- Welcome back to another episode and thank you for being here 🫶🏼
In this episode we spend our final days at Alexander Bay, WA Campgrounds before making the decision to move our caravan onto the beach!
The first time our caravan has been beach side before! The nerves, The Stress, The laughs, The Bogging, The memories - It was all worth it to experience Alexander Bay like this!
I will never forget this Camp and the memories we made here.
Thank you again for watching if you haven’t already please like and subscribe your support goes so far!
See you on the next one! 🩵
Bro, u should do a 4wd course, just a couple things ur doing wrong. U can lower tyre pressures and caravan pressures 5 psi lower would do a world of difference. Good vid though luv ur work 🤙🤙🤙
Thank you! ☺️ appreciate it
Definitely need to lower the tire pressure to get through that sand.
Follow Sarah and kleen travels they will show U heaps. Great U tube channel. Keep going U will be an expert in no time. Doing a fantastic job showing everyone how it is. Would be nice to see more beach stuff and activities.
Cool video. Now I know why cows lie down in the rain.
I always travel closer to the water as the sand is smoother and harder. You don't have to drive in the water. Like others have said, keep your momentum slow and steady doesn't work a lot of the time on softer sand. Always keep an eye on the tide times and travel when possible on a falling tide. That gives you more harder sand near to the water to maneuver. One more thing. Always watch out for whoopty doo's and wash outs in the sand. We all had to start somewhere. Love to see your trying and experiencing the great outdoors.
Always remember momentum is your best friend in sand driving guys 👍🏼
Absolutely we learnt that the hard way 😂
@@thatfalzonfamily dont worry too much, we are all guilty of doing the wrong things when it comes to 4wding, none of us knew everything when getting in to it.
The main thing is you guys are giving it a crack👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
So dangerous getting bogged with the tide coming in. Lucky there was people around to help you again.
Absolutely we were very lucky to have met Darren and Shay
You guys are so entertainingly sweet and funny at the same time. Love the content and the learning journey you are on. I’ve given up watching Russell Coight. Safe journeys.
Thank you so much I appreciate the support! Hopefully see you on the next one 😊
Best comment on the internet today 😂😂😂
Great to have you back and what an adventure. Loved the longer episode so thanks. I say more Max Tracks 😅x
Thank you so much. All our videos moving forward will be longer form like this so I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊
@@thatfalzonfamily awesome!!🙌
Once you got momentum keep going no stopping in the loose sand ..you doing it 💪💪
Absolutely learnt the hard way 😅
Im following this orher channel and they lower their pressure in tyres they also have this special boad to help get out of boggy situation. These people actually get bogged just to get out. They a super fun to watch and have heaps of tips woo use a living the dream now
Thanks Priscilla! 🩷
Hey hey…good to see yous back🤙🍻
Thanks Mark! How are you?
Oh my goodness!!! I could feel your anxiety😱. I was so relieved when you met up with Darren and co 😅. Such an awesome video. I'm really enjoying your channel and am so impressed that you guys don't snap at each other when in a stressful situations. Your drone footage is also cool. Thanks for sharing your lifestyle with us and for keeping it real.
Thanks Katrina I appreciate it 😊 glad you enjoyed it!
Omg ❤ I felt so sick watching that. I'm glad you guys made it out. Looks beautiful.
Thanks Audrey 😊 It was absolutely stunning best place to wake up too!
Thx so much mate for taking the boat out sorry if I was being a bit annoying asking you to and just wanted to let you know that I love watching you guys and you have a great family
Thanks Johnny! We took it out in Alexander bay it was great. Getting it off today too for a good fishing trip! Can’t wait. How have you been?
@@thatfalzonfamily that’s great I’ve been prettying good I live in Melbourne so only really fishing in the bay but would love to meet you guys and go fishing with you 👍
the legendary nxt stop are back good episode guys
Looking for next episode fav family, hope you’re all well
I think that’s the first time I’ve witnessed someone pumping up their tires to go onto the beach before 😂😅 I was saying noooooooo they whole time
Agree the absolute opposite… given this episode is over 2 months old I was still yelling at the TV saying no no no
😂😂😂
My gosh, we overthought everything way to much
@@thatfalzonfamily it’s a learning process, by having lower tyre pressure you bag the tyres out you will give the tyres a better chance of maintaining traction. Wont guarantee success but will sure help mate. Go with your gut mate, you were right the first time. Also cant remember but do you have 4 maxtraxs or just 2. If you only have 2 grab two more. Keep learning and having fun
Loving the videos 👍 I always go 15 all round car and van
I have a very similar set up to you guys. I frequent that particular beach
Van tyres 15psi
Car front 10psi
Car rear 15psi (10 if it's very soft)
Love the vids!
Good vid. We have our large van on the beach all the time. You need another set of MaxTrax. Tie the lanyards on so you can find them easy. Drive close to the water if you can. And never stop in soft sand (I guess you know that now). Dont let this turn you off. We get bogged all the time with the van on. We also have a MaxTrax skid so we can un-hook if we really have to then re-position. Looking forward to next vid on the beach.
The main objection of the day is not to get bogged. I think u mean objective 😂.
Great vid guys
😂😂😂 we were laughing about that too when editing! Can you tell we were nervous. How have you been?
You should get a water bladder as well as the jerry cans. Could get a 100litre one then pump it into the van and pack it up and takes up no space.
Omg I was terrified for you all. How good are aussies though, there is always someone willing to help.
Don’t give up on beach camping just do your research on a safe spot and do a 4wd course when you can.
It’s all experience, glad it had a happy ending
Absolutely!
Thanks for your advice I appreciate it
Again epic content thanks for sharing
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the support and watching 😊
Great Video once again
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Wow !!! what a lot of pressure you put the family throught But its works out must have 4 maybe 6 Max Tracks also its part of the adventure ,well done .
You should also look at staying at a caravan Park for a few days so you can get washing done, hook up to water and electricity so you can also get water etc filled up in your Jerry cans.
Thanks Margaret 😊
Great video guys
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. How have you been?
No worries at all, anytime.
None of us were born knowing this stuff we all had to start somewhere.
Very True! 😊
When you stop in soft sand it often helps to reverse back a metre or two before you take off especially if you’re not in really fresh tracks or making your own.
Also I just wanted to make sure you know that you never use high range in soft sand while towing as it’s a great way to destroy an automatic transmission which would be huge $$$ and likely no warranty.
I would still use low range even when not towing whenever driving in soft sand.
Although your patrol has a mountain of power using low range will massively reduce the strain on your transmission.
Legend thank you ☺️
Everyone gets bogg i think its part of the experience. U will.learn how to get out of them. Special equipment u can buy. And following the correct channels u will learn heaps. Well done. . . Your wife face was so scary 😱😱 hahhaha
I love you guys yesss yessss yessss
Thank you! How are you?
I’m good I don’t get to go fish fishing often but when I go I LOVE IT
Let's goo!! ❤

Good thanks how are you guys going!!
I got the same shirt born to fish forced to work. from Delray Beach FL
Luke’s grandfather gave that shirt to him! ☺️
It’s a awesome shirt
Hey Guys
Re your water issue.
Would it be any better getting a water bladder to go across your back floor in rear seat.
Fill it up when you go to get water in your car
Bladder holds about 120 litres and 4 jerry cans is 200 litres.
When you get back to your van pump it into your van with a small cheap 12 volt pump from bunnings, the empty bladder won't add much weight to your outfit.
You could go from empty van tanks to full ones with one trip to town.
Just a thought
In WA when someone helps ya get out like that, it’s courtesy to throw them a carton. Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your holiday, without anymore mishaps
Hey sweet peeps! Regarding your navigator straps, the owner of navigator told me to slide the straps in the barrel then wrap once around the barrel for extra tension, works a treat 👍🏻💕
Watching from Cairns
Thank you!! We miss cairns. How’s the weather?
@@thatfalzonfamily Its very hot and humid lol
When you are filling up your water tank hold the Jerry can with the opening at the top and it suck in as much air
Thanks for the advice ☺️
Hi guys we watching you guys every week.
We may see you on the road as we taking off soon.
Just a note with your water issues.
Why you guys not invest in a water bladder and put under the kids legs in the car. Also a cheap pump it over easy solution. You could fit a 150 litre bladder.
Anyway have fun travelling 😊
Thank you so much! Where are you taking off from?
I appreciate it 😊
Thank you so much! Where are you taking off from?
I appreciate it 😊
Bunbury WA
Have 6 maxtrax mate for when towing like this and also the maxtrax jockey wheel sled and I always try sitting on 40kmh in that situation
The last video i seen use looked stress because no free camp stops and signs. No camping. A use feeling better now and more knowledgeable to find free stops.
Hi guy's love the longer episode, wouldn't hurt u to do a 4x4 course.
N should be in 4low for greater torque in sand whilst towing
Keep up the great work and stay safe👍
Must be time for a haircut lol
Hey Warren! Glad you enjoyed it 😊 how have you been?
Well done your safe and well everyone learns don’t they
Absolutely, We learnt so much from this day! The reward at the end is definitely worth it
Wet sand is firmer than dry sand. It compacts with water my friend. Might feel softer if the sand underneath is still dry.
Thanks for your tip! Makes sense
Great choice of final song. It gave me #ZiggyAlberts vibes ❤
Thank you! When I heard it and listened to the words I was thought it couldn’t be more perfect
Love Ziggy Albert’s too
And I know it’s too late but there is a fish station out the back that’s definitely drinking water 😂 nice spot that New Orleans beach
New Orleans beach was beautiful! The water colour there is amazing
You were at the Orleans CP boat ramp and if you had driven 4 kms further around to the right you would have come across the best beach in Australia …….Wharton Beach .
Xmas wow
So many little gargets that can help use. Its a matter of knowing about them and if u ready need it. Yep thats it learning as u go by
Im watching some channels and hopefully in a few years do the same aswell. Just need cash
Suspended dog leash is they best way for them to be comfortable while camping and always have it above head high
Thanks Liam, I’ll look into it!
Did you take off the webbing from your maxtrax? Lay out the webbing to the side so you can recover/find them when they get buried. Put it in low range and you also have a rear diff lock button.
What is the webbing?
Your last video had Christmas stickers on the window already 🤔
Have you considered a footwell water bladder and a small pump for transferring. More water and less effort
We have actually! I saw there’s a few different sizes would be good when the water is further also
32 mins in and at where your deciding tyre pressures I would have put all tyres down to 15psi to start with if it felt anchorish then 10psi all the way.
Learnt the hard way haha 😂
Just a tip with the dog in the rear of the car, it gets extremely hot at the back especially when its 40C + even with the A/C on, you don't feel it at the front or even in the back seats ,I know this as I had to travel back there to find a rattle next to the esky and it was crazy hot and very little air flow......,Watch your dog back there.....
Thank you for your advice, Rocco has two aircon vents in the back and uv sunshades 😊 and we frequently stop to check him and give him a drink. We love our Mudgee
Thank god for friendly people
❤️❤️❤️

I think you guys are the first people in the history of mankind to actually pump your tyres up to go on the beach.
Do you now understand that is why you got stuck?
Just remember you can drop your tire pressures a lot lower . Lower you are the bigger footprint you got and I think that you’re going a bit too slow & do you need another set of the max tracks I was in robe had rain l thought the sand was a lot softer but you’re right it’s supposed to be hard the sand
Don't be scared to drop your tyre pressure x
Thank you ☺️
When are you coming back to cairns ?? 🤙
We miss cairns so much! Can’t wait to get back. We’re doing a complete lap so still quite a bit away
Luke buddy. Put some Fluro straps on the maxtrax. Watch some vids on sand driving and towing on sand. Keep your speed up your going to slow.
Legend thank you!
Cows lay down to digest their food ..not to have dry grass under them 😊
when did you guyz film this ?
Frustrating watching you guys, tyre pressure is key…… all the gear and no idea. But please read your comments and learn from the mistakes, and keep up the content 🍺🍺😎
The general rule is, when someone helps you out like that its a Carton
Tighten straps on awning before tightening up top cross rail knobs
Thank you!
Bro lower your tyre pressure way more
We over thought it was to much 😂
Drive closer to the water 👌 the sand is harder
We thought that but we’re scared of we bogged down there with the tide coming in
We thought that but we’re scared of we bogged down there with the tide coming in
Here is a tip for you. Take a hose with you when you fill up. CONECTIONS AND A TAP COCK. $6 FROM BUNNINGS..
How do you know that someone has not clreaned their portaloo out using that hose. YUK Another tip. Run the hose first to remove the YUK WATER. THEN TEST IT FOR DRINKING WATER... You have to bring your A game LUKE.
10 liters WATER per person per day is a fair guide. That is WITHOUT SHOWERS.
Tyres front down to 25 back to 30.
As a guide on sand.
B4 you tow on the beach unhitch and go for a drive . Make a plan. Every liter of water and fuel counts. And you can not drive on vegetated dunes. You will get fined
Water bladder mate and 12v pump
You need more Max tracks at least another four
When you want to stop on a beach just let the rig roll to a stop. Go buy another 2 maxtrax you could of got out on your own.
I think we could have also, we will definitely be getting more after this
@@thatfalzonfamily 100% bro you know what ya doing you’ll be right 💪🏻 think of it this way getting bogged makes good content 😂
Did you enjoy the stay
It was incredible! Our favourite place to date so far!
You take that new boat on the water yet?
Sure have! On Luke’s channel you will see it. We’re getting it off the roof today too and going for a fish, looking forward to it. How have you been?
where are all the missing episodes? im missing heaps of days of your trip. or did you just title them different?
They are all here, just longer format of multiple days
Never go on the beach if there is only 2 hrs to high tide. Asking for trouble. Think of it like this... No one is going to risk their car because you been stoopid
Your next PRIORITY IS A UHF AND A
WINCH... NEVER TURN UP THE BEACH TURN DOWN. YOU HAVE LOTS TO LEARN LUKE
@qmp666 out of interest could you explain, never turn up the beach, turn down. Could you clarify that? Cheers in advance
@Sparkles1111 sure buddy.
When driving along the beach and wanting to turn around ( 180 ° )
It is best to drive up to the high side using your momentum and power, then turn down the beach, aiming toward the water and harder sand. As your momentum slows, you are gaining a harder surface. And less chance of becoming bogged. And an easier chance for a recovery as your position has been improved in the long run. 4x4 courses are an eye-opener. And a source of valuable infomation.
@@qmp666 thank you, I see what you mean now… great explanation! I grew up on North Straddie with a sand mine manager father, who would drag us everywhere and that’s where I first learnt sand driving. I definitely do what you say, I just couldn’t quite understand & I always love to learn. Thanks again and see you around utube streets 👍
@Sparkles1111 I was a redi Bay lad. Did you know Kirby by chance. Or the twins ( sisters ) can't remember their names. But I spent a lot of time on stradie. Still a fav spot. But now I am in W.A. redi Bay hotel was my water 🕳
You guys should upload faster :)
I agree! We will 😊
Yaya your guys vlogs help me / put me to sleep much love FAM keep punching on
Why don't you just fill the caravan up then fill the tanks up for extra?
Because when taking the caravan off road to the campsite we didn’t want the extra weight as we didn’t know what the track would be like to get in.
@@thatfalzonfamily this seems very strange to me.
Nice idea but it wound also likely overload the car gvm.
When you disconnect caravan you get the tow ball weight back available to the car.
@@maingey1 if they cannot take enough water without overloading should probably cut some weight elsewhere.
Clean your solar every day!!
We have actually been talking about cleaning the solar! We haven’t done it as of yet. Need to look into what to wash them with ect
Clean solar panels will make a HUGE difference.
Tyre pressure down to 25 not enough should be at least 15 psi
Excellent vid, all new content but…. 25:30 in you felt weird? That’s cause you were on sacred land? And respect to ur acknowledging that land? Would be a step in favour? Of your comforts!
Get a water bladder 👍
👍🏻😊 Thank you
When you coming up North
We’re slowly heading there! Looking so forward to it
@thatfalzonfamily safe travels. Momentum is the key on the beach and I usually run 15psi on the beach
15 Psi on van for beach,
40psi for black top for your van
Thank you!! ☺️
@@thatfalzonfamilygo by your data plate for your van tyre pressure for bitumen. My manufacturer recommends 55 psi for my van, so the “standard” 40 psi isn’t accurate for all vans.
Hey Luke hey Al how u goin
We’re really good! Thank you, how are you?

@@thatfalzonfamilyhaha 😉😘
Mate, why are you posting content that is over 2 months old? Your performance on the beach was dangerous. Obviously you don’t understand the consequences that can arise from being in such a situation or you wouldn’t be laughing! I urge you to do a 4WD course for your family’s sake before you attempt this again!
Totally agree, if it wasnt for the fantastic people who helped out, they wouldnt be laughing.. Stupid stupid stupid, towing a car full of kids and dog dragging a fully loaded caravan in soft sand, just to get that instagram shot through kitchen window of van, they will learn by mistakes I guess!!!
Seriously you guys are way out of your depth. All the gear and no idea. Lucky you haven’t hurt yourself yet or lost ya vehicle to the sea. Go somewhere easier and get some experience. It ain’t all about the content and the go pro. Nothing worse than spending hours trying to get unstuck, ruins the holiday. I bet that caused a blue lol 😅
Can't believe the lack of knowledge, skill ,common sense you guys have for this sort of thing, please jump on a 4wd course/find some mates to show you the ropes and try learn as much as possible, your world will open up heaps
15 or you are gonna get bogged
