The Sierra Saddlebags are tried and true. The Hurricane, just has a few more user suggested upgrades, features and benefits.
Great review just like you I ordered these bags for not having to put liners in and the price compared to others was a win win + I like semi rigged design. 👍 They also have the 10L little roll top to add to top of bags Im getting next to put tools in one and my cooking crap in the other . I have to agree, the Nelson-Rigg gear is some of the best waterproof value priced adv gear out there.
You can easily strap their 10L roll bags on top of the panniers, if you need more storage. I currently have 2 5L crash bar bags, 2 10L roll bag's and a the 40L duffel. I have aluminum SW Motech panniers, and considering a set of the Hurricane panniers.

Agreed, these are excellent bags. You can really cinch them tight to your racks so they work well off road. Durable, lightweight, waterproof and they look great.

Its a great deal for the cost,,,,the only improvement I would want is for the bags to be white inside to reflect light and make it easier to find stuff

I am running the Tusk racks, I was talking to the folks at Nelson Rigg and they are coming out with their own plates that will work with any rack.

Tusk panniers mounting plate is A$700 in Australia, holy 💩, I made my own for a few dollars for my Himalayan.

Are those the Tusk Pannier racks as well? Rmatv has a kit with racks and hurricane panniers but looks like you have to buy the soft luggage quick release things separately. Is that what you did?

I went with the Tusk racks, not only are they affordable you can get the quick release plates that the panniers attached to or you can mount them directly to the panniers.

I have ordered the SW Motech Pro sidecarrier. They seem ok in size 😊
Maybe their adapterplate will fit the bags ?
