Great tip Doug! Not only does this apply to drag cars, 4x4s as well. The response or reaction of the suspension is always affected by the anti-roll bar. A good adjustment will be a positive reaction and an improper adjustment will affect load and unload in an unequal manner.
Is there a certain angle that you want to set up the actual ARB first? 90*? Higher? If it's pointed down, and links are on the short side I think it could limit shock travel, no?
Since a sway bar/anti roll bar only resists against what the opposite side of the car is doing, could you not adjust either side of the bar as long as you are preloading the bar in the correct rotation on the passenger side?
Very good info easy to understand... these anti roll system custom made by chassis shop obviously but are there kits to be welded/installed for example A-Body Chevelle or MCarlo?
Everybody was wondering why my s10 has homemade rear sway links with rod ends that are right and left thread thanks as always I'm going to send this to a few that said I was nuts for doing what I did
Have a question Just bought a 95 mustang street strip 990 car. Have anti roll bar Is there position the arms should be ? On mine the arms pointing up about 1 1/2" from floorboard. Thanks
That’s good question. I’d say if you got anti roll bar I’d adjust it to manage the car or truck going left or right and just use the cal trac for tire hit and traction side. Idk if that’s right but that’s what I’m going with.
Noticed in Cleetus' video yesterday that he has to point Ruby's steering wheel between 1-2 o'clock to make it launch and drive straight. Think that an anti-roll bar adjustment would fix something like that?
i know what cleeter said in that vid but i think that was just easy to say at the time. A while back I remember him saying that he wasnt going to fix the cocked steering wheel just to annoy the people who comment about how much they hate the cocked wheel and go on and on.
I have a fox with a team z anti rollbar and my car still wants to roll/twist to the passenger side pretty bad. I tried to preload the passenger side and everything and it still wants to roll
Great tip on adjusting those links! Thank you!
I look forward to these videos every week. Thank you in advance.

Thanks Doug/Motion. I doubt I'll ever use an adjustable one but it is interesting on how to do it.
I love the Tech tip Tuesdays Doug keep it up plus it shows you what you have in stock all new goodies you have to show us😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great, it's Tech Tip Tuesday! I hope I would have that kind of suspension set up someday. ;)

Clear as mud

Fantastic video, thanx Doug !
I look forward to tech tip Tuesday every week
Thanks so much for sharing. Love all you guys do. True blessing to us all. God Bless.

do you have any IRS tips? No prep?
Thanks for that vid, I am at this point in my build and that helped!
Do you start with the left side neutral and then adjust the right?
start with the arm level, lock down the driver side then adjust passenger side to neutral.
Good video and very good to hear that you know
Do they make these for 4x4 trucks got a mud racing truck and one side of the rear end squates down
Good info especially the table leg example. I see a Credit Solution decal on the lower rear hatch. You here in Jacksonville, FL?

Any reason you go for the passenger side?
The passenger side is the side that always "dips" on acceleration.
So when would you move from roll bar adjustments to making rear steer adjustments?
Great info bro, keep up the great work!
Thanks for the tech tip.Would this only apply to how the car steers at the hit or could it apply down track as well.
Love your videos

Could this be why ruby tracks left?? Basically the same princable for independent suspension?
Potentially, irs stuff acts slightly different but it could be
Great content thanks for sharing, very informative
On a leaf spring truck with CALTRACS . Do you adust the anti roll bars 1st and then adjust the CALTRACS ?
That’s good question. I’d say if you got anti roll bar I’d adjust it to manage the car or truck going left or right and just use the cal trac for tire hit and traction side. Idk if that’s right but that’s what I’m going with.
So if Im going left back off a little?
Awesome video!

So adjustment are only made to the passenger side

Isn’t this the same as a sway bar but larger?
why do you only adjust passenger side?
Do you lock in the nuts while it's neutral or you put some tension and then lock them up?
Once it’s neutral hold the link in place and tighten both lock nuts up
What about on a 2000 Silverado 1500?@@MotionRaceworksOfficial
Do Anti roll bar work on a IRS car ?
Great info thanks
