I was born in Angra do Heroismo, and I love watching videos from my hometown. Terceira is my love :) I live in the US now but there is nothing like home.
No place like the Azores my family is from there and I go often, and never get bored of it. Taking new people to visit and their reaction to the beauty is priceless.

Glad you had a great time in my home island. I live right now in Toronto, Canada. That view of Angra do Heroismo from Monte Brasil always inspires me so much. The lava tunnel is the Gruta das Agulhas. The picture of the bull chasing the Spaniard is the representation of the Battle of Salga. So many times I went for a swim in Biscoitos….. mmmmmm! Come by again, my friend. Azores is just amazing.
I was born there and You didnt mention the goats that live on split rock. Or the sweet bread or the faboulous deserts or the parades or the bunkers hidden in the mountains or how cold it is on top of the volcano the earthquakes.i wish i could go back home i miss it so much. They have some cool caves also.best cheeses, wines,the grapes are to just die for if you eat them. Other than that i loved this video made me miss home so much. I want to go home now.
Had Gui for our private tour guide and it was one of the most wonderful time we ever had. He knew everything about the island and that's how he took us to the place that we would never got to go by ourselves. Recommend him 100%%%. We have only been to Terceira, San Miguel and Horta and cannot wait to explore other islands! But definitely going back for Terceira's beautiful view, cheese, beef, and cheap alcohol!

I think there is a lack of information about the history and the importance of Angra do Heroísmo, The importance of Angra do Heroísmo as a city lies in its importance as a former capital of the Portuguese empire a few centuries ago for 2 times, and Angra means bay or bay of Heroism because of it's main battles that Portuguese won against the Spanish armada in this local bay. I'm sure an experiment has happened a few times in the last hundred years but it's not like they're out there every day silently controlling all of the weather like conspiracy theorists think...
