I love stories that meander & weave the plot & characters.

@@2msvalkyrie529 There's been too since this one, I can't remember just based on title & my prev obnoxious comments. LOL 😊 I'll have to give it another go, at least long enough to recall.

Got Gerald Flood immediately, very distinctive voice. Very good production, hope I can find more of these Bromley Rep Company’s productions on line.

This ingenious little thriller was premiered in London in 1957. It was well received but criticised for being too
" talky " . Raymond was actually an Ozzie who came to the
Mother Country (!) to seek his fortune . And he succeeded
back in those days when Australians and Britons were
like cousins . Long gone now thanks to our politicians !
Raymond passed away in Jan 2023 at the age of 103 !!
    🙏🙏🙏🇬🇧 !

That was good fun. Lots of plot exposition to get through but worth it. Gerald Flood's voice very recognisable.

I heard this one before, but didn't remember the ending. Good story.

This show doesn't waste time building up the story at a funereal pace. We're in the thick of it right from the start. I hate stories with a long, drawn-out plot establishments!

A gripping mystery that had me struggling to keep up with twists and turns. Taking notes would have helped me, but the actors' dialogue created an urgency...so I just went with the flow. These British dramas excel in the interactions of the cast to the point where I am learning to enjoy the forest and not worrying about the trees.

It's a pity that some of the drama was spoiled by the introduction.

I am puzzled by the death of the man in a hit and run accident, was it a crime not considered serious at that time?Today it would carry a considerable jail sentence. So how was it a valuable alibi?

Comment contains Slight detail & unintentional pompousness 😊 lol :
Sooo many yrs ago I had forgotten it completely. Ik we must allow creative license but aggravating to find so many holes to poke 🤔 & answers long before you wish 🧐 BUT I didn’t get it ALL, in the (very) end., 😉 tho upon reflection it was hinted at very early on & I like when that happens. Enjoyed! Well acted. Thanks again Chester!

Good this absorbing tale kept my attention right through to the end. An accident involving a car and a bycycle hit and run I guess. The Detectective superintendent investigating this case got it all worked out one of brothers thinks to himself. Um. Sounds like the brothers explanation to what happened sounds a bit Dubious .These two brothers statements .Sorry you're storey doesn't wash with the superintendent. This plot is wild getting framed for the wrong murder if im understanding this story line anyway enjoyed.Didnt get the connection with where the mother's death came in.

Thank you for uploading it, but oh it was dreary, dull and boring. Two characters spoke in exactly the same way which made it difficult to figure out which was which. The two and fro about geography was unbelievably dull!

It's to and fro as in back and forth. And this is old where even the criminals spoke RP English.

I agree on the point of similar voices making it difficult to know who is speaking. This is common in a lot of the older plays.
