  • Sequel to "Akai MPC Key 61 Daily Jams Part II." David creates a latin (Bossa) type groove and plays more of his daily jams composed -mainly on the fly - on the keyboard.

Pretty nice! Hey David! I watched one or two of your vids and thought they were pretty cool, then I just found one with you singing Holy Fire! Wow! I am so happy to see you’re a believer! 😀 I just got an mpc key61 and I’m loving it. You’re so right it is very inspiring. I’m learning more about it every day but I definitely have a long way to go. The more I get into it the more I realize I don’t know. It’s a pretty powerful keyboard/recording tool/fun rig. I can see the potential. Bless you my friend

Amen, yes! It's very interesting to interact with musicians on-line who might have faith backgrounds or not! I truly believe that music is a heavenly language invented by God and can be inspiring to people who might not acknowledge that. Glad you are loving the MPC key 61. I too have a long way to go with it, but it is fabulous when tools like this help us to get re-inspired!

Hey David - great to see you enjoying the MPC Key. I don't have one, but have considered it - I love the build and design. Been a while since I played one, but seem to recall the keys are similar to Akai's controllers (used to have one) - a little stiff for nuanced piano, but a great keyboard overall. Keep up the great music!

David, you've made some amazing music with the Akai MPC Key 61 over the several months I've seen your videos. I like the last idea on this particular video and believe it could be developed into a song. Keep up the good work! Keep inspiring!

Thanks for the encouragement Byron! I don't really think of these daily jams as amazing music because no planning or thought has gone into it. As a matter of fact, 10 years ago I would have shuddered at the thought of posting such stuff on line. LOL! Most of my career has been releasing meticulously crafted albums of my own music and other artists, so this is the opposite end of the spectrum! On the other hand, any new tools or (albeit crude) approaches that help spawn new musical ideas are invaluable as well as subsequent feedback from the music community. In general, I believe that great music can come out of jamming which is of course best done with a group of musicians.
