You were pretty spot on about what happened. Kudos to the crew for identifying that squall headed towards them and being able to hold the aircraft in place while(without verbal comms) letting the swimmer know they were aborting the hoist!!! This crew did not complete the mission, they flew home, presumably to remove the seat cushions from themselves. Another crew came out and hoisted the patient and the swimmer. I am unaware of any damage the aircraft may have sustained.
Hello. I've been accepted to go to US for helicopter pilot training. In my country we mainly use UH1 and UH2. Training is meant to last for 1 year (i guess from oct 2023. To oct 2024. ). Do you know is there time for break where i can go home in that year or imma be in US the whole time ? And thanks for the videos, they help a lot 😁
