      @@rosse6705 depends on what you look for in a car and how you prefer it to drive. Imho, after driven the new C class and the 3 series, i would definitely choose the 3 series. Mercedes really messed up the latest iteration of the C class, many things that will annoy you over time for sure.

    • @rosse6705
      @rosse6705 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bighit20100 my last 3 cars have been Mercedes and I've never had issues with any of them to be honest. I'm not after anything quick this time I just want something comfortable to drive and practical which I think the new C and 3 series both are. I specced the 320i with M Sport package and the C Class as AMG Line Premium and got quotes off BMW & Mercedes and the 3 series turned out to be £180 a month more which I'm not willing to pay as its not that much better if better at all. You could actually argue the C Class technology is more advanced and the ride in terms of comfort is pretty similar. The only place I think the 3 stands out more is that it's more agressive looking and the materials in the cabin feel more premium but it's defitniely not an extra £180 a month better. BMW are asking for nearly £600 a month just for a 320i M Sport. God knows what they want for a 330 or a 340 😂

    • @bighit20100
      @bighit20100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rosse6705 hmm in my experience its the exact opposite. The C class with AMG package (which includes sport suspension) was a horrible ride. It literally bounced of a speed bump, felt almost like my seat was going to go off the rails… and then when the car came down it was super bouncy as if i was on a trampoline… then the steering felt very artificial and very light… then i had issues with the automatic high-beam assistant, it kept turning on and off every every 5 to 10 seconds, basically blinding people in front of me… i then saw an EQE the other day at night, which had the exact same problem… so Mercedes need to seriously patch that…
      The interior of the C class started to annoy me after a day of driving and it made it extra annoying the second day i drove it. For example the glovebox compartment opens only half way if there is a passenger sitting, because the legs obstruct it, the door arm rests are far to narrow near the elbows, making you to lean forward with you arm to get a comfortable spot, which ruins your body posture and will give you shoulder and back pain in the long run…
      Then not to mention the windshield wipers… in the Merc they spray the water straight on your windshield which will blind you for a second or two while you are driving, but the BMW they spray it from the wipers straight on the glass while wiping, so you never get obstructed vision during driving.
      Then lets mention the centre console screen of the merc, which is angled and tilted towards the driver but the dual zone aircon controls are on it… so if the passenger wants to adjust their aircon zone they have a very awkward position towards the screen, sometimes making it hard to see the screen correctly (especially in sunny days) because of the awkward tilt and angle…
      They couldve just put the screen straight, there is no need to angle and tilt it… i dont get why they did that…
      Also the merc has cheap hard plastic on parts of the interior where the BMW have more premium materials.
      In my opinion, after having driven different mercs for almost 10 years and this new C class, the G20 3 series is the better car. It feels more premium, its better thought out, the tech is arguably better (especially with iDrive 8) and the drive feel is miles better.
      My only recommendation if you want a comfy ride, take the adaptive suspension on the 3 series. The base suspension is really comfortable too but avoid the sport suspension, its too firm. And absolutely avoid the sport suspension on the Merc!
      I would say, try the 3 series with adaptive suspension and 18” wheels. It will be really comfortable, and the best part is, you can firm it up on-demand if you want.
      In my market, a fully optioned 3 series is a bit cheaper than a fully optioned C class.
      Only you can decide if its worth or not to pay more for the 3 series. But i would really really recommend the drive a G20 3 series with adaptive suspension and drive in comfort mode, before you write off the 3 series…

    Why is no one talking about the fact that BMW just totally destroyed the Cockpit design by deleting the Instrument Cluster Cover???
    What used to be the most Driver Center Cockpit in the Auto Industry is now replaced with a stupidly lame looking flat Interior with an unnecessarily long and ambiguous looking Infotainment Panel which feels "Naked" without a proper "Instrument Cluster Cover"...WTF???...
    The 3 Series is a dynamic and athletic Sports Sedan with and aggressive Exterior Design, it is supposed to have an equally aggressive Driver centric Interior with a proper Instrument Cluster which gives you the feeling of being in a fighter jet's cockpit...but now you will feel like you are driving a lame city car with no bite...
    What kind of an idiot designer gives a soft and lame Interior design language to the most aggressive and iconic Sports Sedan in the World??? Have you lost your mind BMW???

  • @CM.243
    @CM.243 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't like the front. The notch in the headlights of the pre-LCi that angles down through the lower grille is much better than this one. The rear looks much worse with that expanse of nasty shiny black. And the iDrive 8 is far worse than iD7. I know that BMW oft sell it as being like your mobile, but not the best comparison in that you can't use a mobile while driving. I find the iD7 distracting enough, I don't need even more functions taken away from the buttons. And why get rid of the 8 favourites buttons? And lastly, I use my gear stick quite a lot, though I'm sure not having one wouldn't be a big issue.
