Great video, you are a man of my own heart, who in the hell needs a stinking plan? Like you, I start at project in my head and go from there. Good job, man, keep smokin’! 🤓👌
This is a cold smoker, not a hot smoker, softwood and plywood are just fine for this type of build. If you're going to hot smoke, it should be built out of metal or brick. Since this won't exceed about 225 internal air temp soft wood works great
No rebar in that concrete base? Or even some wire mesh? Major mistake. So cheap to do and so costly in materials and sweat equity when it fails... Did I just miss it?
I don't like the location of your thermometer with that long spike on it. Wind could blow the door closed and stab you pretty deep or you could simply walk into it. But your build was Awesome.
Hi this is your first smokehouse and whiteout plan so congratulations on your project, some comments about what you did wrong first thing when someone build something like this there is a reson for it most people say halter meets for siblings and family you just buy using wrong material to build this house not gonna get this benefit and paint over is for sure help . So your smoke house is good looking and it’s gonna last you next 20 years but I guarantee it’s healthier for your family to buy hams and beacons from the stores they use stainless steel smokers
Yeah wood is just fine or more preferable. I have to mention for safety reasons, plywood has toxic glue in it. I'm sure you burned it out a few times prior to cooking with it but just FYI for others
This could be considered a dangerous video. People thinking he built something worthy of smoking food in... Please folks, choose your materials wisely when building anything to cook or prepare food with.
Smoker box is great. But why go through with all the heat, and trouble when now a day we have cold smoke by smoke generators. Personally I use a smoke tube which lasts me up to 5 HR of whatever smoke flavor I choose. I know there are some that last a lot longer.
😂
And I thought I was the only one who uses his Kubota and rototiller to loosen the soil before shoveling.
Looks like an outhouse. But important is that it works for u.

Thanks for sharing.
Nice work brother
Super 🖐🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱
I like this video.
You should really use hardwood for materials instead of pine/osb...just trying to help

Sorry can I ask you what type of grill temperature sensor are you using (at 17:44) ? Looks good!
Great job! What was that second tune playing while you were siding the house? I could work myself to death listening to that...
I can't remember. 😂
awesome
Damn. I gotta build me one.
Молодец мужЫк! Фсё классно делаешь!
Thank you
Just found your channel and subbed. Wanted to ask, where did you find the siding for smokehouse?
Ordered it from a local lumber yard. I think it was called "D" cut or quarter cut log siding
@@thebudgetgarden344 thanks bud
Nice job. What type of fire box did you use. I'm looking for one like that for the smokehouse I'm about to build.
Looks like an old wood burning heater that would be used in the home.
Started with wood fired but changed to propane
What wood did you use???? I see a lot of builds but fail to say what they built it out of 🤔
Dry pine with metal lining
2kg of pork here in oz is 17$
It's everythink in 19 minutes
Good luck
Great video I built one very similar. Very nice. What controller did you use for the Temp, etc.?

Did I just miss it?
It has mesh in it

After it poked me 2 times I took it off the door and put it on the side. 😆. Thanks for your comment
@@thebudgetgarden344 That’s funny.
Why did you have to fry it after you smoked it?
Crispier the better.
It wasn't done, I only take it to 135 to 140 in smoke then slices and fry
I'm soooooooooo hungry😲😬
Thanks for watching
I would remove the strandboard you have on the inside. That contains toxic glues that could Leech into your food
You can get block that is made to be splittable you know.
It was a budget build
My dad used a old fridge he hollowed out
You don't need to use the pink salt
Your not worried about the obs glue
No I'm not it is lined inside.
Damn! You gonna cut any meat or just hang the whole animal in there?
I set it up for either way by adding or removing shelves

This Is how I do it. You do you and it's good by me...
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a wooden smokehouse.
Yeah wood is just fine or more preferable. I have to mention for safety reasons, plywood has toxic glue in it. I'm sure you burned it out a few times prior to cooking with it but just FYI for others

Music sucks!
Indeed it does
