I agree. When I was a kid she didn't look like the Farrah Fawcetts and Brooke Shields that I was supposed to drool over. She didn't wear sexy or revealing clothing on Good Times. So you can imagine my confusion for not taking my eyes off her on every scene. She's just naturally and universally beautiful to everyone.

Good Times is still my favorite show. I watch it every Saturday on TV One-channel 771 in my area (TV One runs 6 hours of *Good Times* episodes every Saturday, so I leave it on all day while I'm working or cleaning). I always thought Thelma, and Willona, were so beautiful. And, I knew Willing sang, but I had no idea she sang too.

Well, I don't think it's a case of her chasing fame as it is that she wasn't able to find much work in Hollywood after GT was canceled. Like Jimmie Walker and Ralph Carter ,she was a victim of typecasting, so I think her absence in acting isn't voluntary. But she still looks great and it appears she's doing well.

I am white, born in 1966-so I was 8 when Good Times came out. My parents liked Good Times because it was such a loving, wholesome family, so I hardly ever missed an episode. I was getting to that age where you start to get those warm feelings and stuff, and I couldn't take my eyes off Thelma. Definitely my first crush. She made those 70's outfits rock! Her smile is beautiful, body is ridiculous, she was loving to her parents, and comically put J. J. in his place when he needed it. Glad to see that bit in Love Boat (thank you so much for putting that in!) Got a little teary eyed with that picture at the end with John Amos. She was my neighbor. I lived in the Brownsville projects in Brooklyn and she lived in the Van Dyke projects across the street from me. Her dad and my mom were co-workers in the Brownsville Community Counsel. I never met her but we, she, Ralph and I shared a community newspaper article for outstanding young artists of Brownsville. At that time, Bernadette moved on and had already left for California for Good Times.

I used to watch the Good Times reruns on Chicago Channel 60. The 1980s was a great time for the local UHF channels. You got to see a lot of the great old cartoons. I was born in 1974.

I was able to meet her at a function on Ft. Belvoir. I talked to her and expressed my crush on her. (Lol) I purchased an original baby-girl t-shirt from her. She personally autographed it. I used to watch the Good Times reruns on Chicago Channel 60. The 1980s was a great time for the local UHF channels. You got to see a lot of the great old cartoons. I was born in 1974.

Good Times was always good to watch. I enjoyed watching what you put together about Ms Thelma. She's beautiful, and she was amazing in Good Times! I too was crazy about her as a kid growing up. I was able to meet her at a function on Ft. Belvoir. I talked to her and expressed my crush on her. (Lol) I purchased an original baby-girl t-shirt from her. She personally autographed it. I was the ecstatic. She is still holding her own. It's good to see that she is doing good, and I wish her much more success years & years to come.
