Just bought one of these myself and now restoring. Like your 13ft my 11 ft has some water in the foam. I think it came in from the 1in drain tube seal failing on the main deck. in the process of ripping out the wet foam not fun lol.
You can get the original Title for that Whaler. In MD it took me 3 months to get the original Title on a boat, I’m sure FL has the same process. Take photos of the boat that include the registration number. If you have a receipt for its purchase that’s good. Take the pictures and receipt and go to the Police Station, tell them you purchased the boat (show them the pics/receipt) ask them to check the registration to see if it’s (boat) stolen? They’ll be able to see who the last registered owner information (you need that information). Go to your MVA, start the process you’ll have to send a certified letter to the last registered owner as well as place an ad in the paper, it’s a process, they’ll explain it to you. Don’t get frustrated if it sounds difficult there are some hoops to jump through. Trial and error. The value of the boat will more then triple with the correct paperwork. Fix it up make it shine restore to an original look and SELL it, make that money and some videos and go get a classic Montauk 17, make more videos fixing up the 17. Your channel will grow! That 11’ is tiny, too small. Just my opinion..

Yea I like the bow console too its different but I think itd be cool on a little boat and allow for all that deck space to still get utilized. a 50 or 60 would be crazy on an 11 LOL. my bw its great, i put a 2007 45 honda 4 strokes its a little heavy but great on gas, same copsumpsion as my 1992 25 hp 2 strokes johnson, @@oneofakindoutdoors
i put a 45 honda 4 strokes 2008 with a small center console, really fast and great consumption, it running to 35 mph, i can get more but its too much for a small boat,
Awesome! Yea they are great little boats, I mainly wanted it so I can go down to the keys and fish the back country and flats by myself or with someone else and not have too much boat maintenance and itll be easy to trailer!
I have a 13'3" Boston Whaler I think it's between a 68, and 78. Also no title. So I'll be interested in finding out what you have figured out to resolve that issue. I'm in Florida. Mine has a lot of work also. But my floor and transom is also solid. It has a Mariner 40hp 2 stroke built in Japan. Anyway that's my project boat. I subscribed to your channel so I'll be working alongside of you basically 😊
note: I was able to retitle a 10ft Lark with no issues in the early 80's but those days are gone - these tag agency's sux big time - I spent my teens (at age 17) on Nuc subs but the tag agency refuse to give me a submarine tag because my DD-214 only showed my sub school training and my Torpedoman rating and SU instead of the word Submariner. - my paperwork is from 1967 before we even had Navy Seals - I also showed documentation of commissioning a brand-new sub I just built and put through all sea trials that was also not good enough -
before you put another penny in that boat - get the title issue cleared up - I understand Florida will not retitle anymore - research that FL reg number to find the old owner - were you able to at least get a bill of sale for it ? - that trailer alone it worth the money. - I just saw one guy that pulled up a sunken boat in a lake and he was almost charged with felony theft - he was ordered to pay to dispose of it -

still waiting on the title situation to get settled, havent done anything yet, but hopefully soon I will get back to working on it
