better about themselves in the end. That's all it is. Hate how self-important people in this comment section are.
"When I was a kid, Boogie was someone I really looked up to, and now I’m scared of becoming like him-self-obsessed, addicted to suffering, and unable to get myself out of the pit." - There's several internet personalities I feel the same about. I was rooting for people like boogie to get their life on track, lose weight, get their dream career as a youtuber and so on. They're inspiring. You want to see them succeed so bad. But over the years, you see them utterly fail and you realize it's their own fault. They had plenty of chances to course-correct, but they wouldn't. It's so disheartening.
I think the amount of self awareness you show in your writing makes your chances a lot lower. I have never seen the same clarity from mr Boogie himself
I think Boogie's legacy is an example of how not to be. I realize my past uncommittable tendencies were self-destructive, but seeing it happen on a grander scale such as Boogie is quite the lesson to learn.
I was a part of that sam & tolki subreddit, and they became extremely toxic and bordered on obsessed. It doesnt take away from how awful Boogie is and all the awful things he has done, but that sub did no favors to themselves. A lot of the users needed to log off and touch grass.
Yeah, the Frank Hassle BS wasn't okay, and while I think Boogie ought to have just called the police and shown all the clear evidence of harassment, Boogie also just goes about everything in the worst way possible so of course he pulls a gun to protect his masculinity or whatever.

The first time I discovered Tom's video about "the fall of boogie", I was a bit shocked but after watching the video it made sense to me. He is a deeply disturbed man who needs real help. But the fact that even in 2023 he is still in the TH-cam news cycle sums up how I feel about this guy nowadays: exhausted. He is an exhausting individual. No matter how many times people try to help the guy, he spits in their face or retreats back into his old ways. I genuinely don't know how people continue to watch him make a fool of himself. I watched this video as a background for a grind I was doing in Final Fantasy 14, and even I am exhausted again after watching it. The only way to truly help this man at this point is to institutionalize him. And as someone who was in a mental ward for a week myself, I am confident in saying that. This guy needs a LONG time away from the internet. A long time. I wanted Boogie to get better so badly, but I genuinely do not care what happens to him anymore. He has been given every fucking opportunity to get better and has squandered it. I really wish he would just get off the internet.
You see, that's the thing I don't understand about the internet - It's so easy to get away from it all. It's not hard to fork over 100 bucks for a decent pair of hiking boots and find a local trail. I'm not saying this will work for everyone, but I am saying that it's worked wonders for me and it's one of the simplest things you can enjoy.

Hearing him say he’s stopped his meds and then immediately mispronounce psilocybin- really all I can do is hang my head in secondhand shame for what he’s become.
I think the core problem with Boogie is actually really obvious. I think he's a guy who was always starved for positive attention, and all the positive reactions to him from 15-10 years ago pretty much warped his brain to the point where I do genuinely believe that he would literally set piles of cash on fire just so people would pay attention to him, and he also preferably always wants to be the good guy and the victim in any situation despite the fact that it makes him incredibly inconsistent and therefore a "fake person" who will say whatever he thinks is convenient at the moment regardless of how it might backfire with even a slight bit of foresight.

Boogie would make a great case study for how harmful a social media addiction can be. It's a shame that it's seemingly his sole source of income. It's like asking a 46 year old alcoholic, with virtually no marketable skills outside of drinking alcohol, to sample beer for a living and expecting them to stay on the wagon. I don't think he will ever find happiness until he deletes his socials and cultivates a support network of real people that actually care about him.

@@lordfreerealestate8302 Yes, hold other accountable for their actions. "You are your brain, you can't blame things on your brain like your Homer Simpson and it's doing its own thing..." It is doing its own thing. That's legitimately what mental illness is. You have irrational and (generally) negative reactions to specific stimulus. You have no control over it. A nice example is avoidant personality disorder. To make it simple it's that you automatically believe everyone hates you and that you'll always fail at anything you attempt to do. You can set up a thing where you will absolutely succeed, you can fully prepare for it, you can have all objective/empirical evidence that you can do it, but your brain just can't put that all together and then you'll either not even attempt the thing anyway or you'll have a panic attack while you're trying it and then end up actually failing and so reenforcing the illness. It's not something you do though, it's not something you can stop yourself doing, it's just faulty neurons.
As much as Boogie is very much responsible for a lot of what's happened, its always very weird to me that theres seldom any criticism towards those who deliberately make these tnings worse.

Yeah, some people like to call me Nostradamus, it's no big deal.

This is a great take. ✨🫡

Given his narcissistic and manipulative nature, it honestly seems to me like he met someone that was vulnerable and working through her issues, and then used those issues to make her “fall” for him.
as someone with experience being that girlfriend to another messed up (older) dude, I hope she's able to get out if anything manipulative starts happening and doesn't start trusting his "years of experience" or anything like that
Yup. He's a predator, plain and simple. She's too young to grasp just how toxic and imbalanced DDLG relationships truly are.
He manipulated her into it 100%. Not only because he's obviously undesirable for anyone with eyes and a working brain, but because she's an already traumatized teen at this point and predators always make it a point to pick and manipulate inexperienced and traumatized people because they're the easiest to prey on.

He's reaching 50 huh, doubt he'll reach 60
The psychedelic therapy is the best decision he's made so far. Coupled with DBT therapy, I think he can do it.

I should add it's not only the age gap, it's the reasoning
Its not cause "I lover her"
It's cause "I can guide her"
Textbook manipulator behavior
bro can't even teach and guide himself. What does he possibly think he has of value to offer someone who could do so much better?
I truly hope that he eventually finds his way. For some people it takes a true rock bottom before changing, I just hope it doesn’t come too late.
Every time it seems he hit rock bottom, he somehow hits another. It just keeps going
I’m right with you. I’m always rooting for the guy.

He thrives off of well-wishes and pity, he's gotten comfortable like that and is very much beyond salvation.

This guy fell off just by exposing who he really was, amazing.
Boy, can't wait for this to be a trilogy.

My theory is, when people like Boogie get attention due to negative things like insecurities, obesity, etc, the "negative" can become a sort of pseudo-positive. So they lose track of actual positives, staying in negatives.
I think he thrives on the negative attention because it feeds his victim complex. That's all there is to it.

What is living with schizophrenia like?

I had an ex do this to me.
I got tired of it and just told them to do it.
They won't, it's attention seeking.

People pretending their advice is useful when it's the exact same hollow words on a screen that he talks to himself with. It just reeks of just-world fallacy business. It's all so shallow. It's 90% drama hungry hyenas. Especially the people making videos like this. One of boogie's major issues is that being so public is never going to help, and people's reaction is just to keep following him around. The first time I discovered Tom's video about "the fall of boogie", I was a bit shocked but after watching the video it made sense to me. He is a deeply disturbed man who needs real help.

"You are your brain, you can't blame things on your brain like your Homer Simpson and it's doing its own thing..."
It is doing its own thing.

It was clear as day that he wasn't popular on his own merits; he was only famous because of his obesity making him a symbol for other people who looked like him, as well as playing the stereotypical character of the jolly fatty man while simultaneously feeding people sob stories. It all smelled rotten from the beginning, and being proven right after so long doesn't bring me any satisfaction.
The "I have a friend in the FBI" has the same energy as "My dad works at Nintendo".
this man is exhausting i have no idea how his fans put up with him.. wow
The fact that he lost all of his money is an exact reflection of how he lives his life. He finally got to a place where he can move on and grow as a person but he had to just push it and lost all of his money and put himself back in that spiral. He can’t help but self sabotage
I'm not sorry for him. When he had that money, he chose to rub it in everyone's faces instead of show any gratitude for being financially stable.
That's how addiction works. You have to lose everything to understand what you had.
@@WobblesandBean Boogie rubs women in people's faces as well as some kind of "gotcha". It's pretty messed up when you think about it as these women are actual human beings, not props or trophies to wave around. He's so misogynistic without realising it. He is not a humble person
@@SeethinStevenhes "mIsOGyNisTic"
and also xenophobic, racist, hates children and loves hitler
😂😂
He's the TH-camr who had it all. He could have been up there with Mr Beast. He had everything infront of him, folks like me followed him simply cause he was (at the time), just an all round nice guy, the kind of guy you would have a chat with over the fence when mowing the lawn. Used to follow boogie regularly. Now I don't, and it's just sad what happened.
He was always this person which is the scary part. We only know a fraction of what he got up to behind the scenes, but it's crazy stuff
Could have been a true Mr. Feast, rip
What if I told you Mr Beast is the same
All of this has made me realize how much I actually love WingsOfRedemption
We needed a new exposé on Boogie1488. Thank you Joon.
