@@noahshively2316 so holding a receiver by the jersey while he tries to catch the balls and pulling his left arm a second before the ball makes contact with his hands isn't pass interference. And on the first 1 the rule says ANY extension of the arm to create space for catching the ball by receiver or defender is PI. Both were pass interference. Both got called. Some fans are blind.

I get it being a referee is hard sometimes and you can't catch everything that goes on and sometimes you make mistakes but then why not make use of the technology that you're literally surrounded by to review the play and make sure that the correct call was made.

@@TheDifference-BTWN-US What you guys experienced in this game is way different because of the timing of the shitty PI call (early in the game) vs. ours (game almost finished), and also, besides timing, what was on the line (playoff appearance vs. SB appearance). Steelers fans trying to equate the two calls as the same thing is annoying. Even if the right non-PI call had been made in this game, there was plenty of time for the Saints to right the ship. If the right PI call had been made in the NFCCG, we know that the Saints would be in the SB and have a major chance at another championship. The two things are not the same even in the slightest.
I do feel bad for Steelers fans for that dumb PI call. And, as a Saints fan, I'm very annoyed with the league and how it's dealing with refereeing.

As a Saints fan, I felt bad for Juju. He gave it his all. AB was all-world (as usual). Rankins just made an incredibly lucky play that wouldn't have happened if PJ Williams hadn't gone low. Fantastic game, though. Not happy with the refs, though. The Steelers played the Saints more cleanly than pretty much any team this season.

The officiating this season has been the worst I’ve seen in the past decade, the fact that there’s one of these situations every week is disgusting and shouldn’t be part of the game. Between refs missing flags, throwing flags for things that didn’t happen and the absurd amount of roughing the passer calls you might as well bring back the replacement referee’s at this point, at least I’ll laugh when they make the wrong calls since I expect it.

They're actually called officials. Only one member of the officiating crew per game is called the Referee.
It doesn't help that numerous rules are changed every season to placate the casual fans who want to see 50+ points being scored on dead defenses every game.
I just would like to key to say a few things to some Steelers fans ( and any Saints or Ravens fans who may read this ) from another Steelers fan.
1. I understand you may be incredibly frustrated with the the calling of the game, but going on pages like TH-cam, Instagram, and Facebook and complaining about just makes you and the fan base look like a bunch of cry babies.
2. After every loss it is always "Horrible coaching" and every win is "Great job by Ben or AB or JuJu." For once can we just accept the fact that no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes? Tomlin wanted to try and extend our lead with a fake punt but it ultimately was a bad call. We can't just all jump on the "Fire Tomlin!!!" bandwagon because of one bad call.
3. One of my favorite quotes is "Be disappointed in a loss for just 5 minutes then get back to work; likewise, cheer for a win for just 5 minutes then get back to work." No matter what the outcome of next week is, we still need to get better on both sides of the ball so it is never too early to get back to work!

Tomlin should be fired from the point we were Tebow’d. There are about a thousand reasons he should be terminated. AB and Juju celebrating the fact they picked up a first down is just another Tomlin idiocy because he does not reign in this team and continues to let them believe they are so much better than they are. He has done nothing but live on the talent of the squad. Period. As far as the bullshit PI call? I have always said that if you let the refs decide the game for you; you obviously didn’t plan to win. I’m a Steelers fan but I will never be a fan of a coach who inherited the best team in the game and has done nothing with a cast he drafted. The Steelers do not belong in the playoffs where they can embarrass themselves.

That’s how I felt at first until a couple of replays show Haden push Kamara forward with his left hand to stop Kamara from jumping backwards for the ball.
As a Saints fan, The Steelers are an amazing team. My heart was racing throughout the fourth, great game Steelers. For the people that will complain about the calls I’ll be honest, that Joe Haden pass interference call was bad, but both teams had opportunities to win this game and the fumble ended up being our best opportunity to win and seal the 1st seed and take home field. Overall amazing game from both teams! Whodat!

Agreed that that call was awful, but it was at the beginning of the game. The Steelers played well after the fact but couldn't hold out in the fourth. They would've won if they could've finished the game. It's on them not the refs.

@Marc Delaney There was more than one crucial bad call....one was awful, one was very controversial/ticky tack (4th down on Haden), another. was ticky tack but shouldn't have been called at all do to a Saints false start (the Morgan Burnett PI). Incompetent officiating. But even giving the saints all those calls Steelers still should have put this game away. They were passing all over them and then went conservative......tough to win though when they're giving a good team like NO 7 points.

I don't know what game you all were watching. I saw Haden pushing off on Kamara in the end zone. I saw a defender riding Watson like a rented mule before the ball got there. Steelers were borderline pass interference all night. I'm not even complaining. A defender has to do whatever they have to do to not get burned and hope they don't get caught.
