- The Blue Beetle trailer just dropped! Join us through our reaction & review of this first look at the upcoming superhero film. Introducing a beloved character named Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) We are so excited for fans of DC and the DCU. What a summer we got! With The Flash releasing in June and Blue Beetle in August can't wait to see how these films start heading in the direction we've been waiting for so long.

It's looks great because it's the first Mexican superhero ever besides Namor in Marvel. I am very proud of everything. We just saw the Reyes family, the scarab, the villains, and the powers. From a Mexican American young adult, it was chingón wey. The villains are Victoria Kord, played by Susan Sarandon. She is the sister of Ted Kord, the original Blue Beetle, and the other villain is Carapax the Indestructible Man played by the legendary Mayan MC Raoul Trujillo, a archeologist turned into crime lord. He wears an indestructible suit that looks like a spartan, Iron Man, and the Juggernaut from the X men comics.
Yess!!! We are so pumped about finally getting a Mexican superhero in DC, it's about damn time we get more of that representation! The film, the cast looks absolutely stunning and we are pumped to watch this, day one!!
Namor isn't even a hero yet, he got more body count than most Marvel villains.

Namor isn't mexican, he is Atlantean like Aquaman, they changed it in MCU. Spiderman was copied from blue Bettle of DC. This is according to Stan Lee. Blue Bettle predates Ironman.

Dude! I loved playing as him in Injustice. His combos were fantastic and I loved the use of ranged attacks with his plasma cannons! Super excited to see what they do with him in live action 😄

We are unsure how you drew that connection, but to clarify since it seems it wasn't obvious - decent representation is rare, and so seeing more variety in the stories that are told is something to be excited for! Hope that clarifies things.

just to give you some background info about Blue Beetle, he has been in comic books since 1939, so he is a very old superhero, he is almost as old as Superman (who debuted in 1938)! There have been 3 different characters who have played the role of Blue Beetle throughout DC history, the Blue Beetle that this movie is based on is a character called Jaime Reyes who is the newest iteration of BB and he first appeared in comic books in 2006. The previous 2 BBs were Dan Garret and Ted Kord. Jaime is probably the most popular iteration of BB, at least to the younger generations, and his more advanced & modernised practical suit is quite different to the more old-fashioned suits that the previous 2 BBs wore, but the basic design is still the same. Anyway with that said I've always loved BB and Jaime has always been my favourite BB, so I'm looking forward to this, the trailer looks really good!

A lotta people don't believe it. Stan lee,t he writer of spiderman himself said that he got inspired by blue beetle and then made spiderman. If you see google Spiderman came way back than blue beetle !
I don't know the comics or animated show, only the Amazon one, so didn't expect a sort of Ironman nanobot suit. Looks like a cool, fun movie!

Ya, but Blue Beetle existed before Iron Man. Not just that, his character existed before Spiderman, Antman and Venom as well. Stan Lee took a lot of inspiration from DC.
