      Yes, becaus the focus wheel is smaller it is much easier to use than on the crane 3 lab. Especaly it you buy the L grip form gimbal gear or any other side grip. Becaus the you got dual handle grip and you can reach the wheel from eather both hands.

    Thank you for the comparison video! Is it possible to have mic with weebill s. I am thinking of 5D mark iv with 16-35 f4 and quite big mic on the top like rode pro+ or rode stereo video mic x. Do you think there is enough space at the bottom to balance such setup? I am using crane 2 right now and I had to replace one axis for a longer one to get it work. I do realize that even if I can balance it under sling mode will not be possible.

    • @PeterMakholm
      @PeterMakholm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am pretty sure that it is possible to put a large mic on top. The autotune will autocorrect for the heavy load. I am not home right now, but let me test it in a couple of days, and I will let you know.

      @RomanSudarikov 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PeterMakholm Thank you very much for your help. From the reviews I am quite sure that the weight will not be a problem. What I am worried about is can the camera be adjusted enough in down direction to compensate for the weight of the mic, or the fact that the mic will be quite far from the center point, so the gimbal can be balanced. I would highly appreciate it if you could check that for me! I am not in hurry with the answer.

    Hi there. I think I am keen to buy the weebil S to use with my bmpcc 4K (aware of having to counter balance etc), but now I'm wondering how possible it would be to mount my C200 on it too with a small pancake lens, since weight wise it will still be within limits. The concern is the length of the arm on the tilt axis, since the camera is tall. People seem to mount it on the Crane 3 ok so I'm wondering what the difference in length is between the tilt arm axis on the Weebil S and the Crane 3? Thanks for your help!

    • @PeterMakholm
      @PeterMakholm 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Your BMPCC 4K is no problemo on the weebill S. But the C200 is difently to tall. I resently had an S1H on and it could just fit on there. So if you want to get the c200 on the gimbal you should go with the crane 3 lab.

    Thanks for the comparison! I've been using the BMPCC4K on the weebil 3 lab for a few months now and can't seem to balance it properly. I use counter weights and can get the camera to balance more or less, but I'm unable to place the camera in any position and it stays there.
    Have you had any experience using the bmpcc4k on the lab? I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong, but can't seem to figure it out.

    • @PeterMakholm
      @PeterMakholm 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi William, That is the problem with the Weebill lab. It is not strong enough to handle a bigger camera. And with the BMPCC4K beeing wide you will always have this problem. I could balance my GH5 on the lab, but it was still a bit front heavy. And therefore, the motors are on overload. I would strongly suggest that you sell the weebill Lab and buy the Weebill S. It has the strength to handle the BMPCC4K and the auto-tune mode, makes the gimbal adjust the motors accordingly to your camera setup. if you got any other questions, just let me know.

    Hi Peter! Great video, very informative. I just wanted to know if the weebill S would manage to balance the Sony 24-70 2.8 GM lens which I use with a Sony A7s ii. I bought a Weebill S couple of months ago and it struggled to balance with the 24-70 as the front gets too heavy even with the riser plate and/or lens support. I then returned it to the shop I bought it from for a refund but they sent me a replacement gimbal instead. I still haven’t opened the package because if it doesn’t work with the 24-70 then I would send it back again for a refund without opening the box as 24-70 is the only lens I have at the moment and it’s cheaper for me to get another gimbal than buying lighter lenses to go with the Weebill S.

      I don't think there is a noticeable difference between these two gimbal. But because the weebill S is smaller I can hold it closer to my body and there fore get better gimbal control.

    Hi!
    Should I sell my zhiyun crane to buy the weebill or I don’t will see any difference?

    • @PeterMakholm
      @PeterMakholm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oscar Navarro depends on what camera you will put on the weebill S. If it is as smaller camera then Yes. I still use my crane 3 Lab for my S1H.

      Hi Peter Makholm,
      Subbed and liked. Video is timely and love your old school phone call in the booth. LOL, my nephew was watching with me and asked me what’s the thing he’s walking into and why he’s not calling on his mobile phone! :)
      I already have a Ronin S and a setup that negates the weight con on this gimbal. It’s a high quality built gimbal and performs well.
      I bought the Weebill lab beforehand and was disappointed and the Ronin S doesn’t have locking arms but balancing it was so simple + the motor calibration on app.
      Now looking for a light setup but motor strength, weight, balancing are all criteria’s needed to ensure smooth video.
      I have A73, GH5 and EOSR for light setup and S1H for heavy setup.
      I am looking at the Lab3 vs. Crane3. The Crane3 from B&H is on sale now for essentially the same price so that’s a mute point.
      Price aside, for smooth and performance video, which one would you recommend.

      Nomad 24 thanks mate. Love your nephew's comment about the phone booth.
      I am loving the weebill S with my gh5, it is a light and compact setup
      For my S1H I prefer the glidecam but there are some moves and situations where I need the gimbal and there I use the crane 3 Lab. I Dont like the Zhiyun app. Dji definitely wins on that one. The crane 3 lab is definitely best to operate I sling mode I find that the handle can be a bit in the way when shooting upright.
      On the crane 3 Lab you can re position the gimbal in follow mode by holding down the GO button. That is not possible on the Weebill S. That is a bit ignoring.
      I will soon make a video about my thoughts of the weebill S, after 3 months of use.
      If you got any other questions, just let me know.

    Anyone interested in buying a lightly used crane 3 lab, lol? fckin zhiyun.... i sprung for the crane 3 lab because the weebill lab just had too many flaws that were dealbreakers for me (relatively small payload, ergonomics that made it impossible/annoying to mount your camera with a longish lense, poor battery life), and in what feels like no time flat, have ironed out all the kinks, and made the gimbal i wanted all along. fml
