Hey Brian thanks for the video learn some new stuff today how you're adapting everything thank you can't wait to the next video stay safe my friend to you and all
Thanks for watching!
Good work, glad the lights help.
Thanks again, they work great.
Excellent! Lots of detail, Thank you for taking the time and sharing. I'm looking forward to your next installment!
Thanks for watching!
Great advice again. It is amazing how a little heat to the the pressed parts can make things easier to go together. Since I do most of my rebuild work in the winter I leave the shafts to cool outside and the bearings to warm up a bit on the wood stove. Makes them press together so much better.
Great tip!
Thanks Brian. This is the one I've been waiting for. I am working on fitting my twin stick case to the 465. My Novak adapter doesn't have any clocking option, do able but definitely a bit of a pain. It is an old adapter I've had on the shelf for years. Novak just says some grinding/modifications required as I remember. Thanks again Bud, take care. Will
The twin stick will only fit on the 465 in the lowest clocking position. I am not sure what the old Novak kits had for holes but as you can see in the photo you really have to hang the transfer case down. Yes some modifications will be necessary but nothing a little time and patience can't handle. Let me know how it goes for you.
Brian
Looking forward to seeing it finished
Shouldn't be too much longer, keep watching.
Nice video as usual. I just rebuilt my sm465 and am having a binding problem, mostly in reverse. It is binding so bad that when I reverse and push the clutch pedal in the rear wheel skids to a stop. I did replace my bushings and am wondering if I mismatched my thrust washers by mistake. When you say "binding" in your video is this the type of binding you are referring to?
I put an twin stick kit on my 20 T-case that works excellent from J&B. Kit came with everything needed, and less than hour to install on the case with it in my 79 CJ5. Just a thought.
There are lots of ways to do it. I was after the twin stick, and a transfer case with the emergency brake on it. Didn't want cables to the wheels for e brake. It all depends on what you want in your build.
Those are some cool lights, looks like they are bright and will come in handy even doing repairs when you aren't doing videos. What's the manufacture name of
lights? Also thanks for making video Brian
The lights are great. A viewer bought them on Amazon and sent them to me. The only name on it is WORKLIGHT
I think you can find them if you search LED worklight on amazon. The magnet and hook make them easy to use and they are very, very bright.
to Mr. Metalshaper. Didn't know how to contact you but my neighbor has an (empty) Dana 18 transfer case, plus 2 T90 transmission cases that are surplus for him. In good condition, have been sandblasted. Headed for Ebay soon, just thought you might have need. We've got some good tips from your vids.

👍👍👍
thanks for watching Jim
@@metalshaperJeep I rebuilt my Dana 30 just like you showed in your video! I used all the same parts that you used and it turned out great. One thing that I learned is changing out the ball joints was a project without an impact gun! Thanks!
