Bro, when you asked about that speaker from the t-shirt guy. He thought you were asking about the building in front. That's why he told you, it's being repaired. 😂😂That speaker streaming sounded like Buddhist prayers. I'm not sure which specific prayer is it,😅 but it must be some sort of Buddhist prayer according to the tone. And the sarong that guy was selling is not a table cloth. It is a dress that commonly men wear in Sri Lanka. It is a piece of fabric which sewed by two ends, and in here men wear it by tightening around the waist. I think that second speaker was streaming some Islamic prayers, that's what it sounds like. I just wanted to let you know those miscommunications. Your videos are amazing. Really enjoy your content.❤
The sarong is the fabric men wear below their waist, In SL and South East Asia it’s called the sarong, In the Indian sub continent it’s called the lungi, Vetti depending on the area.. It’s not a table cloth 😊
Also those annoying screams are from the temple, They banned noise pollution sometime ago but I guess Buddhist monks especially the politicized kind are above the law
One of the best TH-cam channels and A Great & honest person you are Chris.. buying things only to support the street vendors.. thanks man.. Enjoy beautiful Sri Lanka..
Could be right but at the same time it’s not just the language barrier, they don’t take time to listen and understand others. It’s a common problem I guess.
The dice Is for a game called kata (කැට ගැසීම)it's a game done during the Sri Lankan new year season it's a game done by a group of people the game goes like this a A piece of wood is lean against a wall and the dice Is thrown at the piece of wood and the face value is counted the person with the highest number wins if the count is equal they'll go for another turn.
Thank you for sharing the great video I love the vibrant atmosphere of the market ,and your bargaining skills ,the people are friendly, watching from South Africa.
Thank you for taking me back to Kandy, As a Sri Lankan living in the UK, not been to Sri Lanka for the Last 10 years. sweet memories were brought back as i used to roam around the city of Kandy during my Teen age.
You're awesome Chris. Love the way you treat the local people and support their small business as much as you can ...you're such a responsible visitor ... Keep it up! ❤
I am living in a developing country and I like this kind of hectic, warm traditional market. But I don't like dirty markets. Thanks a lot for sharing your lovely vlog from Srilanka. Enjoy your traveling overseas & best wishes.
The Table cloth you referred as , it’s not a table cloth, That’s called SARONG, Men’s wear , wrap around type of dress but it’s stitched on both ends together
Here in reno Nevada Sierra mountains watching your video at 6pm. I have to do my grocery shopping in Sacramento CA. Love San Francisco city. Dr. Hussain
Haha love it.. Sarong is still not a table cloth but more like a men's pair of pants... Just wrap one around your waist... Natural air conditioning haha... Keep the rocking vids
Let me explain to you one of the popular dice games in Sri Lanka. It calls ‘Keta’. It is kind of a gambling game. You can see the dice has 6 sides 1. 3 dots 2. 6 dots 3. 9 dots 4. 12 dots 5. 15 dots 6. 18 dots The first three are less than ten dots we called it ‘adu’ last three are more than ten dots we call ‘wedi’. The people can bet to ‘wed’ or ‘adu’ before throwing it. Then one man throws the dice to a vertical surface kind of a wooded board. So now you know what happens if turned 3, 6, or 9 sides, ‘adu’ bets are won, if turn 12, 15, or 18 sides, ‘wedi’ bets are won. ☺
Hello friend Chris here I am from Sri lanka Kandy living here in China Shanghai for 12 years. Thank you for visiting Sri lanka hope to catch up with you . Blessings .
The Kandy lake ' fishes are being overfed 😂,. You walked around the street as a one man army, there's not any other foreigners on the street as used to be especially in Kandy. The streets are full of vendors who are selling many items on the pathways. Thank you for helping some of them even though it was not your taste to buy it. I hope your granny will like the colorful handbag as her souvenir. How do you say in Spanish, the good ? Tres Bien? Take care Chris and enjoy your stay in Kandy 👍
Helo sir. How are you. It is very valuable that you come to lank this month... my favorite youtuber .....💖💖 whom i admire a lot.. thank you sir..💫💫💫💖💖💖

Chris... walking around the city and shopping in the Kandy is another VIBE. get a little idea about prices of the goods before you buying goods in sri lanka chris, if not they charge from you as they wish. Concern about that. if you pay reasonable prices for goods then you can buy more things and can help to more venders also in the city. I feel, sometimes they over charge for little things. (Ex.flip flops). Your (1st shopping day at "world market" in PETTAH, their prices was not reasonable, very expensive, cant agree with them.)Sound comes from not only buddhist temple its comes from hindu temple also. Sarong is not table cloth but you can see men wearing sarong every where (specially village) in sri lanka and also India. Sorry for the situation you met in ELLA. Sending greetings from here in sri lanka. ❤🥰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰
Sri Lankan tradition is that they put some money and some people predict it will be high number above 6 or low number below 6 and you roll it and player with the highest number wins all the cash .
You are such a amazing kind heart person brother ❤🙏...tnx for helping poor people ! Nature always protect you brother ! Buddha bless ! Love you brother 🙏 ❤..

That speaker is not from the bank, those are sermons of the temple
Some our people mislead forigners.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@oskarumesh2394 it's not misleading it's just they don't understand what foreigners are asking..
I think they don't quite get the accent of foreigners. But these street vendors are too aggressive.
Could be right but at the same time it’s not just the language barrier, they don’t take time to listen and understand others. It’s a common problem I guess.

Chris! Love that street market! I would be shopping all day. I appreciate how you support the local vendors.
