For a difficult build you did an amazing job, those chrome rails on the saddle bags look very fragile. I think it looks good that the chrome sparkles when it's on the turntable. That needle tool for the super glue application is a great idea. Well done for a tough build.
Thanks. Fragile is the word. I learned the hard way that many areas should be avoided when picking up the model. But as the build progress there were less and less 'safe' areas I could lift it from. Now I need to transport it to Montreal and hope I can box it safely and securely without damaging it in transit. I'm going to make sure my brother puts a "DO NOT TOUCH" warning next to it. 😬
Thanks for clearing that up. I just assumed it was the year because of the coincidence of it coming out in 1980. Still haven't figured out what the FLT stands for (short for 'Fleet'?). Thanks for watching.
With kind words like that from someone with a YT name like (and who must know a lot more about the subject than me) I'm beginning to sense that i did not make a complete mess of it. Thanks for watching.
Nice build Dario, it looks great. Excellent job on this touring bike.
Thanks David. Not quite "Excellent" but does warrant a "Did not screw up" rating.
Beautiful build Dario
Thanks Tom. Wish I could do a better job of it to be honest but at least it looks nice if I don't focus on the details.

@@dariosmodelbuilds Transporting it will be tricky, better take some model glue just in case.
Nice build and totally agree with the exclusions. Don't see your brother liking those ;-)
The 80 stands for 80 cubic inches, but 1980 was the first year for 80 cubic inche and the last year for a shovelhead

The last year for the shovelhead was 1984, some models in 1985 still had the shovel as well, but the evolution came in the rest of them.
Great looking build Dario
