Sadly, the battlefields look boring. No elevation or blockades for cover or additional strategy
Which is why FF Tactics is goated. Ogre Tactics a close second.
@@kjuju I enjoyed Triangle Strategy. Just not enough customization. I absolutely loved the job system.
Sadly a good system is only one leg of the stool. I need compelling story. FFT was my introduction to the genre. I was ruined from the get go.
Divinity original sin 1&2 are the goats and have set the bar to where nothing can compete. FF tactics was played out by the early 2000s and is unplayable for anyone old enough.
i’ve started playing this game and it’s alot of fun!! i’ve been trying to get gems to unlock player slots to try more classes there’s so much to choose from and best part gears and progression are account wide, making it not a must for me to restart my progress from level 1 other than my character

I was definitely one that glossed over this game once I saw that it was free-to-play. But after watching your review here, I think I'll give it a chance for the gameplay and story. Thanks for giving this information!
I tired this game on your recommendation, and I must say, it is a blast!!! Just a simple little game, short battles, easy to figure out and play. I'm playing as the Archer and love the game play dynamics. The way the game is made, you play in quick short fights and you can always replay past opponents for more gold. The game appears to be resource generous and well balanced between getting new abilities and not getting everything all at once.
Yeah it’s really a fun little game when you give it an honest chance! :)

@@davidvinc that’s awesome, thank you very much. I am having a lot of fun with this game. It’s something great to just turn on and play for 10-15 minutes, and then you find you’ve been playing it for an hour and don’t know where the time has gone, but you had fun.

YES!!! anythign from Wakfu/Dofus universe is a must try for me. god i love the art style of the series. the artist is absolutely amazing. ok now to go back and re-watch Wakfu

Ahh, yes, the laws from FFTA. Where they can cripple your squad but the AI doesn't care because it can get as many yellow cards as it wants and bosses are immune to red cards, so the laws are basically just there to make your game experience worse.
This game is great. It’s a gem.
Im so addicted to this game. I picked it up last week and its been open in my steam deck nearly non stop since. If I have a 5 min break at work, I grind a battle or two ;)
The only thing its missing besides the amount of content Wakfu and Dofus has is English creators. There seems to be a rapidly growing number of French creators (to be expected) but there's almost no English sneaking content creators :(
