I actually was the one that sent in that comment but he didn’t read the whole thing 🤦🏻♀️ I know for sure he’s not arrogant and I grew up listening to his father and uncle on the daily at conferences. His family is very much a part of my life so so wish he would have seen that part . Wonderful amazing people ❤

These 2 are so sweet and kind!What you see is what you get. Watching Katie grow up since a little girl you could see her wide eyed innocence and truly happy about little things in life like pizza!
Y'all are just too cute. You balance each other out. It helps that you're both able to laugh at your quirks. You're going to be great parents to your beautiful kids. Enjoy this time in your lives, because it's going to fly by faster than you think it will. I can remember being 21 and 22 like it was yesterday, only it's 40 years later now. Why would people assume the worse, what you see on the screen, is not their whole life.Some people will do it because they are hurt. It's quite sad, Katie and Travis are a beautiful young couple who loves the Lord, and just started their journey as a married couples, with a bundle of joy on the way. I have a huge amount of respect with you being young parents, I have no regrets having my son at 19 and daughter at 24. I wish more would be like you. So many girls want to be Independent and single until their in their 30’s. A lot of good years pass by struggling with one income working 2 jobs. So glad to see young couples like you to with family values

Katie definitely not snobby...you both seem very sweet n genuine to me! When i was you all s age i knew someone who i only saw occasionally and kinda thot she was a bit snobby. Some years later she married my cousin. We came to discover that our first impression of each other was the same😍 But neither of us is snobby! Blessings on you both! I'm truly in shock watching this! I think a lot of these assumptions people have about y'all have been really harsh and not how y'all are at all. I think y'all both are very mature for your ages and I can't believe people actually think y'all live off your parents money! Especially when y'all both work! I think y'all are a great couple and both very sweet and sincere! Travis I've followed you and your family singing for years and you have an amazing vocal range! I'm actually curious about what's the highest note you can sing Travis? I can see Katie as being shy about singing but you still can sing good too Katie. I actually hope one day that y'all actually sing a song together! I think y'all would have good harmony!

As someone who got married at 28, I think getting married young is a good thing as long as it’s the right person! It’s not about the age, it’s about your maturity and if you find the right person.
@Rachael Nelson I agree for the most part, but if you can be mature enough to commit to someone and make things work by putting the other person’s good first rather than your own feelings, wants, or desires then it can work no matter your age. Above all, you have to pray to God and seek His guidance in His Word (KJV). 1 Corinthians 13 is one of the best passages I can think of on what true love actually is. If you can get past thinking that love is simply an emotion, then that is a huge step in the right direction. There are those who are much older than me who have a selfish attitude who don’t have a happy marriage. When I say maturity, I am equating that to taking responsibility and growing out of selfishness.
To me, so many of these are ridiculous assumptions! You can tell how genuine and friendly Katie is in every video, how can someone say she is snobby? Also, the 12 kids question had me cracking up with Katie's face 🤣. Love you guys and so excited for baby Hailey!

PS my husband was 22 and I was 19 when we got married. We just celebrated our 49th anniversary In July. Age had nothing to do with it. I do not feel like I missed anything by getting married so young. We are still in love with each other 😊

It's from people who don't like her family and snark on them. They don't like the type of religion they grew up with. They snark on them hard, for literally no reason. They just assume they will have the same beliefs as Katie's parents or his parents. When clearly they develop their own beliefs, such as Alyssa's kids dressing up for trick or treating.

We got married at 19! It's good being each other's firsts! Been married for 43 years. I'm also older than my husband by a couple of months! I think it's good to get married young and grow together!! You guys are amazing!!

I love this positive attitude with all questions and no one is snobby and everyone is love and care and I love expressing on Katie face about how kids would have and very good stand up for your heart out. I thought I was going 3 or 4 kids but no I only had twins son which was a hard work.

I moved from CT to NC as a newlywed. It was SO hard! I was lonely for the longest time. You adjust and adapt as it seems you have. We're both from CT, so we're happy we got to come back a number of years ago and be with family.

You need to just let the negative comments and questions roll off your back Katie and Travis. The negative statements, not really questions that you read , were done out of jealousy. People see how young you are, you have a house, a tesla, travel a lot and they get extremely jealous. The assumption is that you must be getting financial help from your parents. First of all their is nothing wrong with parents helping with a big purchase if they can. What is unique about your families is that in every aspect of house renovations you have a family member who can probably do it. So for the house you were not paying labor to redo it. That saves a ton of money. So just ignore the idiots here on social media. They hide behind a keyboard making nasty comments because their own lives are miserable and they cannot stand to see a young couple so successful. Keep what you are doing and you will be fine. I think you’re going to make wonderful parents.

Katie definitely isn't snobby. me and my family were invited to one of their church functions a while back and she came up to my mom and I and just started talking to us like she new us, she is so very sweet and genuine.

I am a yankee (from NJ, actually) and I live in the south. Being outspoken is a trait of the northerners which southerners tend to think is “rudeness” or snobiness.. Especially people who are from the NYC area. Katie is sandwiched in the middle of a large group of siblings, between the older group and the younger ones. She probably had more independence when she was growing up than her siblings and was able to speak her mind a bit more than the olders did. She says what she thinks and maybe lacks a little finesse about it. It’s not rude and It’s not wrong. Just different from the other Bates children. She doesn’t speak in the same sugar coated way that many southerners do and others in her family do.
I love how Katie calls it “Jersey” now! Very cool. I am also 5 months older than my husband and he never ceases to remind me that I’m an older woman. Haha.
