It's an absolute paradise for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike! Having indulged in the mesmerizing views, we make our way to our cozy Airbnb.

Fear not, as luck is on our side, and we find our destination just in time to unwind with a glass of fine wine and the company of our new cute and furry friends - the local dogs! @@tacosahhyeah1116 As a young person, it might be a little limiting and maybe even boring. I grew up in the Czech Republic in a big city. I could appreciate clubbing and nightlife there but I also understand that I was surrounded by a lot of toxic people and situations. I definitely think that growing up in the Azores is more healthy & peaceful.
My mother was born here. I was born at lajes Air Force base.
My mother worked on the base and met my father 60 years ago. I always ponder her decision to leave such a beautiful place with beautiful people. For the U.S. ???
When i retire in 15 years, im returning to my mother land. The place i should have been along. I plan on being buried in the soil, on which i was conceived.
Thank you for sharing 😊🙏 I believe it is different now to what it was back then. The Azores were suffering in poverty and harsh conditions. Fishing was a main source of income and survival. The US was a golden pocket back then and so no wonder they wanted a better future. ☺️🙏 Highly recommended watching Netflix series "Turn of the tide" ❤️ Fun story about the Azores back in the day and about load of cocaine flooding the beaches of Sao Miguel. I believe you will enjoy the series 😊😊🙏🙏❤️❤️ Hope your plans fall through and you will be able to return home 🏡❤️🙏
