I never saw anyone detail the interior of a car missing half of it’s windshield. That’s enthusiasm!

Its parked inside and a new windshield is on the way, so why not clean it out? Do the best with what you have available.

Obviously you never worked in a body shop. When we would get broken laminated windshields the slivers went everywhere. After 44 years in the shop you learn…..fast.

The interior of the 1964 Impala is the most beautiful blue that I've ever seen. Amazing what a little cleaning up can do to a car. I love your 59 collection as well, it's one of my favourite 1950's cars, as it's one year younger than me.

When I was a kid (if you were a Chevy guy) you wanted a 55-57 Bel Air or a 62-64 Impala. In South Dakota I never saw a 58 Impala and the 59-61 Impala's were totally bypassed. I am sure a large number of 59-61 Chevys that were in good shape just got scrapped. My grandfather bought a new 59 Impala (yellow and green) 4-door. I have great memories of that car. Glad to see you are able to keep some of the 59's that are now far and few (and expensive). The blue interior really stands out on that 64. Enjoy all your episodes. Thanks.

I have a soft spot in my heart for a 59 Chevy, wagon or otherwise. My family had a 59 wagon and when I started driving I got it. I LOVED that car... still do. Never get rid of yours. I also had a 63 and a 64 Impala.

i don't think i blinked once throughout your entire vid, lol
    i am mesmerized.
huge huge huge GM fan and owner here. growing up we always had GMs, my grandad always had GMs as well. my first memory is our '58 Impala with the trailer hitch - we pulled our torquoise and white little trailer out to the lake each summer with that car. then we had a '62. then a '68. then a '69. and so on. our neighbours across the street had a copper-coloured '59 Biscayne 4-door with the huge pillars and a straight six, with three on the tree. it was beautiful but sucked wind, haha.
Grandad had a '59 Pontiac Laurentian. then a '64 Chev Bel Air. and so on. i've had Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs and GM trucks. currently my 1975 Chev Caprice classic - convertible - is getting a ground up resto. should be ready for paint soon then a new top and interior. awesome vid. huge thumbs up.

My Dad had a 59. After I was born, I was brought home from the hospital in a white 2 door 59, so it was my first ride in a vehicle. Maybe that's why I like them, plus I remember my Dad going fast and we had some old 8mm home movies 🎬 of it. My Dad is gone, so pretty much all I have is some hub caps that came on the 59. A badge of the twin flags one checker on the right, and the Impala on the left never used. Thank you for sharing your treasure
    Someday, I ll have a 59

Cool collection of 59s. I am not a chevy person but my Dad had a 59 El Camino, black with silver interior. It also had the GM cool pack AC mounted on the hump that he removed within days of buying it in the mid 60s. Then 1966 my brother's first car was a 59 two door Impala without a post. It was in immaculate condition light blue with blue vinyl interior. Had the 283 and power glide. Unfortunately he hit a patch of ice and it slid sideways into a tree. My first sort-of girl friend had a turquoise 4 door 59 sedan. Finally, a neighbor lady had a grey 4 door sedan but I don't remember if it was an Impala. She called one day and had run out of fuel. I got on my Yamaha 60 (I was 14 at the time) and took some gas and primed the carb and put about a gallon in so she could make it to the nearest gas station. So I don't need to buy a 59 Chevy because I've been exposed to plenty of them over the years. Good luck with your collection. They do not have to be show cars. I have the most fun with cars that I can look at and drive and also not worry about going to Walmart or Target parking lots. The most spectacular of yours when you have the time and money to fix might be the coral two door hardtop. Take care

Amazing collection! All of these are beautiful, but my favorite is hands down the Cameo Coral. It's my all time dream car and I know them relatively well. 1959's are truly gorgeous vehicles and the rare Cameo Coral is the best color in my opinion, and the gray/silver interior goes great with it, which I'm pretty positive is what the interior of your car originally started out as, since it's a real deal Cameo Coral Impala. Satin Beige is definitely the original two tone that it had, that was the offered two tone for the Cameo Coral vehicles. I look forward to seeing the progress of that amazing vehicle.

Really liked your 59 black convertible with a four-speed and a three carburetor 348 motor that is a true keeper to me❤

In 1972 I learned to drive in my grandparents 59 Brookwood wagon with power nothing and radio banking plate. In 69 my mom met a GM engineer who was stunned the family still had it because they kinda of built all the rust in so that peeps would be buying new 64.

0:53 - they still had that bulky Autronic Eye from '53 in '59 ? Thought they already switched to that slender, center-mounted one by then. Love all the accessories you found for this one. 1:45 - OMG OMG a 2 door wagon that didn't die ran into the ground ! The size of that grille guard in rear seat shows how huge piece it is in fact. 3:00 OMG OMG ! A Cameo Corral ! Damn ! Lucky you. 4:14 - wait, they got blue interior for Cameo Coral car ? Was expecting red.
Love how well -preserved the interior on '64 turned out to be after washing , the color so bright and vivid as if it was barely sewn together and put on at factory.

@@IowaClassicCars oh I see, I was off by a year then. Felt it happened somewhere around that time. Still impressive gadget today, not to mention back then.

Thanks for sharing your rare cars! Do you ever run across any '59 or '60 El Caminos? Those are my favorite vehicles I would love to own. When I was a kid around the summer of 1970 my Dad brought home a '59 Elkie in pieces and a donor '59 wrecked Bel Air for the motor and re-built the Elkie in the backyard. Our neighbor, who worked at same car dealership as my Dad, owned a '60 Elkie. Have been favorites ever since.
