Thank you George for another informative and exciting video! It is very nice that you share the history of the towns you visit. I've learned things about small town America that I never would have known if it weren't for you! Add to that all that I learn about the antiques and their copies, and it is worth every minute I spend here. Thank you again for teaching me, and everyone else, so very much!
I can't see it perfectly but there is a white vase sort of tulip shaped (I am probably using the wrong word to describe it) with what might be some adornments of some type on it, that would be my guess as to the one truly "old" piece in the booth you quizzed us on. Now to go look at he answer... WOW I was right, you called it a "white trumpet vase with the figurines". See I do listen when you teach us!!
Absolutely love the red 60's vanity case. I had one in the 60's thought I was the bee's knee's. Bought in London on holiday with parents going to the ideal homes exhibition. Great memories 😁

@16:16 When you shared with us about a revival, what kind of furniture had you said? Thanks! As always, love your content, especially watching you thrift!! ❤️❤️
My pick for which thing in your "leave a comment about which piece is closest to being an antique in this display" is the trumpet shaped vase (lower left, kind of swirly glaze?) with maybe a couple swans or something at the base? THAT looks vintage, at least...unless it is a repro....then there is the crockery with the blue stripes on the neutral clay base, I can't really tell what's up with that, though!
15:40 Utility table--I have one, no idea where it came from. The top I think is porcelain. Can you tell me anything about them? Where do they came from, what are they for? Thank you.
i loved it when you socked the foam head in the jaw , take that ! you aviator wannabe lol . more fun times in Kentucky. good video lots very informative.
It looks like it, but up close it turned out to be a revival piece. The answer was the white trumpet vase in ceramic on second to bottom shelf, 1930s era
Hi George! Those wood planes were nice. I have one of my grandfather's. I have an ashtray from the QE2, along with an unstruck matchbox and poker chips. That Versailles painting would've been really nice, if it didn't have that damage. How do people use the grinding wheels? I like them, but wouldn't know what to do with one of them. Do people actually use them for their intended use? I really like the idea of combining old furniture with new, in a furniture store. Wonder which area people gravitate toward... I liked that McNicol highchair baby bowl. Lots of interesting items in both places. Thanks for the take-along!!!
Hi there! A handful of collectors are woodsmiths who also use them, a lot of them just are shelf sitters though. The QE2 stuff sounds really neat! My neighbor across from me has grinding wheels from our town's old grist mill along their house as decoration, I think it's mainly for that purpose (although I've seen them repurposed into tables). I thought it was very smart of them to put the old furniture sets in with the new, it's so hard to find new traditional styled furniture that it makes sense to have both! The high-chair bowl was perhaps the most interesting object to me because of it's utility

😂 Everything is cute, and sometimes adorable, to me. Someone brought it to my attention, but I can't seem to stop. It's probably because I gravitate to cute and kitschy.
