Can I get rid of the 12v plug and re-wire it to the battery instead? Bcoz I need that outlet for other accessories while on an off-road trip.

Yes you can hardwire it

Why not just POP the rear panel and hard wire to the 12V outlet wiring? Also, the wiring for that outlet is small.

That is totally an option. We showed it this way, as it is the easiest and this system is meant to be bolt-on with no cutting or wiring required.

Got any sound clips from the 2.7l inside the cab?

We did not get 2.7 cabin clips unfortunately. It was a customers Bronco and were short on time.
