Classic vibes, Modern performance. This GM Performance 480hp LS3 powered 1959 Chevy Impala was debuted at SEMA. Its original small block replaced with reliable smooth modern horsepower! One key to success with an automotive build is to start with good raw material, and this Wagon was a stunning example when the owner brought it to us. Once the Chevelle was in the hands of ProtouringTexas.com. Our crew completely disassembled the rear IRS suspension, air ride, and transmission controller wiring for repair. The paint and body were in excellent condition. Reassembly was no easy task, but well worth the effort. With the Ls3 combination fitted, the air intact needed fabrication to sit a bit lower to clear the hood. With everything installed we could move to making the 4L60e transmission shift thru all 4 gears. Completing the drivetrain, we used a compushift trans controller. The interior of this Impala features a rare factory optioned two door body but still has rear seats for the kids, including bucket seats and center console. Instrumentation from Classic Industries fill in the factory dash with modern technology and classic vibes. A quick upgrade to the power steering, full custom Bluetooth audio, and air conditioning that's upgraded with a Sure-fit Vintage Air system and smooth firewall.

Man I miss protouring builds. It makes me think of "real" road cars, drivers, can put down twin tracks, and still get decent MPG..... Power Tour stuff.
I'm kinda thinking of doing a 1 ton square with a boosted tpi, LSA/LS9, or just go Cummins. Either way the plan and inspiration is protouring...... but on a work truck application. If I need to run to Los Angeles in an emergency that truck can back up all positions.
damn dude I've seen this car in so many videos from shows. I did not know you guys work this car. this is the hands down baddest pro touring Impala. I'd do forgelines or hre's but this is still the most exceptional '59 ever. what shop originally built this or was it a garage guy. this is just the coolest. i grew up watching Boyd build chezoom and cadzilla and he was building restomods before pro touring and restomod were even words. he did a lime met green convertible with a full tonneau thing and a elky bed trailer and that when I discovered that the 59 is a tiny bit cooler than the legend. you know a 61 bubble 409 car which is still one of the prettiest Chevy built. wow you mofo's must be even better and more skilled than I thought. to be given this one of a kind car with full trust from the owner says to me that you guys a something way above most shops. whether its full custom or altering a car like this I don't know anyone who would let any shop but the highest of caliber near this f-ing thing if it were me so respect is certainly deserved. you've got mine. thank you so much for sharing this with us. im so stoked I've not really seen anything were this car was featured and even discussed really. outstanding gents out-f-ing-standing. cheers
