- Though this was all expected. 90s cars are 30 years old so there are bound to be problems. Yes they can be fun and reliable, but you need to have the luxury of time in order to get it to that state. Our little Honda Civic EK3 will get there! It's just that with our busy schedule, it's gonna be a while. It's not a project car kung walang i-pro-project hahaha! Enjoy the process!

Having a 90's civic has it's perks. Must have a bucket full of cash lot's of patience and determination. After all the issue's you will be blessed with a sense of prideb of owning a Civic specially a hatch 6th gen. When you drive around with it people will look at you either with ingit and inis bcoz you have a Hatch. It will be worth it.

I been there. EK was my HS dream car, and I was lucky enough to reach that dream with hard work and perseverance. my advise to you is to buy another civic in great conditions and swap the parts completely. Mauubos ka kakapagawa dahil 1 gamit and 1 sira mngyayari jan. hindi din mura mag parts kc usually mga surplus or from Japan tlga need n mkuha.

1. Have a good mechanic that knows 90's car..
2. Get your mechanics number and tell him to answer it everytime you cal.

I had a 92 Sentra B13 before, had it for 5 yrs.. habang tumutagal it turns out it was a rust bucket, tagong tago mga issues kasi bagong washover nung nabili.. never again buying a car near coastal areas or in an island to be specific.. now i had a Nissan Almera. Thdm style ang goal.. :)

Naka Civic LXi 98 din ako (originally my aunt's car, then turned into my uncle's project car, pero basically 6th gen din), yup the Temperature woes are real (naka-garahe lang siya at the moment due for refacing and other repairs). Same problems ng "ay nag overheat on a daily run" a few times haha! Good luck sa Hatch Project, and I actually might consider yung external na temp gauge mo (sa akin din ang hilig pumitik ng temp gauge kahit di pa exactly overheating)!

Sa idad nag kotse more than 200k KM overhaul nag cylinder head ang kaylangan! Para wala nag overheat, and always use coolant! Love the car! 👍
Ate use honda DW-1 automatic transmission fluid, hindi po CVT fluid😮
Is the reverse camera working for the ekleva head unit? Saan naconnect yung wire? Planning to buy that also hahahaha

If the overheating issue has not been resolved yet, you might want to check to the thermostat.
Kaya nga po bumili pah xa ng ibang temp gage eh pwede naman ireplace nlng yung thermostat 😅

Check nyo mam yun thermostat. Ang ek engine kc need tlga ng fufunction un water thermostat po. Hindi din Pwde tanggalin dhl pwde mg spike ang temp. Sumakit ulo ko sa dti ek ko. Yun lang pla problema yun thermostat tska yun sensor ng radiator fan.😊
Know your car in all aspect for easier maintenance. Still possible for daily drive as long strictly follow the maintenance in all aspect.
I hope you can see this message, just like to know here did you purchase the steering wheel with the Honda badge? as I have my old uncle's SX8 and I'm bringing it back to running condition one at a time, everything in that car is still the original including the steering but the rubber has seen better days so I wanted to replace it thanks and good luck to us! 😁😉

Ang sasakyan kahit gaano katanda pa yan pag inalagaan mo at pinalitan mo mga dapat palitan ok na yan. If you have trust issues it means ipinagawa mo lang mga pyesa. palit pyesa dapat kasi nga matanda na. Have fun on the road ✌️

Naku Maam. Project cars specially 90s. Ready ka na malakeng budget. In the end of each project, mas tipid pa den if bumili ng second hand na 3 years old. but i think you are up for the challenge and experience, go for it. Have fun.

dont forget changing the transmission fluid every 2 years which is overlooked by most car owners for maintenance.

Iba kasi di alam difference ng cvt at at. Kaya ok lng sa kanila atf ang gamitin sa transmission. D nla alam merong consequences pala pag mali ang transmission fluid mo.

Sasakyan,kasi parang tao din yan pag matanda na highblood na 😂. Pero iba mga kano pag gumalaw dyan baba talaga lahat tapos acid bath engine block tpos head. Tpos rebuild balik sa dati yan walang overheat yung mga butas kasi nyan na daanan nang tubig/coolant barado na.
