Been watching all your vids and really think ya top bloke with a ton of brilliant helpful none pushy advie carnt wait get my t7 extreme in jan and hope to see you on the trails 😉
Nice bit of kit that Mike, low center of gravity, seems to stick nice and tight to the bike and I agree with what you said about it being 1 piece and not jumping around separately on the trail , I've seen the enduristan ones and they don't half jump about on the trails . I just need a nice big adventure bike now to go with the bag 😂. Another great vid mate 👍
@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 yes I've got the kriega os system on that which I'm chuffed with , just contemplating getting rid of my 1290 sas for something I can use on some mild offroad
I love this!!! You're just casually pointing out bits of kit as if it's just stuff you happen to have at the moment, but you've clearly done a lot of research and used your experience to carefully select every peice of gear. I'm new to moto camping but planning some trips this year so keep pausing the video learn about your setup and to see which bits I 'need'. I already have a small tent similar to your Helium but wondering how it'll work with all the moto gear (helmet, boots, jacket etc.). I guess you've found a good balance with the vestibule on the Xenon? Also wondering how your sleeping bag is soo small, does the insulated matt allow you to use a smaller bag? Which one?
Another thing I like about a big bag is you can put some kit in it overnight such as jacket and trousers. You can also carry a large dry bag to put gear in overnight, but as you said, a large vestibule not only gives you somewhere dry to cook but keep your gear. I normally have my helmet in my tent so I can charge my Sena intercom, boots in the porch. My summer sleeping bag (one in the vlog) is a Marmot Micron 50, don't think it available anymore and my winter one is a Rab Mythic 400, which packs down to a similar size as the one in the vlog. I also do a bit of mountaineering so tend to buy the lightest possible gear as I have to carry it on my back, but that obviously means it helps keep my pack size smaller on the bike as well. I use this website a lot, not always to buy, but certainly to help research what is available and what is the lightest bit of kit I can afford - I am a bit obsessed with going ultra light, comes from being in the army and a mountain leader, but not at the expense of comfort. This website has great sorting and filtering options but love that the default sort is by weight; ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk
Watched most of your videos Mike. Love Mikes top tips! I bought the Vango Galaxy 300 for a Lake District trip and glad I did, me and my mate had beers in comfort in the porch when it was chucking it down and same for breakfast in the morning 👍For the bag do you have to load whilst it is on the bike? Just thinking if it is raining could be a pain, at least with my kriega gear you can load it in the tent and strap wet tent on the back at the end
When we did the coast to coast in rained most mornings and therefore it was a bit of a pain packing, but it doesn't take long, it's a fair compromise for a bit of load stability. Love my Galaxy 300, I use it a lot for car camping as well, done a couple of events recently where ive put the bike in my van and driven there. Any fool can rough it! 🧐🤣🤣
A nice bit of kit Mike, been a big Kreiga fanboy myself for a while. I did have the Giant Loop bag but didn't use it and sold it before even trying it. May have to consider a change 🤔
Glad i ve seen this. Sold ! Fuelling might be a pain 690

Hi Mike, nice common sense setup. 👏 Always enjoy your videos. Thankyou.

Could you not stick a bag on your 690?
