Katie and Josey are so hard to tell apart…honestly the Bates kids are all good looking and they marry good looking Christian souls . It’s funny you picked this green when their sister Erin just painted about the same color in her camper renovation. Beautiful 💕

Looks great. Look up the tutorial for rolling your duvet like a burrito and the flipping it out. It really does work and you don’t have to crawl inside the duvet cover 😂 I learned this method after doing the same thing.
Wow, I always think Katie and Josie look like twins, till I see you both together, then I see how much Katie resembles Carlin actually! So funny. But still a strong resemblance to each other; there is no denying u r sisters. 🤩
Katie, I love your definition of a messy bedroom: the bed is unmade! Oh the wonderful days of no kids and no stuff. When leaving shoes on the floor looks “unkempt”. I long for those days. Almost an empty nester but still keeping boxes of “stuff” from all those who have flown the nest! And have a 3 tier shoe rack next to the front door holding multiple shoes of my last born (#7) who still “lives” at home (= keeps his stuff and sleeps here, when not working or hanging out with friends). We were almost back to having just our own stuff and nothing else. But now we have baby stuff for our grandson who we watch in our home sometimes. Haha, it’s the circle of life. 😍

The talent in the bates family of the brother and sisters both is just AMAZING!! There's nothing these guys cant build, remodel, renovate or decorate. Travis, looks like you are just adding to the family talent. When I'm able to afford it, I'm going to try and hire the entire Bates crew to come to Alabama and build my dream house. I want Chad, Trace, Warden and Isaiah to build it and give each married couple one room to design and decorate and I know that's all it would take for me to end up with a dream home that I would LOVE!! The best part would be able to say that I have a BATES ORIGINAL from top to bottom, inside and out.
Wouldn’t that be awesome?! I would love this. They really are very talented.

When they come to Alabama for your project I would like for them to stop by and add rooms to my upstairs in the attic area. I’m too old to try to walk around on the beams and try to not step through the downstairs ceiling, but I have been told that there is enough space for about 4 or 5 rooms. Love their work so if they ever want to expand their business I would love their help.

That cracked me up. I flip the duvet inside out on top of the comforter, tie the corners, go to the bottom corners, pull the comforter up and inside the duvet, then secure it closed. It's much easier that way. Also, how stinkin fun to go shopping, get Starbucks and redecorate your room! So fun!!
Mini blinds looks great cuz they go well in the room. Maybe a sheer long curtains to pull out the accent rug. Cheerful and warm.
OH MY GOSH!!! I straight up LOVE what y’all did to the room😍😍😱😱!! Y’all are amazing! Y’all literally do whatever y’all want to y’all’s house and it turns out INCREDIBLE! Props to Josie as well! I know she had a lot to do with the ideas and execution. Also, I LOVE the way Katie and Josie do their hair!

Katie, to put your duvet covers on without climbing inside. Turn the cover inside out. Slide your hands into the corners furthest away from you. Grab the corners of the duvet with your hands that are inside the cover. Flip the cover over the duvet turning the cover right way out. Shimmy the cover all the way down the duvet. Close the cover. Holding the bottom corners of the now covered duvet shake the duvet out and lay flat on the bed.
Absolutely gorgeous bedroom. I was not sure, but wowza. Love it! So fun to,see Josie and the girls at your house. You are really doing some amazing things in your house. I love the floor-plan and how ur decorating. I really love that you are doing things in steps kinda. Living in the house and allowing it to grow with you. Instead of decorating before u moved in your living in the house nd adding that way. I think it is the best way. You guys are an awesome couple. Yiur videos are so fun and thank you8 for opening up your home and lives to us. I am deeply saddened that UpTv canceled your family show. They made a HUGE mistake but I am enjoying the individual channels you all have put up. Love yiur dog with the green paint booger. You might try some mineral oil to get it off if yiu did not get it off yet.

The room is beautiful! Hint on the duvet cover- turn the cover inside out and line up your corners. Reach inside the cover and pinch the corners of the comforter and shake it down over the comforter. I also use this process with pillow cases.
Please tell Josie that since bringing up Bates is canceled that she needs to make a TH-cam channel so we can keep up with her!

Love the room! Agree about the blinds. Curtains will make it look softer, but over the blinds. Blinds are needed but curtains will help make it cozier. Good job!

As far as the duvet goes, look up the "California Roll". I am so bad at changing the duvet cover, that method helped me tremendously!
Yep, the final product is GORGEOUS!! I wasn't sure what the point of the wood slats would be but it definitely elevated the whole room. That was a vision and it was realized. Very nice!

For the duvet cover if you have it inside out and go into it with your hand in a corner and your husband in the other corner and just just grab your blanket with the covered hand and shake it over the blanket you have the blanket Nicely covered you can do it by yourself too with each hand in one corner but it is harder for a king blanket.
