I think we'd like to see Jimmy the Magician and Jim the Trim on the channel one day, they are such an integral part of your videos and yet wrapped in mystery...
Matt, everything you produce is gratefully received, don't mind what it is, your videos are all so interesting and well produced, I no longer watch TV and have instead subscribed to TH-cam so no annoying advertisements, Wounderfull, it's defiantly the way to go.
Great video... and to answer your question...a mix of reviews, cheap ( and some not so cheap) cars, road trips and garage reviews and updates... thanks
Love everything that you do already, Matt and definitely the older classics. Please continue to do the videos that make you happy. Your hardcore fans will watch every single video 😃
Brilliant content as always Matt, Thought you were brilliant on the dealer chat podcast too., id personally like to see "I brought this old............for xxxxx" videos, they are brilliant, id also like to see go on a long road trip in a 5 and say a 3 or 2 year EV, to not only review how tec has changed, but give your honest take on them and the charge networks.
Anything you want Matt. I think that is one of your strong points. We just don't know what you are going to show us next. The fact that you are prepared to spend money getting the car right must have some reward when the car is sold. Oh, and the price you pay and sell cars for. There is no similarity in the UK prices and Aussie prices.
About the question on if the HPA TH-cam channel helps sell cars, it makes the car-yard more credible as we can see the cars being worked on and repaired properly. So even if we don't buy what is shown in the video, I feel better knowing we have a trustworthy dealer here.
Great to see you doing so well! I really like the buying, doing up and selling videos! Road trips, as long as they involve buying a car, and I know it’s more time consuming but long term reviews, like your new RR would be superb! I am a subscriber but often watch on TV under a guest account so apologies for being one of those people messing your algorithms!
I'm a car dealer and I love Italian cars. Infact my daily is a maserati quattroporte gts. I've had a few maserati - the ones with ferrari engines in are very reliable. I think car uk drives maserati too.
I'd like to see more trawling through autotrader type videos please, the sort with a given set of starting filters, price, body type, engine type etc etc. Your knowledge of details makes those videos as entertaining and educational as they are informative about the actual cars you've picked. Happy new year !!!
I've had over 40 private cars, from A 50 quid Robin up to a 30k Touareg, I have virtually no problems with any of them other than minor wear and tear usual faults, it's the way people drive and neglect cars that knackers them.
I do like the Q&A videos, if you could do monthly that would be great! It really shows how personable you are! Road trips are also good, but these can’t beat the turnaround videos that you do of your stock. The difference in the cars from first view to all work completed is always amazing. The 100NZ series was also very entertaining. Especially when you had 10% of all registered 100NXs at one point!
I think your overspending is a good thing not sure I ever met a car dealer who prides himself of getting a car ready for sale overspent or not than yourself Matt keep it up 👍
Some of the most interesting aspects of the show relate to the issues of cost/reliability of particular models or engine options within model ranges. These insights are really valuable to viewers and would certainly be highly influential when regular folk like myself buy a used car. Also your opinion when considering new vehicles, such as the question you answered regarding the best car to choose when comparing an Aygo with a Picanto sport.
Hi Matt, your content is interesting , varied and now very high quality. I love watching road trips such as Harry's Garage, so maybe a few of those types of videos?
I'd like to see video's featuring all the local businesses you use to give them a plug from your mechanic to Jimmy the magician to the wheel refurb guys to gearbox service guys. Anyone you use, you could all colllab together to help each other grow. 😀
On the topic of tyres it's also one the first things I look at when buying a used car. If someone put proper tyres on it then they most likely looked after it. People are very willing to put cheap tyres on which is the only contact point between the car and road. So if it's got cheap tyres, then where else have they skimped? Obviously, it's an assumption on my part and may not be true, but it puts a doubt in my mind.
We had a brand new mokka , sent it back after a week, it was the worst car I've ever had the misfortune of driving. My daughter liked it , I thought it was rubbish, another great vidio matt,
I think it's good Matt tries to keep as many old cars on the road as possible, I'm dreading the car world in 20 years, especially the way the Government seems hell bent on forcing EV's upon us
Another great Q and A video Matt. I think doing more reviews on classic cars from the 60s, 70s 80s would be great content. It would be interesting hearing your opinions on them as you mainly deal with the more modern cars on the mainstream used market. Reviews on more unusual cars like the 3 wheeled BMW Isseta would be fantastic 👌. Keep up the good work.
Bobbed up to the garage today as had nothing else to do today, but you weren't in, the man in Nick Ford office said you were out filming. 🙄 😂 And white EO68 in the corner needs a good wash, it's grubby Matthew!
What would I like to see more of in 2025? Definitely “I bought a cheap…….” Buy/fix/sell. Also, Jimmy the Magician. He does such nice work, I’d like to see him on your channel. Thanks.
Hi Matt, love the vids. Ideally I'd like you to mainly do the buying and selling videos with maybe a road trip thrown in every quarter. The car sector on TH-cam is somewhat oversaturated at the moment with everyone trying to fill the Top Gear/Grand Tour void. Your videos are a nice escape from that.
I'm not sure I'd want to see a significant spike in any one single video type. One of the main attractions to your channel for me is the variety of content, so a bit of everything. There are so many channels doing new car reviews, however your "I bought a..." videos are actually a good mix of the interest/entertainment value, but also kind of act as a review of a second hand car. You often talk about the long term condition and reliability of the model, which when people are buying second hand cars these videos are a lot more relevant than looking up one of the many reviews from when the car was brand new and unable to give us this valuable longer term information. I think you've found a good little niche in what you do now. I agree with some other commenters though that it could be of interest to see more about the work of Jim and Jimmy though (maybe a 'Day in the Life' or just a focus on one particular job to see what they do), and similarly maybe even a one-off video at your local car wash to see how they tackle one of the more 'challenging' cleaning jobs you give them. I guess that might at first glance seem like watching someone hoover, but when you think about everything as a whole such as moss, mould, caked in grime etc, there might be something in it?
Hi Matt, Happy NY to you. In 2025 I would like to see more road trips. Maybe thru some scenic parts of UK or abroad. For example take us on a tour of the Lakes District in the RR. Or a convertible thru Bordeaux region this summer. Whatever you do I am sure it will be entertaining.
Keep doing what u do and how, cause it is actually entertaining and interesting for ppl looking on the Market to find out what is going on there. It is mostly good to hear what a professionel Car Dealer has to say about a Model or the Market. Cheers M8
Like the mix of subjects in your videos. What I wouldn’t mind seeing more of? That would be one or two road trips, preferably into Europe. Don’t live on that side of the pond any more, used to really enjoy my/our trips over there and now I’m too old to be comfortable driving myself.
Hi Matt! I’d love to see a challenge video. One where you have to find a car in awful condition for a very low price, and make a profit on it still. Ie auctions, marketplace, gumtree. Best wishes for 2025!
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question, the initial diagnosis of the problem was a sticking clutch, the warranty wouldn't pay eventually the vendor agreed to pay, when this didn't solve the problem, again the warranty company refused to pay fund the repair, the vendor was also refusing to pay, eventually the vendor under duress from the finance company took the car back and fitted a new actuator, this on a car which was all within 3 months of purchasing, the car in question was Peugeot 208 1.2 automatic, 65 plate with 45 K on the clock, as for future content more of the same especially showing the buying and prepping the vehicles for sale and yes I would definitely buy a car off you, cheers
Good vid matt. What is like to see more of is you actually really looking at a car. Not the 4 corners and the trim, bodywork Tec but bonnet up, go underneath the car with a bright torch looking for for rust, loose linkages etc. Love what you're presenting but do you really know how to judge a car? Also why do you go to see cars you've already bought (blind?) it seems crazy! Love your channel though.
Hi Matt, I came to this channel because of your "Should I Buy" take on a vehicles - i even used your White Jaguar XKR as my reference when i bought one after watching your video several times, so for me, this works for you, "don't take it the wrong way," but the more popular i.e subscribers you have gained, the less serious the channel has become, (in my opinion). Over the wet and dismal Christmas holidays i have watched all your Range Rover L405 videos as they are very informative, and very useful when on your search for a new RR etc. i.e whether to buy a 4.4 - 2013 - 2015 (Full Service History only) as they are cheaper, but the interesting comment about the future Ulez in Manchester is coming (one day in the near future) - weighing up the cost of the road tax (currently £710 against £190 for a 2017) against the later versions does not make sense if you have the car over 3 years - so this has prompted me to search for later models - your inside knowledge is very valuable to non trade people. I even came up to your pitch, and test drove a 530 GT only to find whilst i was out on test ride your Salesman had received a deposit from abroad - keep up the "Should I Buy" videos - thats your main strength !!!!
Great interview. Mike for what it’s worth I reckon you could still do a TH-cam in parallel to your TV work and people would watch in droves. Interesting on your comments on the UK market - I thought around 80% of UK new sales were financed on PcP or leased. Maybe financing on the used market is significantly less but certainly in the new market a huge proportion is finance and lease in the UK.
Love the videos Matt - long time subscriber here (with you since the beginning!). Would love to see more reviews and road trips… as much as I love the ‘I bought a cheap’ vids… I’d particularly like to see you review a Lexus GS450h
Hi Matt, how about doing a video on cars that highlights things to look out for on a particular make and model before buying one. There is so much to look out for when buying a second hand car so I'm sure your advice would be helpful. My first suggestion would be a Alfa Romeo MiTo. Keep up the good work x
No preference as to what you do more of.I`m so glad that I found your channel,I just want to watch it all. Many thanks,Matt. Although,I wouldn`t mind seeing you buy and get a Ferrari ready for sale.
What a great video, would love to see some more of your spur of the moment car purchases, and I think your so right in saying that if car manufacturers stop selling petrol and deisel cars to which I doubt but if they did second hand prices would rocket 🚀 to a whole new level in my opinion, and would love to see more day in the life uploads, keep up the good work 👏 👌👍
Great video and to answer your question personally speaking, as much as it might be a tad nosey, I enjoy videos where you talk in depth about your business, garage tours, the profit HPA made in its first month, the garage overhaul - all that kind of stuff. As much as it’s a tad cringe I watch because the content’s great but also I watch for you, you’re very knowledgeable and informative. Disgusting part exchanges and Should you buy this kia is also up my street though so more of the same!
Hi Matt, have you seen the Australian channel of 'jerry sales', great and funny videoos, with a Chinese guy selling cars. Very funny videos! Keep up the good work!
love the channel, would love to see some more content like the s4 n s5 n how yu brought a car yu actually want then document them, and also would love to see dirt cheap good looking cars
That was fun, even though you didn't get to my question. I personally like the sub 5k cars. And I put forward a motion for ' I Massively Overspent ' t shirt merch.😂
As others have said, I think the very reason you are heading towards the 500k subscribers is because of the balance of content as it is. I think the title grabs us in. For example "CHEAP CITROEN C5 FOR £750" It immediately gets me thinking 'why can't I find a car like that?' Then finding out that a lot of works goes into it, plus £1700 to make it viable.
Love the channel Mat. Although you slated the Chery Omoda5 I'll continue to watch, I bought one a year ago here in Australia and I live it, I get the pushback on Chinese brands but the quality is excellent. I'd like to see a roadtrip in a crap car. I was expecting to see your trip in that old Citroen van you bought.
I would like to see more profit based videos, I can’t quite put my finger on why I enjoy them so much but I do, I think I can relate more to the everyday/common car rather than a car I’m not likely to ever own
Would like to see you include some of the fixes occasionally. Show Jimmy the magician doing his thing, or your mechanic replacing the brake discs etc etc. Maybe even showing the scrap dealer crushing one of your not so clever purchases
More reviews of luxury cars, such as Jaguar's. They have some of your highest views and especially as they are becoming more affordable. Maybe doing a video of comparing a jaguar xj vs BMW 7 series. I've watched 100s of your videos and have yet to see a comparison side by side face off, just a thought! Thanks for your amazing content, though, Matt. You are my go-to for car content, and i have bought many a car based on your recommendations and never gone wrong, so cheers.
Hi Matt, I was one of the 70% who regularly watched your vids unsubscribed until now. I would like to see some more Car Chat episodes. Really enjoyed the couple I have seen. Maybe expand that to include car designers, engine specialists, smaller car creators such as Morgan or Ariel. I am sure you would have a personal list of all areas of car production?
Hi Matt, My main issue on your overspend is the cost of refurbishment of the alloy wheels at on average £330, there must be somewhere cheaper that is just as good as there's at least 6 or 7 around here in Motherwell that will do them for £150 up to 18"
You're so cool, man 🙂. Well-spoken, lifestyle, business you run 👍. What would I like to see more of this year??? Cheap and cheerful, that's what I drive at the moment and enjoying as well 🙂
My question is have you driven a modern HGV Class 1. If you haven't have a look at the "DAF Challenge" on Virgin Experience Days. It won't be top spec like my new Iveco S-Way (you'd think it's a 44 ton Range Rover), but it's amazing experience when you first drive one. Plus it's educational, you'd be amazed at how different it is. I'd love to see you do a video of that and give your honest opinions on car driving vs HGV driving.
I think we'd like to see Jimmy the Magician and Jim the Trim on the channel one day, they are such an integral part of your videos and yet wrapped in mystery...
Arm wrestle aswell
Jim the trim was in a video recently only briefly though
I totale agree. On the other a little mystery keeps you interested and keeps you imagening What they Will look like and be in person.
What about the lads from Dents? or the guys over at Thameside detailing?
Hear hear.
What do I want to see more of? Well, really what you already do. Variety is the key for me. I pretty much enjoy all you do. Happy new year.
Great video, as always! Your hard work really stands out.
Great Q&A, to be honest I like the cheap cars you do, I like to see the turn around you do with them and keep one more for the road going.
Love all your content; you're just a very watchable and likeable bloke so whatever style of video you put out is cool
Hoping we see Jim the Trim and Jimmy the Magician on the channel. Keep the variety of content coming Matt. Have a great week.
Matt, everything you produce is gratefully received, don't mind what it is, your videos are all so interesting and well produced, I no longer watch TV and have instead subscribed to TH-cam so no annoying advertisements, Wounderfull, it's defiantly the way to go.
"I've massively overspend" has become a trademark of his 😅
it should be his catch phase i have one so this should be his lol.
I want to see more Alan Partridge references 😂
You people.
What do you think of the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre?
Great video... and to answer your question...a mix of reviews, cheap ( and some not so cheap) cars, road trips and garage reviews and updates... thanks
Love everything that you do already, Matt and definitely the older classics. Please continue to do the videos that make you happy. Your hardcore fans will watch every single video 😃
Nelson here, American ex pat living in Germany. Love your videos. For me, Car reviews, cheap flips and road trips in third. Just my opinion.
@@nelsonserrate9281 thanks
Brilliant content as always Matt, Thought you were brilliant on the dealer chat podcast too., id personally like to see "I brought this old............for xxxxx" videos, they are brilliant, id also like to see go on a long road trip in a 5 and say a 3 or 2 year EV, to not only review how tec has changed, but give your honest take on them and the charge networks.
Great to see my question included. Thanks Matt 😊 really enjoy this channel
Matt's 'Massive Overspend ' is a catchphrase! 😜
Enjoy what you do already Matt like seeing the older cars brought back to life and how you balance the spend.
keep the variety . Day in the life / cheap cars / road trips etc . Just seen you on Shifting metal's pod
I like your channel as is, barely any change is required
About the question on if the HPA TH-cam channel helps sell cars, it makes the car-yard more credible as we can see the cars being worked on and repaired properly. So even if we don't buy what is shown in the video, I feel better knowing we have a trustworthy dealer here.
If Matt sells a car that is as good as possible, and therefore gived him a smaller profit, he has a good chance of a happy customer comes back.
Your bang on there buddy if you are not a fool and money does not rule your life you will always have plenty of it i know i have...
Keep doing what your doing Matt, love all the content you put out in 2024, entertaining and educational, keep it up fella
I love the I bought a cheap….. videos and day in the life vlogs (they are never boring even when you don’t do much). Xx
I'm a car dealer and I love Italian cars. Infact my daily is a maserati quattroporte gts. I've had a few maserati - the ones with ferrari engines in are very reliable. I think car uk drives maserati too.
Just keep making more content, been an avid watcher since last summer when I got my first car and got into car content :D
I'd like to see more trawling through autotrader type videos please, the sort with a given set of starting filters, price, body type, engine type etc etc. Your knowledge of details makes those videos as entertaining and educational as they are informative about the actual cars you've picked. The 100NZ series was also very entertaining. Especially when you had 10% of all registered 100NXs at one point!
Great sum-up of your operations , thoroughly enjoyed it. BTW, why no 2025 Calendar ?
All the best for 2025 !
Hi Matt. The video mix is good, nothing needs to change.
More contents matt...you're channel is brilliant to watch and honest.
I think your overspending is a good thing not sure I ever met a car dealer who prides himself of getting a car ready for sale overspent or not than yourself Matt keep it up 👍
Don’t think I would change much ,if anything at all ,always look forward to watching these ,
Keep doing what you’re doing already! It’s a good mixture of doer-uppers, road trips, top enders and forecourt tours! Have a great year Matt👊🏻👍🏻

I enjoy the road trips and “I bought a cheap xyz”.
More behind the scenes videos with the companies that help prepare the cars.
I'd like to see video's featuring all the local businesses you use to give them a plug from your mechanic to Jimmy the magician to the wheel refurb guys to gearbox service guys. Anyone you use, you could all colllab together to help each other grow. 😀
Thanks for reading out my question Matt! Love all your content but definitely would like to see some more road trips and day in the life style videos.

Matt, I'd buy a car from you in a heartbeat! I may just do so in the future too, i'm in Chesterfield so not too far away either!
More cheap cars please, especially the contents of the ashtrays and storage areas, always find it so interesting as to what you come across
Cheers for answering Matt! Landsails aren't a bad tyre and I enjoy learning of the funny Chinese brands.
Like the mix of subjects in your videos.

Must agree
Really good q and a matt, definitely more cheap cars, its really interesting what you get, maybe some more 90s classics ??
What do I want to see more of, you ask? More cheap cars bought unseen, more retro stuff like the 100nx's, and more road trips!

more car prep videos, love seeing them transformed, especially the older stuff.

Definitely more road trip videos for 2025. The cheap shitbox videos are fun, too.
Matt sorry to say this but, I like the mix, just keep doing what your doing.
love the channel, would love to see some more content like the s4 n s5 n how yu brought a car yu actually want then document them, and also would love to see dirt cheap good looking cars
Like to see more road trips and maybe more Italian, unusual.and low mileage cars. Love this channel
Would be interesting to see some auctions if you ever participate in them. It does seem like you have the best mechanic and detail crew on the planet.
I would like to see more profit based videos, I can’t quite put my finger on why I enjoy them so much but I do, I think I can relate more to the everyday/common car rather than a car I’m not likely to ever own
I would like some more videos of mercedes brand, buying or selling or reviews, any thing. Keep filming us the best content on TH-cam!
Any content please Matt, great channel. More Partridge references!
Nice to see you advertising a gritter company on your top. Very relevant given the weather 🥶. (Yes I know..)
Hi Matt,
My main issue on your overspend is the cost of refurbishment of the alloy wheels at on average £330, there must be somewhere cheaper that is just as good as there's at least 6 or 7 around here in Motherwell that will do them for £150 up to 18"
You're so cool, man 🙂. Well-spoken, lifestyle, business you run 👍. What would I like to see more of this year??? Cheap and cheerful, that's what I drive at the moment and enjoying as well 🙂
As for budget tyres stick to Happy Gallops, with a brand name like that you cant go wrong!
Just keep doin what you're doin! I like it all (even if I am a bit rude sometimes in the comments about some of the cars you feature!).
You come across as a good lad mat !
More reviews and road trips please!
It’s all interesting fair play and informative 👍
‘I’ll just talk over you!’ 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My question is have you driven a modern HGV Class 1.
