His historical videos are interesting but his political videos are biased and misguided. He is subject to intense propaganda in Israel and he lacks perspective. That is why he is very one sided and unable to understand the whole picture. Even the historical events he talks about are focussed only on Jewish and ancient Israel history, although this land has a rich and very interesting Roman, Christian and Muslim history.

I'm just baffled how many western non muslim people are missinformed and how they dont have a clue about things that are happening in Israel and around Israel.. Speaking Truth is always the most important thing.
The problem is that, although Oren is often correct, in the case of what he says about "Armageddon" he's actually very incorrect. "Magedon" is in Zechariah 12:11, if you look at the actual Hebrew, so this appears to be an ancient spelling variation. It's also contained in Rabbinic literature. Hopefully, Oren will be gracious and, after looking into this, will admit his mistake. The original Greek of Revelation 16:16 is correct; what's incorrect are those who've assumed the Author meant "Har Megiddo" when it's clearly written "Armegedon," or "City of Megidon."

I have to say that I find your videos very interesting and educational. I am a Norwegian atheist and retired Air Force officer and I strongly support Israels struggles to survive as a nation. As an atheist I don't care much about the religious reasons of the Jews for having control over this area. Those people who admire Israel for pure religious reasons, are in my opinion doing your cause more harm than good. As a humanist however, I support the struggles of the Jewish people and their inherited right to this land and your fight agains the evil ideology og Islam. And finally, as an officer, I acknowledges Israel and the IDF in the way that this war is conducted. I don't see what else you could have done, fighting an enemy who is willing to use all of the dirtiest tricks to chase you out of your land. I find it disturbing to see that the Palestinians, and large parts of the world for that matter, don't seem til understand that the biggest threat to their own wellbeing is not the Jews and IDF, but fundamentalist muslims like Hamas. However Christianity has informed my love for Israel and made it stronger. Furthermore no atheist, temporal, earth-only theory can adequately account for antisemitism, its many and sometimes contrary forms and constant evolution, its inherent irrationality.
Explain why both anti-communists and communists have persecuted Jews, why Jews were murdered by people claiming to be followers of a Jew who consistently taught about loving one's enemies and being peace-makers, why woke and far Leftists ally with radical Islam to persecute Jews, why Hitler diverted precious war resources to continue the "Final solution", etc. It only makes sense when you understand that the roots of antisemitism are spiritual.

Thanks for doing a video on this topic. I play organ for an Episcopal Church in NYC and the pastor is excellent at illuminating how translations have altered, diluted or changed the original meaning of the text. So love this and the picture of the Garden of Gethsemane is particularly poignant as my Dad was born near there in 1936 and they migrated to the US in 1949.
The problem is that in this case, Oren is incorrect. "Megidon" is an ancient spelling variation. You can see that with your own eyes if you look at a Hebrew Bible in Zechariah 12:11. This variation is also found in Rabbinic literature. "Ar" is also a spelling variation of "Ir," meaning "city." So there's no mistranslation found there, the Author wasn't referring to the Tel or Mount of Megido, He was referring to the City of Megidon, in the Jezreel Valley.

Thank you for this! In 1983 I was a volunteer at Kibbutz Megiddo. How lovely to see it again!
A little story - Some of us volunteers went hiking in the area around the Kibbutz. We met some Arabs who were picking olives. I had a few words of Arabic and the Hebrew I remembered from my bat mitzvah. I was the only person in my group able to communicate with them at all. They made us mint tea and fed us. That’s my favorite memory from that time.
I went to Tel Megiddo with my copy of Frommet’s guide. I’m sure I would have gotten much more out of it with a tour guide. I remember looking out over the Jezreel Valley. Thanks for including that view in your video.

It’s shocking how little we are taught in school in Australia, and how strong people’s opinions seem to be. As usual, this is a brilliant and very educational video, Oren.
I have been a Christian for 26 years and study and teach the Bible with joy and fascination at our God's Love, Faithfulness and Genius. Yet I always learn something new that only an Israeli Jew, albeit secular, can teach me, such as the meaning of the names Armageddon /Tel Megiddo, Kfar Nahum and Gat Shmanim, the archaeological evidence for events told in the Bible and the topography of locations mentioned in Scripture.
I also want to encourage you to continue recording your political videos. Though I have always been one for Israel, they have been groundbreaking in educating me about Jewish-Arab history in the 20th century and correcting some misconceptions I had.
I pray for you and your family to be kept safe, for YHWH to protect IDF soldiers and the remaining hostages, to intervene to liberate them all, to grant His Chosen People to recognise Yeshua as their Mashiach and to finally bring His Shalom to Yerushalayim.

I spent 2 months on Kibbutz Gat in 1981. I returned in 1984 to carry out research on solar energy for a project on Energy as part of my degree. I and some of my fellow students were set to spend 6 months at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem but unfortunately the funding for it was removed. We would have paid our own living costs but the tuition was to be paid for by our Poytechnic (now university). Such a pity it didnt happen
