    Couple things. It is not a vibratory cleaner. The cleaning is accomplished by the transducers introducing sound waves into the solution which in turn creates microscopic cavitation bubbles. A good tank will dimple dent and tear holes in aluminum foil. Stick a sheet top to bottom for a minute to test how well it works. Simple Green is ok, I would suggest a solution designed for ultrasonic cleaning. Distilled water is great for rinsing, not necessary for cleaning. Once you add soap and dirty parts the distilled water is no more. As long as the tank doesn’t run dry and you keep it under 180f it won’t hurt the unit past an hour. It is also helpful to run the tank empty (no parts) for 10 minutes or so with the cleaning solution in it to drive off any undissolved gases, the song produce better cavitation and better cleaning.

      This thing is AWESOME for cleaning carbs! It's slow to get hot though. Best thing to do is preheat your water before you pour it in the tank. Other than that it's great.

    The slighw lower temperature is probably due to the ultrasonic function also generating heat. So the heating element will stay a little below to prevent overhearing which could lead to problems.

    You can't clean the whole bank. You have to split it to get everything clean. Dirt will collect at places where You don't want it to go - inside, in all those small openings and jets. Also the T-tube fuel inlet between the carbs have O-rings that more often than not, will start to leak after a ultrasonic treatment.
    But, this was a great video. Great explanation on how the machine works. I've been thinking of buying a 20 L cleaner from Vevor myself, in stead of the small 4 L I have now. After seeing this, I think I'm going to buy it! Thanks! 👍

    • @CycleFab
      @CycleFab  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I came to the same conclusion as far as "breaking the bank". With all the intricacies of a four bank system full disassembly is a must if you want to get it right the first time. Glad you liked the video! And thanks for watching.

    • @CycleFab

      The one thing that I don't like about this machine, and others like it. Is that it takes 2.5 hours to get up to temp from room temp water of 74 deg F. So, I either turn my machine on first thing in the morning if I know that I'm going to be using it that day, or heat up a big pot of water on the stove and just add it to the solution to speed up the heating process.
