I've enjoyed my tours of the Kirtland temple (and Nauvoo) given by the Community of Christ over the years, thank you!

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, living in Holladay, UT, and just finished enjoying our General Conference, so I looked up Kirtland Temple virtual tours and found this. I have thoroughly enjoyed your narrative and the visuals, but mostly I enjoyed learning how your church has so lovingly cared for the Temple. Rest assured that our Church will take care of this sacred building for everyone to enjoy into the future. Thanks, again for your knowledgeable commentary.

Went on a Church History tour more than 10 years ago. To be in the room where Jehovah, Elijah, Elias (Noah/Gabrie), and Moses spoke with Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery was a special spiritual experience never to be forgotten. I reside in Scotland

Spoke with a groundsman in early July of 2020. Steve told me how special this place is. Couldn't show the inside from everything closed for covid but there was a tremendous SPIRIT about the place.
    The Lord was right here!
There are not many exact places on earth about which that can be said:
" The veil was taken from our minds, and the eyes of our understanding were opened.
We saw the Lord standing upon the breastwork of the pulpit, before us; and under His feet was a paved work of pure gold, in color like amber.
His eyes were as a flame of fire; the hair of His head was white like the pure snow; His countenance shone above the brightness of the sun; and His voice was as the sound of the rushing of great waters, even the voice of Jehovah, saying:
I am the first and the last; I am He who liveth, I am He who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father."
    !!!

I also felt this so strongly. We loved our visit in October 2021.

This Temple is special. To have withstand the test of times and still be standing . The first Temple of restoration to serve ALL people. GOD has kept his eye on this holy place and saved it to serve all generations. 😉💖🙏

I toured this temple in 1967. Back then even the flower beds on the grounds looked pathetic. The CoC has done a marvelous job of restoration.

I don't differentiate between the Churches. The Kirtland Temple is the only one that matters to me. I was Muslim before and was always saddened that the Muslims split. It was sad that the Church did the same thing.

Any chance the Temple will reopen this summer. I’ll be there the end of August?

I'll be stopping in Kirtland on my way to Toronto, God willing. Too bad the temple will be closed. I just have to stand on the temple grounds though.
