Born a white kid in 1970 I grew up watching these primarily black cast shows like Good Times, Sanford and Son, The Jefferson’s and not having any thought's about color. I was raised that we are all unique individuals, fellow Americans. In 2024 I’m saddened by our world now but stay optimistic about our future. ❤️✌🏼🇺🇸
There’s nothing wrong with thinking about race though. Black culture is a part of American culture, a beautiful irreplaceable part, a significant contributor. 🙏🏾🌟

Science says melanated people especially black skin ages 15-20 yrs slower than non melanated skin. So black woman magic still has a lot to do with it. It's an advantage whether people choose to accept it or not and I didn't need science to tell me what I see all around me.

I met Jimmy Walker and spoke to him for quite awhile. He is kind and humble! Plus, he had my friend and I cracking up with nothing but clean, profanity-free jokes!
I watched "Good Times" in the mid-1970's when it came out and still love to catch the reruns. But to me the best episodes were the first two seasons when John Amos and Esther Rolle were on. And I loved the friendship of Eshter Rolle and :"Willona!" Great show!

Ralph, from seeing him yearsssss ago is such a great person. He either lived in our neighborhood or visit a lot, I can’t remember which one. But he was so down to earth, always talkative and friendly.
Love these Guys, Bernadette is still Beautiful with a humble presence, LOVELY. Ralph still presents himself as one of awareness and Mr. Walker looks so relaxed and full of wisdom, he is aging Well. Many Blessings to them😊💞🙏!

When i was a kid i watched it and just enjoyed it, i was born in 1977, many years later i watch it again,probably in my 30's or 40's and as i am watching it again i am a bit taken aback by how attractive Thelma is in the show. I never noticed before back then.
