Pro tip: if you’re stuck behind someone that isn’t letting you by, pit in. 9 times out of 10 if you take a stroll down pit in you come out with clearer track.
Actually genius
Also genius, don't brake 3/4 mile before the turn allowing for an easy pass on the brakes..could go either way 🤷♂️
@@jecsah not good advice for someone learning braking. "Just brake later" is something that new track riders don't have the feel for yet. Tuck is working on entry speed, and the best way to do that is early, but light braking.
Glad to see more names pushing for track days. I myself need to get gear and a dedicated bike and go myself. Good stuff as always Tuck 🙏
Get out here :)
legend has it this guy can drag knee
Don’t worry about the liter bikes on the straight. Concentrate on good body position and hitting every apex. If you don’t get noticed ask for a follow lap with a coach and you’ll get bumped up
10:45 is too funny. I can feel the frustration 😭😭
love watching your vids
Love u
@@tucrr 🫶🏻
fuck i’m getting an cbr
LETS GOOOO!
Track Vids are the BEST!
Good stuff. I can understand the frustration. Work on the braking zones. Less engine braking and more on the lever. You’ll be passing dudes like this easy in no tome. Get a rhythm going for how you brake before tip in. I actually count things out like a tempo while I’m running a lap. And pick physical markers To begin braking at. As you progress on the lever you can choose new markers that are closer to the apex. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Maybe try some online racing games, it’s a great way to develop racecraft and understanding you need to setup passes, not let off create a huge gap and repeat the cycle. Corner exits, corner exits and corners exits man.
Loved the track video man :)
I have my 3rd track school event in September with Ridesmart at COTA.
I'll be in the novice class again. The team at Ridesmart places "X's" on the entry and exit points for every turn. It really helps.
I am so thankful to live in europe after this xD
Passing in every group and groups are getting sorted on the fly cause everyone is forced to have a transponder on the bike
Same Thumbnail as MeddesUncut :) Love it!
Amazing video how much was the session? Would u take ur white bike next time?
Not sure what your track setup looks like on the bike, but theres an r6 guy who made a really good video on setting up his bike for track and how he improved his times in the corners etc. Had a brembo rc19 brake lever setup and went up a few teeth in the rear for better corner acceleration. Would be cool to see a breakdown on the bike and all you plan on doing with it :D
rule of thumb you want to be red lining in 6th by the end of the longest straight and then you can adjust from there
@@nowaysam6349 yeah i know its a new bike for him but i figured this would be a good way to help with braking a bit later and being able to kinda dive into those corners with more confidence and have better accel out of the corners since most straights u might not even hit top speed yk
heck yes. i was just putting it out there help any one they seen my post . all i know is i wish we were all out there chasing the sun sure looked awesome af . hope you get to go out tonight im stuck at work :-(
1:33 Mans was locked tf in 😆
Sweet lines🔥
Dont give up bro never give up ok??❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
how are you finding the slick and warmers vs the road tyres, more grip and confidence for yourself along with no fear of dropping your baby (the rs600)?
They felt good, just new bike so I was still feeling weird on it, next track day I’ll be feeling better for sure.
you can gain a sec right off the bat on slicks but the bike will totally flex around on you way differently . warmers are awesome too no slipn and sliding on the warm up lap and the first real lap . you can just get after it
Dude we arent even allowed cameras on our trackdays i wanna film so bad
Tuck gets uncomfy when he gets passed 😂
But somebody that rides like a maniac yes lol
I have never been on the track, what would be a good piece of advice for first timers?
Take your time, slowly add speed, and get an instructor to follow you
How did the 190 feel as apposed to a 180? More corner confidence?
hes not fast enough to even tell
Every time I see an opportunity for you to pass he reminds me that he’s on a 1k
Good video!! However can you please try to brake and blip down at the same time, it’s damn triggering to see you releasing the front brake everytime you wanna blip down a gear😅😅😅
Hahahah I’m working on it, the other bike had auto blip so I just gotta get used to doing it myself
@@tucrr Fair enough as long as you’re improving, love it!!!!!
Definitely work on not coasting. Plenty of chances to easily pass if you kept on the gas and braked later + trailing. Braking loads the front, increases grip and stability entering corners at higher speeds. When you coast you unload the front tire and thats when crashes happen or your front feels floaty, especially when you start picking up pace.
Minimize coasting and neutral throttle, either be on the gas or on the brakes. Even if youre mid corner, slightly rolling on the gas will get you tenths, and over the course of a lap thats time dropped.
Keep having fun.
I’ll try those tipsout thank you bro
@@tucrr those are things we all gotta work on, keep closing that gap bit by bit. But def do it progressively so you don't bite off more than you can chew. Contrary to popular opinion, crashing doesn't mean you're learning. It's just what people who crash often like to say to console themselves or justify things. Just bringing it up because you'll hear it all the time around the paddock lol
Do you mind me asking what track this is
Homestead in miami
Not me being the biggest fan of tuck in my friend group
Was this from the 4/21 track day?
Yes
did you have a talk with yellow shirt? Seems like hes aware you're not novice
Is the CBR your track bike?
Yes
Man. I am early.
A motogp bike can literally destroy a 1000CC street bike
You just gotta get more confident passing under braking, you make people uncomfy when you just keep hesitating over and over, that’s how miscommunication happens and you run into each other. Don’t worry about being an “asshole” it’s better to just do the damn thing and put a wheel on the inside.
Why did you buy cbr600 after selling one?
Great track bike
i dont hate no one,im roaming around a mountain pass with sharp turns, on my underbone, challenge anyone .🤣🤘
Ill put my R1 on that Honda any day! 💯
Do you think if I spray paint my Panigale it will go faster 😂😂
Yes
mans overlapping everyone
what a thumbnail clone 😭😭
fix your habit of braking-blip-brake-blip-brake. this won't translate as you go faster and start using the real braking reference points. this only works now because you're braking so so early from the correct brake points and practically coasting to turn-in..
Yeah that’s something i definitely have to work on, haven’t had to practice it as my other bike has auto blip, I’ll get there☝️
@@tucrr you can practice with the bike on the stands in your garage.. no need for the bike to be running
what year is the cbr?
08
You really couldn't pass that dude? Is this Novice level?
Can’t pass anywhere except straights, his bike has 70 more hp than mine
LOL......just buy a liter bike already. They'll kick your a$$ every time....
I clicked on this video expecting you to be the asshole however, while in novice i feel it is completely fine to be slow, you gotta have some spatial awareness to recognize someone's been stuck behind you every lap but cant pass cause you have more power.
Yeah, it’s novice so I wasn’t actually mad at all, just a funny experience seeing him take off down the straights
Why all the hate? I own a 600cc and a 1000cc. Every rider worth his salt has a pocket 600 to keep his skills up to par... and a 1000cc to be really naughty when the rider chooses to... muhahahaha!
No hate at all just jokes :)
Makes him feel like a track hero. They just love getting on the litre bike hate train to make them selves feel like they’re something special. Who gives a fk what anyone riding if that’s what they want to ride. Not everyone is out to be a hero on the track
Sir tucker, when can i have the honor to be on the same track as you🥲
One day bby🫶
