- I visited the main clothes and fabric market in Kandy, tried to bargain with my terrible bargaining skills and met a friendly local who took me to a food market which was really interesting.

I think Sri Lankan currency is almost equal to Pakistani rupees..1000 for a hat is a bit higher ..in Pakistan this same hat is 300 rupees at maximum..but both of our countries facing economic crisis..if thats not the case we both countries show tremendous hospitality towards tourists..
May be 600 is a good deal here in Sri Lanka but yeah may be a bit overpriced..

World is turning upside down...we never see RAIN in February like this. Usually in Colombo its cool and less humidity But this year its totally the opposite...crazy but rain in hill country will fill our reservoirs which produces electricity.
If you have time go see the Victoria Dam in Digana, Kandy which your Queen opened together with then PM Thatcher

Now a day's prises bit high .but you can do comfort shopping for that prices,As even most of srilans ,other tourists usually go kandy they used to sell high prices in my experience

Those are not fake, most of the top brands clothes are manufactured in Sri Lanka. (NIKE, Victoria secret, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein etc). I have found top brand clothes from USA shopping malls like Macy’s which say “ Made in Sri Lanka”. May be factory second clothes which sell in TjMax or Ross. But they are not “Fake”.
