- Welcome back to another episode and Thank you for being here!
In this episode we learn how to level the caravan for the first time after we had to move camp sites. WHAT A MISSION haha!
Its something I am sure we will get better at as time goes although the first time experience of course had to be even more crazier with bedtimes and dinner times approaching for both girls.
The one thing we have learnt from this experience is number one, we need to keep doing it to learn more and number two, never leave a campsite for the day until everything is completely set up because you never know what happens.
Not long now until we hit the South Australia border, If you haven't already please like and subscribe.
See you on the next one!
You guys are doing great ❤It takes time to work stuff out just relax, you both make a great team 🫶such a lovely family 💕💕💕
Thank you so much your not wrong on that hope your well mate are you in the caravan?
Yep we just came across the Nullarbor about a week ago been on the road 12 months most days are amazing! and some can be a challenge it’s all worth it safe travels 💕💕
We have red and black levellers. They are made especially for tandem wheels. They come apart so that you can fit them in-between the wheels, once you move onto half of it you then put in the black part to lift the wheels up higher. We got ours online.
Thank you for the heads up mate appreciated it hope your well
Hey Guys - for power, It’s just a combination of things:
Fridge - likely pulling around 5 amps an hour.
Diesel heater - probably 3 - 4 amps an hour
Camera monitor - probably 1 or so amps an hour
Misc items charging - can pull up to 10amps depending what you are charging.
The inverter itself - would use around 2 amps an hour.
Starlink does pull around 5 - 6 amps an hour. There is actually a sleep setting on the app itself, just set some times for it to sleep and it will stop using heaps of power and you don’t have to switch it on and off. I have mine to sleep at 11pm and to wake up at 7am.
Settings called sleep schedule. Also make sure the snow melt feature is turned off, that uses heaps of power and not really needed.
You guys are a beautiful family, I love watching your adventures
Thank you so much that really means a lot how are you @?
Great video once again!
Hey man how are you going?
Just a tip , if the grounds soft enough on the high side just dig a little trench then back your wheels in
Smart Idea I like that
guys when using a level on the van always place the level at the same spot every time on the drawbar as its level from the factory the floor and added on peices may not be level great vids keep it up it will get easier the more times you do it
Yes the red & black levelers are the best for fuel wheels
Also turn off your inverter at night that uses power also
Yeah you’re not wrong. Good idea mate will definitely do that. Thanks for the heads up appreciate it
How have you been?
Try to put green wedge on end of chock extend length/height and click in green plates under chock aswell to gain more height.
love it always looking forword to these videos
Cheers brother how are you?
Your emptying the cassette upside down lol plus there is a pressure release button you need to press as your disposing the waste out
Starlink on 240v the battery killer for sure. Ours dc converted and still pulls 5 amps per hour. The little camera maybe pulls 1-2 amps per hour tops I would think. On a 200 amp hour battery 10 hours of Starlink = 50 amps. Inverter 4 amps per hour 40 amps. Can chew almost half your battery overnight. We turn inverter and Starlink off overnight.
Get ya self some off cuts of timber 200x45 if ya near a building site they usually have heaps of waste lying around, use them under ya ramps . 👌makes life heaps easier .
Cheers for the heads up mate I will definitely look into doing that. How have you been?
@@thatfalzonfamily very well thanks .The family and I have 18 more weeks until we leave to travel fulltime .Hope to see you guys on our travels ..
Hey guys another good video. Couple things to help you if u want.
The diesel heaters can pull 10amp an hour, if your running the starlink off the inverter the whole night the inverter will be chewing your battery. The starlink only pull about 150w but you need to go into the settings and turn the snow melt off. If you have that on it will pull upwards of 400.
Happy travels hope that makes sense
Diesel heaters draw no more then 3 Ah at 12v, once they are running, they can draw up to 15a while starting up but this will only last 5mins
I didn’t think it ran that much watts from the battery
Do you know what brand your diesel heater is?
@@thatfalzonfamily they can run up to 60w on max after start up, on low you'll see as low as 15ish watts, you have the victron screen, you can play with all your power devices one by one and see what they pull
We looked into our Starlink and snow melt was on! Thank you!
Guys I have always lvled the van on the inside because that's the only place that matters , bench tops and floors .
Cheers for the heads up my friend I will keep that in mind bro
You really need to invest in a savvy level, also never use the draw bar as they are just welded in and are never actually level. Use your floor inside the van only
Is that the device that is on the phone?
Yes that’s correct, I’ve been using it for a few years and it makes it so much easier. Especially when you’re moving locations so often
Is snow melt turned off on the starlink. I think it's on by default. Does use a lot more power.
Possum level connects to phone. Works well
Thank you for the heads up. Really appreciate that how have you been?
You are most likely on the money- Starlink does burn a bit of power. If you guys have a compressor 12v fridge then the level isn’t as important as it would be with a three-way gas one. They need to be pretty close to level. Close enough is fine with compressors.
Yeah you’re not wrong mate she does burn some power I’ve gotta learn how to turn it off at night, but I wish Starlink had something that you could use through the app to just switch it off instead of unplugging it
@@thatfalzonfamily you could probably use one of those timer adapters between the power point and the Starlink plug.
Hey Kids, the Diesel heater when being used heats with Diesel BUT runs on 12 volts.
Do you think it uses much in your opinion?
@@thatfalzonfamily sorry guys been offgrid myself, yes Luke I think the diesel heater uses a fair walk of power but you have the two kids to think of so in real cold weather you might not have a choice, should not need to worry for months now where your headed. Safe travels to your family.
Guys chill out, it doesn't have to be perfectly level.
Hahaha I no right I was a Tiler so it’s hard for me not to see it spot on level hahahah but your right
@@thatfalzonfamily hey for only 4 days living in the van you guys are doing great. My advice is to go slow. I'd be in a rush to get up the coast fishing to but there's a hell of a lot of good fishing spots on the way
Op,who Pollock to take a lot lot to learn how koopo0lpl it was million dollar not a monthly payment koopo0lpl for otherwise I don't have the opportunity positive opportunity
Did you guys figure it out. Video was cut short. Alex is a Gem 💎
Yeah we figured it out. Alex is beautiful.
still learnig u will get there one day
You’re not wrong we are loving it how are you?
@@thatfalzonfamily Twain good thanks
Should have got air bags for the van. Never have to worry about un level ground again.
Thank goodness I ordered airbags 🙏
Yes it’s a must that’s what I want to get 100%. How much did it cost you?
@@thatfalzonfamily My van is ready in few weeks I asked for it when I ordered the van .Not sure if it can be added .Give Steve a call he will know if it can be added to your van .
Hi guys❤
Hey how are you?
Hey Alex how’ u goin with Luke. In the van
😊😊😊
Did Rocco learn his lesson for stealing your 🍔?
Hope to see some rabbit hunts soon
Very entertaining as always
Yes, Rocco had to be punished and burn off the calories that he took
Hi how are you?
Good
Hey we are good how are you?
Great!
Get rid of the fish eye camera
What’s that?
@@thatfalzonfamily I think User-qd is referring to the wide angle lens mode on the camera - it can distort your features on close-ups.
Hey how are you?
