This was when everybody wasn’t so uptight,we just laughed till it hurt, love you reaction.Al Buddy was classic, nowadays there would be protests and shut it down, cancel.
The religious right tried many times to get it off the air, but it only got more people to watch, and why they often poked fun of religion, and regions of the country that complained about the show.
No wonder the older generations say we’re too sensitive. You’re so right; that show would cause absolute outrage today. Yet only a very few decades ago that type of humour was common and encouraged. It seems like somehow through time - or because of the effects social media has on society - the humour and cleverness were cast aside. The other crucial factor was that Al Bundy was portrayed as a stereotypical failure of a man. He peaked in high school and now works in a shoe store. He’s poor, unattractive, and miserable. The show itself insults him and makes fun of him. Something really interesting to see is how this actor, Ed O’Neill, perceives things in the show “Modern Family”. It’s as though he’s a more refined, wiser, seasoned version of this character who has to adapt to a very different environment.
A genuine and most delightful reaction to the brilliant insult comedy from the TV show Married with Children. The show was very popular in its day, the writing was award winning and Al Bundy's delivery was.........well, no need to tell you, you have seen it and your reaction says it all. You have an authentic and charming way with your reactions. Your Only the Lonely by Roy Orbison reaction was priceless. Here's hoping you keep rolling 'em out. You're terrific at it.
Those of us who got to watch this show back in the day used to laugh and laugh. Now, when Gen Z and A wokies watch this, self-trigger and lose their minds, we old-timers just laugh at them. Funny is where you find it. 🤣 Thanks, Sarah, fabulous reaction.
Finally. Someone who knows what being sarcastic really means and is not offended by it. Thank you so much. You don’t know how much it means to us older folk who don’t care about the younger generations feelings to see you react like this. Thank you, thank you.
I've seen the show many times and I've seen lots of reactors reactor Al Bundy. But you "Sarah made me laugh harder with you reacting to this clip. Loved it.
That was the best reaction I’ve seen to this video !!! I wish I could give you at least one thousand likes … but that is not possible, so one will do and I’m giving it from all my heart - you’re awesome !! Salutations from Romania …
Miss Sarah, you can find some really interesting things in American Pop culture to react to. I enjoy watching you as you watch these old TV shows and listen to older music for the first time. You inspired me to have my grandchildren listen to some of the things that I listen to when I was young.
Kudos to you. 😂😂 I use to and still watch this show. I'm 47 and I'm glad you understand what's going on. I've come across many videos of folks watching this and not getting it
3:52 He works at a shoe store. Problem is many of the customers come in, INSISTING they are a size 5 or 6, when they obviously are NOT. YET, they get REAL angry when said shoe sizes does not fit. They are also rude, like the one who said, "Aren't you open?"...no hello, no how are you...nothing. They are KARENS, long before the term 'Karen' was even made. Always treat those who work retail and food service with respect, folks. Al pretty much says what people working in those 2 areas DREAM of saying to rude customers and management.
So, IF I recall correctly: Al Bundy's greatest achievement was four runs in high school, his greatest downfall was after the game having relations of the variety that start at the backseat of a car and ending in maternity ward if fox finds it's way into the hen house with Peg and subsequently her father arranged for a shotgun wedding and thus Al had to start providing for his family instead of say acquiring skills to be anything but a salesperson.
Despite all the excitement, we should not forget that Al Bundy scored 4 touchdowns in one game in 1966 and helped the Polk High School Panthers win the city championship!
As much as he claims to hate the family watch just how fast he comes to their defence if someone does them wrong & same for the rest of the family. They can & will bully each other but if non family try it they are getting a beating!!!
Im a boomrr, born in 1954 and I loved this show from day 1...We learned how to appreciate brutal Raw " hit me with your best shot" insults and comebacks...it would end up being a contest who could be most prolific and cause the best " burn"..and nobody had a freaking meltdown, got shot, and no neighborhoods got burnt down and chicks didnt shave their heads...
If you haven’t reacted to the stand up comedian Ron White, I believe you enjoy it. The alaskan bear story Dickin around with tiger woods The dr phil story I got thrown out of a bar Four good videos to start with!
You said that you liked his wife, but here's a little bit of info. You may already know her voice as she voiced the character Leela on the tv show Futurama.
Somewhere along the line, people forgot jokes are meant to make you laugh. Now everyone tries to read into every joke to the point nobody is allowed to laugh.
It never would have been put on TV on any of the established networks in the 90s, either, but the Fox network was a new network and hungry for hits, so a lot of experimental shows were tried, including Married with Children and The Simpsons.
That was one of the great shows back in the day. When we hurt ourselves by laughing.
It's good to see someone laughing at jokes instead of being offended, from Australia. Ps love your laugh 🇦🇺✝️😁
You have laughed harder than all the other reactionaries!!!! Great reaction !!!
@@greg2976 I was thinking the same thing, can't wait to see a different reaction from her😂😂

That show did cause outrage especially from women’s groups. They wanted the show cancelled.
@@Matthew-pf7sb hilariously most of those jokes were written by the women it was targeted at,,,
@@Brainreaver79 Exactly and many played the part themselves. Off camera Ed and the characters he insulted were all good friends.
@Bethsabee_Sheba_Newrose the big ladies in the show had no problem with the country is too sensitive nowadays
@phillipjohnson1459 Have you all seen South Park or Family Guy?

Good comedy stands the test of time. You can tell every time you see young people laugh watching shows like this. Just like I did many years ago.
Your laugh is so cute it makes me laugh ❤
Agreed. I've seen all these episodes in the 80s but Miss Sarah is so cute I can't resist.

I love seeing someone laugh so much at this, rather than clutching their pearls and commenting about how awful it is! 😂
Sarah, It sure was a lot of fun watching you enjoy Al Bundy
Congratulations to your great humor😁👍🏼
Finally someone who isn't afraid to laugh.
Miss Sarah, you can find some really interesting things in American Pop culture to react to. I enjoy watching you as you watch these old TV shows and listen to older music for the first time. You inspired me to have my grandchildren listen to some of the things that I listen to when I was young.
I'm glad you can laugh at these and not just "be offended"

Al Bundy, hero of my childhood ;-)
I ❤ your reaction! That's the reaction comedy is supposed to elicit.
Your laugh is very contagious and it made my day. Thank you.. Hugs from Brasil
Al Bundy was probably the greatest character ever created for comedy.
I grew up watching that, when the world still had a sense of humor.
Maybe again, i hope.
To legendarny serial dziś już nie można bo wszyscy się obrażają a tak naprawdę komedia ma budzić śmiech a nie poprawność polityczną
i grown up to this comedy..Al bundy is the center of insults-
Consider doing reactions to the full show. Great entertainment.
Al Bundy one of the toughest, funniest tv characters ever. lol
3:52 He works at a shoe store. Problem is many of the customers come in, INSISTING they are a size 5 or 6, when they obviously are NOT. YET, they get REAL angry when said shoe sizes does not fit. If you liked this, you really really must react to the show, it is HILARIOUS!!!!

The lady who plays Marcy Darcy [ The one he compares to a chicken ] wrote a lot of these jokes
Sarcasm King.🤣

Comedy was great in the 80s😂😂😂

That was comedy, before it became regulated.
Most of the women were comedians and wrote some of the jokes. The rest were written by the chicken lady lol
Off topic... Your hair is awesome! Fabulous color!

He used to work in a Shoe store and he always had ft women coming in, I've seen every episode like 100 times
I used to use the married with children abb werkout all that laughing does strengthen the abbs haaaaaaa !
Somewhere along the line, people forgot jokes are meant to make you laugh. Now everyone tries to read into every joke to the point nobody is allowed to laugh.
Have you ever seen "Alf"? One of my favorites from my childhood, also Benson!
It never would have been put on TV on any of the established networks in the 90s, either, but the Fox network was a new network and hungry for hits, so a lot of experimental shows were tried, including Married with Children and The Simpsons.
Married with Children was great, try making a sit com like this today and some activist group would put you in jail
You should check out Fawltey Towers
I read that many of the fat jokes were written by his victims.
