I always love your videos and we were in Budapest last Christmas and it is the most beautiful city I have ever seen. Looks like you have a new camera, the 4K HD seems even sharper than before.
love your videos. I always seem to get the need for a beverage after I watch one :) I love Budapest, I did an Ama cruise from there twice and loved it. I have missed the ruin bars both times, so thanks for this specific one to shoot for next time
Your video is spot on! some extra info from a local: For the fisherman bastion you only need tonpay in summer and even than after 7o clock is free. In the Margaret Island there is a little zoo and a japanies garden.
Hi there, I will be in Budapest in October but I booked an Airbnb in Buda side since the Pest side was very expensive. May I please ask you to tell me what is the best way to get to pest side I have been told the Airbnb is very close to Kossuth square. Thank you so much for your time
@@pennyh2993 yes, it is depends on your location in Buda, as it is big. But if the Kossuth square is colse I think the metro line 2 will be close it is a good option. Or the tram 4/6 it is also a good option. I suggest prefer metro and trams over buses. But Budapest has a good transportation system. Just buy an unlimeted pass and you havent have a problem with mobility.
@@Iusuallydontcommentbut...Thank you so very much for your speedy reply. Where can I buy the unlimited pass? At the airport or I can buy it online. TIA
First time for us to Budapest and we are here right now. This city is such a surprise and its architecture is amazing. I can imagine what the walk from Fisherman's Bastion/Buda Castle to the History Museum will be like once all of that construction is done. It was still stunning even with all those buildings being renovated. I must also say Budapest is a surprise "foodie" destination (all types) similar to Eding. I'm noth. Not sure why I only put two full days in Bu,dapest but we leave tomorrow and I missed about half of the things you two highlighted on this video. Oh well, inspiration for next time - ha.
Thanks for this video (informative like always, I am travelling there in the next week after a month split between Georgia and Albania (with a short stay in north Macedonia) so this will come in handy indeed. Speaking of North Macedonia... You definitely should check out ohrid! (cooler, less humid summer time temps, a great old town to wander around, lake front promenade to stroll, and reasonably priced with my airB&B owner saying if I came back my 1 bedroom with kitchen and balcony (newly renovated) can be had for 300 euro for a month. I have been travelling off and on for 3 years and ohrid is in my top 5. P. S. Georgia is STUNNING!
for anyone who wonders why the "Blue Danube" isn't blue but brown. The danube has a lot of tributaries (other rivers that feed the danube) and after rain a lot of mud gets washed into the danbue. That effect can last for even days after a rainfall. I assume it has been raining somewhere up the river before.
Brian, I noticed Carrie shook her head when you said how romantic you are. So I would recommend stepping up your game…flowers, chocolate, cooking delicious meals to enjoy with pink champagne and don’t forget the flowers. Oh…lots of compliments on her shoes is the clincher. 🤣👩❤️👨👫
Was there for a week in may! Husband & i did alot of walking. Walking everywhere! We stayed at pest near st stephen basilica. Pain but worth it & save alot of $$. Best part of the trip was our our 3am walk to heroes square. We took lots of photos and theres literally no one compared to during the day. If any of you wants to take beautiful photos, do it at night. Provided its open to public! Hope to return there again in the future. Theres more places i would love to visit. Anyways, love your video content! Will save for my next visit back to budapest! ❤️
Having been to Budapest, I am disappointed that you did not find a way to go to a thermal bath. As you said there are cheaper options. So maybe skip the beers (Brian)? 😮 and spend your Forints on the more valuable experience? Also, of note, peeps need to validate their tram tickets. I say this from the personal experience of having forgotten to and getting fined by the ever present tram police. 👮♀️ An interesting trip is the old subway line with its ancient cars. We really enjoyed that.
I'll be there next week. Maybe I can meet you guys. Do you have suggestions of places that do prepared delivery meals? I'll be there for 2 months and looking for multiple eating options.
We are now back home visiting family 😊. Enjoy your time there, it's beautiful. As far as delivery, we didn't use it but they had multiple different companies to go through. Cheers!!
You guys look a little more peaceful and happy, even than normal. I have a feeling you guys just got engaged. Guess we’ll find out in upcoming videos.❤
Thank you for another interesting video, but I was disappointed that you guys did not breakdown your costs in Budapest, like you have done for so many other places you have stayed in. That would have really helped. I was in Budapest in 2017 and found it quite affordable compared to Western Europe, but the prices you mentioned in this and your last episode on Budapest shocked me. They are far higher than they were for me in 2017. Since you guys traveled through Western Europe last summer, I was hoping you would have done a comparison with those countries to show if Budapest was still a bargain. Comparing it to other countries in Eastern Europe (like Poland and Czechia) would have also been a great help for us trying to choose our next destination. In summary, please do a breakdown of your costs for each place you visit. That is one of the things I (and I am sure many others) find unique about your videos. I recall Carrie mentioned in the past that she keeps them accurate and handy by adding your costs daily.
Really enjoyed this, thanks. We've done a lot of research already on Budapest and you had some new info! Question about the farmers market at Kurz Szimpla (sp?). How extensive was it? Our first morning in Budapest will be a Sunday so wondering if it might be a place to pick up some bread, maybe cheese or fruit? Or maybe some local wine. :) we don't have a full kitchen but do have a fridge and microwave.
Thank you 😊 for this great video you have convinced me to go, we are planning a two weeks vacation leaving from Quebec and doing Budapest and Prague how many days in each location would you do? Thank you 🙏

2 days would be enough adding the 3rd if you want to take in a thermal bath or a museum.
