    Corran Horn, Pilot, Jedi Knight, Husband, Father, Hero of the Galaxy, and my favorite Star Wars character of all time.

      definitely one of the GOAT!

      My fav Jedi too. Since he’s your fav I need to ask a question. My only real knowledge of this character comes from the Vong war & I haven’t read that in 20 years. Please tell me, am I remembering wrong or were his force powers a little different than the norm? Currently in process of hunting down the NJO series again but only have about half of it now.

      @@tomhur1 was that it? Like I said, it’s been about 20 years since I read it, I could have sworn there was something about him not being able to use telekinesis but, like I said, could be misremembering a lot.
      Edit: thank you for getting back to me! Appreciate it!😁

    First time I saw the character of Corran Horn, it was a photo on a traiding card game card. The guy posing was Michael A Stackpole, the X-Wing books author. That likeness has stuck on my mind since then and the way he is portrayed in comics and other media seems wrong to me. Also he's one of my favorite characters.

      I can understand. First impressions usually stick with you the longest, however I prefer his later appearance personally, but to each their own!

    technically the balfour trees were special because the biotech of the yuuzhan vong were allergic to its pollen, not that it could penetrate their armor, its just caused it to die and shrivel up strangling the warrior inside, great vid!! I miss the real star wars!!

      It's just more Disney baiting to try to get EU fans to stop asking for new books and comics. Also narrative control because now every mass-media site worth their salt is gonna flood the message "Corran Horn is back" and thus we are drowned out, and it feeds the illusion they're giving something of value to the EU fans when they are not.

    He had the best response to Luke ever. He has been right down there, where light meets dark.

    the Yuuzhan Vong Vonduun crab armor was allergic to the pollen of the Bafforr tree it had nothing to do with the structure of the trees.

    I skipped the last part of this video as I'm just getting into the New Jedi Order series and didn't want things spoiled.
    Overall, I like Corran Horn pretty well as a character from what I've read so far. I really enjoyed the X-wing books but I have to admit that I found I, Jedi to be a rather mixed bag (way too long and the pacing was really uneven). Still, I am excited to read the next two NJO books where Corran is said to feature quite prominently. Vector Prime was pretty good and Michael Stackpole is one of the better Legends writers.

      Yes I, Jedi is definitely an odd one with its FPN but I thought it was clever how he was worked into the Jedi Academy trilogy.

      I saw it once by myself and have no desire to pay to see it again, compared to TFA where I went four times and probably bought seven tickets for that film total.

      @saberiandream316 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope. It's just a name. It won't be the same Corran Horn you know because his stories were destroyed, exterminated, nuked back in 2014. It isn't the same character, just another person with that same name. You're falling into more marketing traps and nostalgia bait.

    • @Lazlowzky
      @Lazlowzky 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@saberiandream316 There is more than his name in the credits.
      His mum‘s name is Nyche (same in EU)
      And his father‘s name (Valin Halcyon) is written on the wooden wall in Kenobi episode 3.
      He and his mother want to travel to Correlia and his age is about right too.
      He is 100% Corran Horn, but maybe you are right and his original story isn’t possible anymore.

    • @saberiandream316

      @@Lazlowzky SO WHAT? The timeline has changed due to the reboot. His stories will NOT be the same, won't be the Corran Horn you knew and remember and love. I don't WANT something "made canon again," _I want it continued._ So long as you're getting happy with stripping down legacy characters to be altered, revised, changed, and recycled in a less interesting way, you enable the Disney problem.

      Yes, Disney is all about PR spin and narrative control, so these pandering easter eggs are just attempts to try to feed the impression that they're giving something to EU fans, when they are not. EU fans want new stories, better reprints, or animated adaptations. To date, we have had none of that. The casual fandom just turn it into clapping seals for the next cheap thrills, and on the cycle continues.

      Dave filoni and John favreau have making attempts at mending this. I hope whatever they decide to do is a positive addition to the star wars cinematic universe. It would be really cool to see them bring corran horn into the cinematic universe but I worry that they might do it wrong and bring more division amongst Star Wars fans
