As someone who is half Latino I’ve been waiting for years to see this character on the big screen, and IT LOOKS FREAKING AWESOME! Dude, Jaime can make a freaking *Buster Sword* from FF7⚔️!!!! Blue Beetle was one of my absolute favorite characters to play as in Injustice 2, and his character in general was funny and endearing; and somehow they made him even cooler.
Fingers crossed that NRS makes an Injustice 3 and brings back Blue Beetle.

I like that they went with a practical costume instead of a motion capture suit, obviously they gotta use vfx for all the transformations but the suit alone is amazing.

i followed blue beetles comics and i was a small fan of the character and i liked him quite a bit and then in batman brave and the bold but then when young justice hit my eyes i was obsessed and then injustice brought him in my god so so hyped for this movie like you cant believe!!!

I'd say if the movie does well enough financially, he will be in Gunn's universe.. And yeah, I think Gunn did say he was coming into his universe as the comment below me stated.. Blue Beetle and Booster Gold are together a lot in the comics, and Gunn has already announced Booster Gold is coming, so lets just hope that this movie is good and does well enough financially!

Usually first transformations are supposed to be that way. I'm sure the other transformations won't feel like that, unless there's an enemy scarab transformation. Cause they have to make stuff like that dramatic. But that's just how I see it.

Gunn did say it's in the new DCU, or "an important part" at least. It's not connected to anything else outside of mentioning some heroes.
Let me answer that question for ya bro, James Gunn already said it himself so it's confirmed that Blue Beetle is the First film of James Gunn's New DCU and this is the official start of his new DCU.
It can be apart of the DCU depending on it success. Lets not make the same mistake as shazam 2. Thats why batgirl was scrapped. Because it was too dependent on the DCEU. These are not. These are standalone which can be joined to Gunn's vision
