To me one of the most precious things in the world is watching a daddy hold his baby. Travis is so gentle and tender with Hailey.
Cleaning the house was the best idea as a gift for new parents. Reminds of the day before Thanksgiving, my mom was cooking all day for 15 people. She was too tired to clean up, so I snuck over after work & did all the dishes & clean-up while she slept. She said it was the best gift she ever got & a huge relief when she woke up the next day. Good job Bates family.
Yes, preparing for baby homecoming is one of the BEST feelings ever for a GRANDparent… it’s something we know HOW to do & KNOW it will be appreciated. 💕💕💕it’s our pleasure!!
All grandparents should be like Travis’s parents. Always there to help but never to interfere or judge. Always getting along and just grateful for their surroundings. Your parents will be a pfenominal addition into Haileys life. Y’all are blessed!

No sane mom enjoys every single moment. Some moments are just hard, and no I don't miss sleep deprivation and a colicky baby crying for hours. I used to get so mad when people told me to just enjoy it. I know people mean well, but it makes new mons feel inadequate
Congratulations! She's precious. My baby boy was born 2 days ago. Recovery definitely takes some time. But you'll feel better when you rest. Accept all the help you can get. This is my 8th baby, and I've never practiced that until now. Enjoy your sweet baby. God is so good!

Hailey is like a little doll! Just perfect! My Granddaughter was tiny like Hailey. We put her in Cabbage Patch clothes! She grew quickly, as will Hailey. You guys are the best.

Katie I’m not sure if they sell Epsom Salt in America but if you can find it buy it and bath in it each day. It will speed up your recovery time down there dramatically and also help take away some of the pain if you tore or got cut. She is so precious, god bless you all she is perfect. Makes me want another one 😂

She seems to have the sweetest disposition. Congratulations! Blessings! Definitely force Katie to rest when the baby rests. It’s so sweet to have help. So far she looks like Travis. I love that you guys could get your parents a couch and that they were able to replace several other pieces of furniture for nothing out of pocket. The couch is nice.

Aww loved that they cleaned. So many family members come in and trash the place while you're trying to recover(which is why I never allowed anyone) and to see they helped you, you are blessed mama.

Hayley is just the most adorable baby girl. So precious. Katie and Travis, you both will great parents. Katie is so sweet and grateful for anything someone does for her and her little family. My daughter also had to wear premi clothes when she was born. It will amaze you so much once they get older and you see pictures of them as a premi vs now when my daughter is 16 months. Enjoy every moment.

Katie, please still take it very easy. The first 2 months are so important for your body. It's extra hard for first time moms to recover. You have been thru so much physically , and emotionally. Just rest all that you can. And take lots of naps, and eat as much healthy food as possible.

I had surgery and a blood transfusion because I was a 7 HGB, the tranfusion brought me up to 8.6 when i left the hospital, it took 5 weeks to naturally get up to 14.6 and I was super tired and weak until about week 3.5. Rest, take iron, eat well, lots of fluids.
Y’all she is so beautiful. I know y’all are so glad to be home with that precious little Angel. Katie just take it easy and don’t push yourself. We love y’all and congrats, god bless and prayers for a speedy recovery for all!

Hailey is so adorable!! I’m glad your all home and Katie is doing well with recovery. I’m sure you get advice all the time and I know I didn’t listen to this and I really wish I had. Always nap/rest when Hailey does. I know it can be hard to do sometimes because you want to get some things around the house done but right now your body needs as much rest as you can to help with the recovery. I did way to much after my son was born, he was my first, and I ended up having a huge setback because of it. 💜
Katie nurse her every couple of hours. Wake her if you need to. My daughter did that and they were ecstatic when she went back for the weight check. These tiny babies have little stomachs and feed more often. But that is your job Katie, resting and taking care of Hailey.

The first thing I thought of when I saw Remi trying to lick Hailey all over was it wasn’t that long ago that Remi had her puppies and what do mommy dogs do after they have each puppy? They lick them and clean them and want to be close to them. Remi is so smart I know that she knows that Hailey is new and all she was trying to do was clean her and be close to her. So sweet💜

Our daughter (age 37 now) was just over 5lbs when we brought her home and yes, preemie clothes were huge on her but...not for long, they grow quickly! Enjoy.

Thank you for sharing Hailey’s homecoming! She is absolutely beautiful! Katie for sure rest. I was always told you sleep when baby sleeps. Especially with this being your first you don’t have to worry about other little ones right now and it will be a little easier to do that. Loved watching Remi meet her. Our dogs have always done well as long as you let them smell everything that comes in the house especially for the baby. It satisfies their curiosity.

All four of my babies were so easy for the first 1-2 weeks. Then they “found their voice,” lol. Honestly? I think God makes SURE they’re easy in those early days so mama can get rested up for the routine ahead. ❤
My twin boys were 5#9oz and so sweet and small. I then had a 8# boy and I thought he was a giant! All grew up healthy. Enjoy this time❤️
